We were hunting for food after spending the entire morning at the thermal pools and we were not disappointed. The cafe has a very bicycle centric theme and the food was delicious too. Service was quick and efficient.

Yet another outstanding feed from the team at Mumbles Cafe. Every visit to Hanmer Springs we make a point of having breakfast here usually as our last stop before heading out of town. Today we mixed it up and called in after walking up Conical Hill. The Pancakes went down a treat as did the big breakfast hubby had. It was done & dusted within a couple of minutes. The service was fast & friendly as always. Thank you

Great food and great service! The staff were incredibly kind to our children giving them an extra chocolate fish with the kids meal to make sure they both got one and replacing a spilt drink. The sausage rolls were a favourite with our family.

This place is always full but somehow always has a space. We always eat here after a swim. I recommend the beef nachos, or a chicken stack with salad. They have Pete's Kola and delicious coffee. 12 star!

Legit. I came in frazzled with 3 kids apprehensive about bad tourist town coffee but this place is awesome. Great layout, friendly staff, thoughtfully placed barista kiosk on from wall, kids colouring magically appeared. Coffee extraction good and kids fluffies made with care. Food in cabinet and on menu looks great. Found my new sanctuary up here.

Ok, here is the place where you can probably find the best fish and chips in Hammer Springs. No doubt. The fish taste good, size good for one person, awesome fry. Chips are good as well. The staff is very nice and the service is quite quick. Recommend

Fantastic brunch spot in Hanmer: loved the ambiance of big open windows, so you can sit inside but still kind of feel like you’re outside. The french toast was good and the latte was one of the best I had in NZ!

Yum! Went for breakfast which was so delicious we went back for lunch and breakfast again the next day. We had Avocado on toast, Bacon and eggs, Wedges with bacon, cheese and sour cream, Cooked breakfast and Coffee. Friendly service and everything was delicious. I highly recommend

As a coffee admirer myself, the barista over there knows what he's doing. With good choice of coffee beans plus the fish n chips weren't too greesy and the blue cod was very nice and meaty!!

The cook or whoever she was was incredibly rude i realized as we were waiting that we were going to be late to our appointment so asked if i could have my food in a takeaway box and they cook came out to tell me very snarkily that shed only had the ticket for 10 mins and gave me the evils and slammed our food down so rude and disappointing as the girl at the counter was lovely and the food wasn't bad but they should 100% put a muzzle on the lady with the white hair

A great wee cafe !! Delicious food, lots of choice, massive sausage rolls, and humongous scones to die for! superb coffee, the best in hanmer in my opinion, lovely staff and you can eat in or out. Can't fault this place, we have been quite a number of times on our trips to Hanmer and its as good as always 😍

Got dinner here last night, chips, hot dog and a mumbled burger. Everything was good and the batter on the hot dog was amazing - best I’ve had. Came back again today for a coffee and got chocolate. Both were good. Definitely worth stopping by here. The staff were also very friendly.

I believe this is the only place in Hanmer who has a separate fryer for fish and chips. So as a family with a coeliac member we were delighted. It tasted sooo good. Thank you for thinking of us and making it safe to eat out/have take away. The service was great too.

Service is impeccable, absolutely lovely staff who have wonderful guest skills. Food was great, cooked exactly how we ordered it. We'll definitely be back next time.

Although the food was delicious and the employees incredibly nice the cafe itself is quite small and with the decorations on the walls (bicycles!) it made it seem even smaller. We went quite early but it was already packed!

Great coffee! This popular cafe has a very tempting display cabinet, an appealing menu and a lovely sunny outdoor seating area. We didn't end up eating there but we went there a couple of times for coffee. The coffee was very good - nice and strong with no bitterness!

The first time my husband and I ate at Mumbles Café we had eggs benedict....never had them before, but they were absolutely delicious. Certainly value for money. Recently we returned and had a bowl of wedges with bacon and cheese on top. They were scrumptious. Another day I had one of their burgers and chips, the most delicious burger I have eaten. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. We will certainly be returning next time we are in hanmer springs.

Visited Mumbles Cafe recently whilst on holiday from Wellington. Nice friendly service, good coffee, attentive staff, and one of the best cabinet selections I've seen. Returned the next day for a morning coffee and a muffin. Well done.
