First visit. On weekend.- Food is great. But noisier inside than we would have liked, but we had noise sensitive people in our group and it was the weekend. The outside covered section is quieter and is a lovely space. Second visit. On Wednesday. Amazing service! Let us book a table that was walker friendly. (somewhere to put walker out of the way). The staff Dealt with difficult dietary restriction with ease and compassion. Very cool. The "dirty fries" and my new cold say fav meal. True soul food. We had a lovely wee chat by the Christmas tree before heading back into the Christmas madness of the hutt. Thanks for your help days bay pavilion team!

Good place for food. Lots of entertainment things for kids (outdoors). We had breakfast and had some office work. Got a corner table with our laptop and worked comfortably while enjoying coffee and pizza. Fish and chips was tasty.

Great place to host a casual birthday party. We had a 1st birthday party there and it was perfect as we were allowed to set up the decorations and adjust the tables accordingly. Friendly and helpful staff too.

I’m not going to lie, i’ve never been here. However, it looks like the best place to eat in the world, affordable prices, authentic wood-fired pizza and a friendly ethos, what more can you ask? When comparing the prices here to my native country, its unbelievable! With the choice of a picturesque outside dining experience or a friendly family orientated warm inside dining experience, there is nothing to complain about. Heaps of quality food on offer that caters to every taste, Days Bay Pavillion will be my first port of call upon arriving to NZ!

Great place for work Christmas lunches, plwnty of room to have games. There should be recycling bins not jus big wheelie bins for all rubbish. The council should help set that up as its a public space

I do enjoy visiting the Pavilion, the place has a nice feel, open and friendly and great for kids and public transport (including the east/west ferry), the food is great, friendly staff and the group's I went with recently all enjoyed the experience, good staff and service, well worth the 5 stars, highly recommend for a layed back experience.

For the forth year in a row we have had our staff end of year dinner at this venue, with 16 adults and four children we where seated inside and looked after by Julia who did an outstanding job in meeting our needs. The food was excellent and served very quickly, the atmosphere was great. A great range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available. Reasonably priced meals to cater for everyone needs I cannot think of anything else but to say we will be back next year. A big thanks from staff of Aladdin Outdoor Power Equipment ltd

Not too noisy. Took 2 younger grandchildren and 2 older grandchildren. The youngest ordered the pancake stack with bacon,banana and maple syrup. It was huge but he demolished it . All our meals very nice. The coffee was hot and in a generous cup and the cheese scone I shared with eldest grandchild ,fault less . Highly recommended and of course plenty of room outside for everyone to wander or run around afterwards.

We had a family celebration here last weekend. Leroy looked after us, above and beyond expectations. The food and bubbles flowed continuously and flawlessly for the whole evening. Our friends and family could choose their own delights, all of which were of a very high standard and enjoyed immensely. 5 stars to Leroy and the The Pavillion chefs. We look forward to many return visits.

Both of us wondered why you smothered the omelet in mayonnaise, the whitebait has such a delicate flavour and we felt this was spoilt by the taste of the mayo. I've been going to the Pavilion for years - the new owners have actually improved it I think particularly the non pizza food... The prices are reasonable, friendly staff and even though they were v busy last time we didn't wait very long for our food... it's great if you have kids with the playing field and the outside area with tables at the front - I recommend it.

Nice place for small functions like kids birthday as they have an outside area with kids' ride-on toys and bean bags. Their pizzas are great and the food selections are just fine. The place is also good for breakfast, brunch, and dinner as they are open until 9pm. There are enough free parkings inside too.

First time visitors to Wellington, we took the ferry to Days Bay to enjoy the ride and view of the sunset. We had been told there was a small cafe where we could get something to eat while there. It looked like a take out pizza stand from the dock, so we were very surprised to see a lovely indoor dining room with a lovey fire and an extensive menu. The service was good and the food excellent. We enjoyed everything and recommend the ferry trip just to get a great dinner.

This is one of those places that is iconic in Wellington. I have been coming here on and off for many many years and it's wonderful to come back here with my children, now the next generation or two later. Both times the service was good, wait times for our meals less than ten minutes and the food was hot, fresh and delicious. We are visiting the area but if we lived here we'd be regulars a this great little café by the sea.

Lovely place for a family picnic with a beautiful kid friendly beach right across the road. Good ice creams at the Pavillion. They do offer a range of cafe style food options, drinks etc. There are also a few good Bush walks accessible for the site. Parking can be an issue on a nice day. There is a neat little duck feeding area behind the car park so take a loaf of bread to entertain the littlies.

We had our wedding at the Pavilion on Saturday - what a stunning venue with a park right outside ! We arrived by ferry from Wellington so this was right by the wharf. The food was fabulous - both the pizzas for the kids and the buffet for the adults. Also excellent service - attentive and professional. We chose the Pavilion after some casual dinners so surprised by a poor review. Totally recommend for a casual dinner or for a special event function.

Can't beat Days Bay on a nice sunny hot Wellington day. Close to the beach and nice open fields for kids and adults to run around in. The food/Cafe at the pavilion has a selection of goodies to buy however when busy it can take some time to get your order so be prepared. Public toilets also available however look to get in early for a park as they can go fast.

A visit to Days Bay Pavilion for pizza has become a must-do regular event for me. The location is superb, it's very child-friendly, the pizza is great, there's a good selection of wines and beers, and there's nothing like finishing off the meal with the traditional pavilion ice cream. A great place for you a Wellington visit or day trip.

Pavillion is now under new management. The owner Adam has given the place a spruce up and has brought with him a high energy and new menu. If you like to dine and wine while watching stunning sunsets then this is the spot. DBP faces the DB Wharf and horizon where Apollo loves to ride his blazing chariot against the dying sky, charring the clouds and throwing sooty silhouettes and dancing shadows as he races by! DBP (aka Williams Park Cafe) serves good, wood-fired pizzas which is one of their specialties and often to the tune of a band on Sundays, which is a pleasant way to end the day after a trip to the beach across the road (Days Bay) or a game of tennis, etc. within the Pavilion grounds. For families with young kids there is a pond at the back where they can be amused with feeding the ducks. Nearby is the Butterfly Creek bush-walk entrance. Take safety precautions before attempting any hike even if this looks straightforward especially if you are an overseas visitor because it is so easy to get lost in the bush. (There are no crowds to show the way and the track is not well-marked.) Note that the surrounding terrain is very steep with tall trees and dense scrub (air-search can't see through this) should you get lost and have to work your way down to the bays. If in doubt consult a bush ranger first. The pavilion also serve chips and other snack foods. If the queue is too long try the cafe next to the zebra-crossing although they are also busy in summer because their ice-cream is very popular especially on hot days.

On our road trip recently we revisited and this place always delivers..my sisters and l even paddled in the sea during a warm July day. The cafe in the pavilion holds a pizzaria and icecream parlour plus ample lawn areas for recreation. The wharf offers return trips on the ferry but make sure the seas not too choppy...recommend this place for you to enjoy a memmorable visit.

The Pavilion is a good place to eat -there's a good selection of food/coffee -they do Italian oven pizzas fresh onsite while you wait -the coffee is very good -the service is good. It has to be said that the prices are a little too high -but then that is generally characteristic of food in Wellington. I'd recommend it -with that proviso. The main attractions are the gardens around the pavilion, the duck pond (around the back) -the wharf -and of course the walkway around the bay. There are a lot of beautiful places to visit, bars/cafes and Van Helden's gallery -all of which make it a worthwhile stop if you're visiting Wellington for a couple of days.

When you came out of Eastby West ferry days Bay Pavilian welcomes you with open arms and offer a Gelato. I recommend you take that before continue your journey. - You can find tracking trails near Days Bay Pavilian. - A kids friendly place.
