a.We went here for a birthday dinner with a large family group, I can honestly say everyone really really loved the food great service and the friendly staff every body got their food at the same time.
Not easy to do with a small kitchen.
We all highly recommend this restaurant 👌

W.I'm not a huge fan of the decoration, apart from that, we spent a pleasant moment to the sound of the piano. Good service, good food. This Isa good spot for a brunch in Petone.
E.First time in this place. I like my duck dish very much but my husband think the beef Wellington got too strong red wine taste(I like it though). The smoke salmon on light meal for my little one is slightly over cooked. Overall this is a good place for family dinner.

Had beacon and eggs, toast was nice and thick, beacon was nice and crispy and the scrambled eggs where nice and creamy. Truly well done on every aspect.

J.Out for Friday night dinner and we decided to go to this restaurant. The menu is Western, the service nice and the food everything the descriptors in the menu said it was. But, something was slightly off. The decor. Unusual to go with the name, it even came with a sombre meaning on one of the walls describing how the adzuki bean was named. Serious, but not necessary in my humble opinion.
f.Had the big breakfast recently. Other than the dry baked beans component was more than ok..spinich a nice touch..Coffee was good to.
Friendly chat about my dog (same breed as her own) was appreciated and welcoming for a return visit
M.Great food. The hardest part is working out which fantastic dish to eat.
I am amazed this place is not full all the time. And has not changed. Still worth driving 30km just for the great food.

I had a hearty portion of creamy carrot, kumara and pumpkin soup ($10) served with two ample slices of ciabatta. The soup was delicious: smoky, meaty undertones warmed me on a cold winter's night.
For mains I ordered the Tarakihi fillets ($32) served on a bed of oven roasted and steamed vegetables. Appetising to look at, the generous portion of fish and veggies were exquisitely prepared, full of flavour and satisfying to the last morsel.
For dessert, I enjoyed the apple tarte tatin with vanilla ice-cream ($12). It's freshly made from scratch, with an advertised wait time of 15 minutes. In fact, I waited 20 minutes, but it was worth every minute, and gave me a chance to build up an apetite to finish with this deeply comforting warm dessert.
The service and ambiance were a delight. Our hostess was attentive and gracious. Great value for money :)

L.We have always liked Adzuki Bean and a big plus is it's Byo. We like our own choice of wine. The Morrocan lamb was excellent, other meals good except my venison pie. It came in a high, souffle container topped with mashed potato and covered with ( bought) pastry which was bordering on soggy. But more disappointing was the venison filling which was indistinguishable from the sauce/vegetables. It was a large container of overcooked mushiness. I had an excellent dessert of apple tartin which made up for the venison. Service was pleasant. The table made from a wagon wheel which was interesting.

Q.The food was tasty. The servers were very nice although one of them was noticeably socially awkward. I ordered the schnitzel which was very tasty and my partner described the duck as "the best duck I've ever had." Great casual restuarant for a group dining experience.
D.On first impressions I wasn't sure what to expect as the painted murals sort of threw me... but the service was nice and the food was delicious... we had the salmon which was so fresh and cooked to perfection... and I had the chicken which was again nice and tender and very tasty... the portions were just right not huge and I couldn't eat it all.. I do recommend this place and will return again
J.No complaints about the food or service but when I went to pay they would not accept my entertainment book voucher stating it was New Year. However we were there on Jan 2nd which was not a public holiday so the voucher should have been allowed. Disappointing!
G.The food and service was absolutely amazing. The decor could so with some work, but it was a really nice dining experience regardless. We had salt and pepper squid, beef Wellington and a couple of other dishes which were cooked to perfection.
S.This place is cute and the food is good. Few people mentioning the decor... it is a little old and a few of choices, but I suppose it's part of the charm! Really lovely staff and always a good Eggs Benedict! Will keep coming back.
E.We received great service. I had a really good seafood chowder with scallops and prawns. Authentic Chai late - not from syrup and good coffee. Currently in the Entertainment Book if you have it. Nice sunny seats and some further back away from the window in the shade.

It's not marketed as an upmarket cafe - just modest seating and good prices if you're hungry.
L.The service was nice and the whole meal was okay but I really didn't like the "roast pork" dish. It wasn't roast pork, it didn't have crackling etc...it was the panfried maple flavour marinaded pork steak which I think you can buy it from panksave. It didn't taste nice. I don't think I will go back again.

L.A friend and I dined there for lunch recently ... it was by far the best Lunch Menu in Petone during the week and the food lived up to it's expectations .
We both ordered the steak ( one Medium and one Medium-rare ) They were done to perfection and the whole meal was most enjoyable .
This Restaurant must be one of Petone's best-kept secrets ! The service was excellent and the whole experience made us want to share the secret with others . Don't wait ... make a booking today ... you'll be pleased you did !

A.Coffee better than expected, but food a little underwhelming. Was fine I guess, but there are much better options in Petone. Probably wouldn't bother going back unless everywhere decent was full. Ambience pretty bland for Wellington.

s.Had dinner there the other night. The food wasn't bad but it certainly want exceptional for the price. You can certainly get much better food for the prices they are charging.
N.A real surprise! We stopped for breakfast whilst passing by, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Haloumi, spinach, mushroom, tomatoes with some bacon. Very nicely cooked. Coffee good.
