I was taken here by a local. What a brilliant display of fresh, homemade food. It's staggering what is on offer and going by the coming and goings, it has a big reputation. Make it a picnic if you are passing...grab lunch and go find a great spot to enjoy it.

FOOD HEAVEN ! We came across this wonderful bakery today heading to Matamata. The staff were so friendly and the spread of delicious generous chicken & salad, thick egg sandwiches amazing, the variety of pies beautiful ! there were also so many cakes and slices. Fantastic place for a stop over half way between Auckland and Tauranga. A wide range of meals and snacks - from deep fried to sweet - hot drinks and cold drinks. Outside seating is available on a nice deck. All clean and tidy.

We went to Turua bakery this morning and had the omelette.. It was amazing. Had a really nice coffee and an apple doughnut that was amazing also! Recommend going here. Has great opening hours which is great for us on our early morning travels:)

The tables were not wipe down, many tables in rear sitting were chipped and felt sticky. Could see lot's of greasy finger prints over plastic chairs, toilets needed attention, in a time of covid19 we must be careful. How ever a very very busy place. Beautiful tasty well presented food.

I wish I could take a picture of little flower beds they have... so good for eyes and when you go inside it’s soooo good to belly 😋. Coffees what you look forward to while driving - are made to perfection. Amazing selection of sweet savoury options. Very neat tidy and welcoming! A must to keep you happy chirpy and awake.

Stopped for a quick bite on the way from Coromandel to Auckland not expecting anything special. I was pleasantly surprised. Had a steak and mushroom pie and cheese kransky with a triple shot flat white. The food and coffee were fresh and delicious. Totally worth the 10km detour from the main road.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stopover, food and drink superb, atmosphere welcoming and friendly. Shall definitely return as it's on our return flight path to Thames. It's also a short walk to the jetty with great views of the river, and Coromandel Ranges.

Stopped off on the way to Waihi. Pleasantly surprised at the variety of food which was both fresh and tasty. Seemed to be very busy with tourists passing through.

Anyways a good stop on the long drive. Great coffee and service as always. Highly recommend over other bakehouses.
