Between the yummy cabinet food and menu there is plenty to choose from. The staff were helpful and welcoming. Lots of seating and a wishing well. Meals were cooked excellently and generous portions super delicious. Highly recommend.

Luckily, we made a short stopp for the Whispers Café on our way to Wellington. The Café is bigger than it looks, with a very nice interior and friendly staff. The prices are reasonable but the best of this place is the delicious food and very good cappuccino and matcha latte! We had the Eggs Benedict and the special hot pancakes with bananas, Bacon and marble syrup. Delicious!!

The food was awesome! Large variety of options! Third time coming to whispers cafe and I was throughly impressed with the young blonde lady as she was constantly back and forth. Definitely showed up the other workers. I would love to have her working in my restaurant and would be paying her a good salary to keep her on!! Throughly enjoyed my experience.

Average quality breakfast food but at higher price point. Coffee was disappointing but they were very busy. Vegan and food intolerant options. I had bacon which was burnt and sausages were bbq supermarket variety. Baked beans were tasty and eggs poached perfectly.

Stopped for breakfast. Really deceiving place - it is a lot bigger than you'd expect. Indoor and outdoor seating. Menu or cabinet option for food. Our food was amazing and very quick to arrive - we ordered off the menu. Place was older, some might say dated, however we liked the charm it gave the place. It was clean and decorated with photos and artwork for sale, wishing well and a piano. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Well worth the stop!

Pretty dated, the serving staff were lovely, if a bit harried, lovely chap who took my order didn't give me a number, but I asked and he was sweet about it. I had a mocha which was fine, but really didn't like the conical cup and the style of spoon (funny shape) which detracted from the enjoyment somewhat.. I'm not young, but really seems aimed at the older demographic.

Fantastic little Cafe on Main street Levin. We just wanted a coffee and breakfast and got a superbly presented egg Benedict and a yummi tasting Mochachino. The chino was not too sweet so you could taste the coffee and chocolate and the egg Benedict was just so nice and filling I would have eaten more if only I had a larger stomach. LOL. The girls were nice and friendly and quick. Go girls, you are doing a fantastic job. Thanks for making a travellers' morning great.

Great service and great food. They really go the extra mile when it comes to dietary requirements. DF/GF pan fried fish is a go to as are their GF/DF beef nachos (vegan cheese!). They make a great coffee too!

Great place for brunch/lunch, worth coming back to. The meals and the coffee are quite good. The cabinet food all looks amazing, so we had to try some cakes too. I recommend "Doug's ginger crunch" - a decent hit of ginger in it, no messing around unlike some other cafes. Or just stare through the glass a bit, you'll feel better. The bench seats at some of the tables are fine but a bit awkward to get in and out of. Otherwise, good service with a smile.

Stopped in here for coffee and a bite to eat on our way north at 9.30 on a Sunday morning and were SO impressed! The food we had was delicious - a chicken, bacon and mushroom fricelle - toasted, and a date scone warmed and buttered - YUM! So many lovely choices in the cabinets, great tasting coffee and friendly service. Totally recommend a stop at Whispers Cafe!

Surprisingly perfect for what we were after. Big space, nice covered courtyard area for outside eating, cute little art gallery and fountain in the back, some toys for the kids, decent balance of kitchen and preprepared food on offer, our food was timely, good, and everyone was friendly but not irritatingly so. I liked the furniture too. Just a really comfortable feel to the place.

We stopped in today on our trip North from Wellington for an early breakfast. We like Whispers. The food is good and we enjoy L'Affare coffee. Today I had mince on toast with eggs & spinach. I'm a fan, I'd definitely have it again. Food & coffee arrived together, which was okay. I prefer the philosophy they have at L'Affare HQ though of getting drinks out asap. I'll often end up having another with my meal. It was also a bit on the chilly side this morning and both front & back doors were wide open. It's a big space and I was wishing for my coat. We'll be back again though. I'll bring my coat just in case! 😉😁

Good coffee, they offered coconut milk coffees, which are hard to find. They always have a good range of enticing cabinet good. The interior is comfortable but with a facelift could be much better. Levin has very limited options for good cafes, they should update the interior, it'd make a huge difference in patronage.

A fantastic, busy cafe that should really take reservations for brunch on the weekend. Loads of seating throughout the place with tables to host from couples to large groups or families. The blackboard menu above the main counter and kitchen is vast with a good selection of food, while the deli in front is stocked with good looking cakes, pastries and slices of something sugary! I opted for the staple large flat white, which came out hot, smooth foamy milk and a good sharp coffee taste. To eat was the classic eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. A generous dish with 2-3 good looking thick slices of salmon and perfectly cooked poached eggs. The hollandaise sauce looked like it was out of a jar and would have finished the dish off if it was homemade, but it's a busy place so no real bother. This place is one to visit when in Levin.

We had a wonderful break here ... very nice little cafe with a great selection of vegan food. We had a fantastic chocolate brownie, delicious date scone and a delicious overnight muffin. The price was justified and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Conclusion everyone who is on the way to wellignton and need a little vegan break, should check it out!

Great place for a stopover if you having a long drive from Welly to the north. Barista is good and your regular bacon and eggs are a good choice. Their French toast with syrup is super sweet but a great delight. Busy on a Saturday morning/brunch
