Great view! Lenny's lentils are so good we all ordered them. Fantastic plant based meal, I do wish there were more vegan options however 😊

Fantastic food and friendly staff. View on the deck was beautiful. Highly recommended. I had the Noodle Salad with Chicken, would ask for it off the bone next time. Also had an Oat Flat White which was also great.

Outstanding venue for our business conference. What did we like? Absolutely everything! The view was phenomenal, the ability to eat outside in the sun during the winter was a real treat. The venue was set up beautifully for a team of 20-25 people. The food was incredible...so delicious, so tasty and plentiful. And lastly, the staff were just lovely and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. A huge thanks for making our time so successful!

Beautiful garden wedding, relaxed atmosphere with sharing plates at the table. The food was beautifully seasoned and cooked. Really good service and friendly bar staff.

Fantastic fast service, atmosphere & food. Also for the doggie lovers the dogs are welcome. Even have there own doggie wall of fame!!! Fantastic outside area perfect for weddings or just chilling on the beanbags in a sunny Sunday afternoon. 🌞 with views to die for I didn't want to share this fab place(wanted to keep to ourselves) but it's too good not to.

THE most dog friendly restaurant I have come across from all my travels around Aotearoa the past year of lockdown. Thank you for your hospitality and absolute welcome. The prices are great and the view 1000% beautiful.

The absolute wow is the location. A wonderful panorama over Hastings Havelock North & Napier.. The food & service was improved on my third visit. The menu is super, small concise & something for everyone like vegetarian & gluten free. It's popular for coffee. But the meals now I would gladly recommend.

Really super location to enjoy a meal or just a beverage. Great option after a walk on one of the many Te Mata Peak tracks. Owners have made the cafe dog friendly i.e. provide drinking bowl/s directly outside cafe. They have also built lodgings underneath the cafe. Beautiful outlooks from both cafe & lodgings.

Cheerful, effective and happy to accommodate special dietary needs. Delicious burgers and yum desert. My coffee critic partner was impressed with his brew. We were glad to have spotted the back lawn from a walking track and wandered up stairs in the bush to discover a nice place to have a meal. Seated on a verandah overlooking the bay was special.

Beautiful cafe in a stunning location. Felt a bit out of place walking inside with our hiking boots on as its so nice inside but the staff are accommodating and helpful. Driving up you are greeted by some amazing views out over Hastings and Napier. When you enter the cafe you'll be greeted with wonderful indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff are welcoming and the service is attentive. The brunch menu manages to be both small and varied so that you have plenty of choice without being overwhelmed. The menu caters to most diets, GF, DF and vegan. The coffee is good, with good alternative milk choices. The food is reasonably priced for both what you get, and it's location. However, the best part is it's dog friendly, so you'll get to see all sorts of good boys and girls!

Could not fault the service. Our waiter was very courteous, friendly and helpful. Lovely venue, superb view. Unfortunately our snack was a let down. There wasn't much to choose from and the ginger crunch was stale.

We only checked it out while they were just shutting for the day. Looks like to be the perfect spot for any celebration including weddings, birthdays or baby showers. The views ate amazing, the grounds are kept clean and looking good. The interiors look smart. Check them out for yourselves!

Booked in for the weekend and was pleased with the room. Nice comfortable, with amazing view. Only issues where accommodation parking as there was no suitable turning space and food was much more expensive than it needed to be $17 for flat white and avocado on toast is a bit over the top.

An amazing restaurant with fantastic wine and food. The staff are devine and you can even bring your dog. And lastly this restaurant has the best views in Hawkes Bay. This is a must go to destination for either a meal or simply a wine or coffee. A very special place indeed.

After the long hike up and down Te Mata Peak, this cafe is like that oasis among the dunes. Great coffee, great gluten free bread which I can’t get in Akl, great view.

A fantastic reward after hiking Te Mata Peak. Food was amazing, especially the chicken burger and charred broccoli. Sat on the deck and the view was to die for. Reasonably priced, too.

Peak House is simply stunning! I stayed there for a night during my travels in NZ and it was the best decision ever. Beautiful scenery as far as the eye can see and a really relaxing place to stay. Hayden met me when I arrived and was incredibly welcoming! If you're ever in Hawkes Bay, you HAVE to visit Peak House :D

. (03/2017) Awesome mountain ranges. It requires little careful drive over narrow road towards the peak. Once you reach at the top, the views are amazing. Lot of tracks spread throughout these hills and you can easily spot some trampers around. The site is well maintained. A must visit place in Hastings.

Such an excellent service from Kelly. We stopped by for cake n coffee, but they're running out of cake so we had some ice cream. She served warm water for us and even gave my daughter complimentary hot chocolate. The view from the spot was magnificent and the fireplace made the place very cosy.

Stayed here a couple of weeks back with a groups of mates for a gig. We booked last minute so weren’t expecting much but we were so happily surprised when we got there! For a very reasonable price you get insanely beautiful views and tidy lovely accommodation. Also managed to roll into bed straight after the gig which was just at the footsteps of the accom. Staff were so lovely, really friendly and made you feel so welcome also. Would defs return!

Hot chocolate taste plus the view, trust me, it's worth it. Just stop here after climbing Te Mata Peak, and it's wonderful. This cafe is spacious and warm with fireplace in the middle of the room. You can sit in or outside to witness how beautiful nature and its view are!

Great location and amazing geographical feature for the area - the drive up was phenomenal! And whilst space is obviously at a premium, they've done well with what they have available. What would have been nice would be some more detail about the geographical nature, how it was created, and why - finding a prehistoric fossil on the shelly top part was very cool!

Staff were very nice unfortunately we went for dinner and the weather was terrible so we didn’t get to experience the view, food was ok. Lunch would be better than dinner.

Views from the peak are epic, and you can take short walks around the top to get the best views in each direction. You can see the Pacific Ocean and all of Hawkes Bay. The surrounding park is full of great walks, including five that are well signposted.

You have the option of either walking up to the summit via the tracks or you can drive up. The tracks can be a little all over the place but overall pretty good condition. There's 4-5 different tracks to choose from and also mountain bike tracks too.

Peaceful and stylish Peak House is a little gem amongst natural surroundings you couldn't find anywhere else in New Zealand. Favourite spot for sure 👌

The most beautiful vista in the Hawkes Bay. Come up here for a sunrise or sunset, enjoy views all the way around 360 degrees. Well worth the drive, or if you're keen, walk/run up to the top!

It is a very beautiful place. And there are many people cycling mountain bike and walking nearby. Driving to the peak is available. Dog is allowed here. The only thing is there is no picnic place thus have to collect your rubbish.

Magnificent view over Hawks bay. You can drive to the peka, but I will seriously recommend taking one of the many walk. You will be tramping in a beautiful park with redwoods amongst much else.

A place you must visit when you are in Havelock North. This gives you a splendid 360-degree view of Hastings and Napier. This is also a reat place to do some exercise as there are multiple running/walking/biking circuits to reach the top. The stunning view is good to just go up there and relax every weekend; if you have no places in mind to go to.

Once you have negotiated the windy narrow road to the summit, there are great views of the craggy ranges around. This is also a site for hang gliders to launch. The tour buses use a person to stop the traffic on the road up to the summit, so you don't have to fear coming head to head with them.

Excellent views and great walking trails. The road up makes Te Mata Peak accessible for everyone but you can still hike up if you wish.

Awesome view, about 28 minutes drive from Napier, few walking tracks near by, go early in the morning if you want to take a challenge on 4 hours bush walking.

Sweeping views of the Heretaunga Plains, Hastings, Napier, and the ocean. The mountain ranges that run along the western side of Hawke's bay add to the drama. On a clear day, the snow-capped peak of Mt. Ruapehu can be visible.
