S.The skin of the savoury crepe was a bit too hard for my liking. I can only say I've had better ones before.
S.Simple and delicious. Typical understated French simplicity, but delicious. We all enjoyed our breakfast /brunch and was just what we wanted. Between the 4 of us we had French toast, crepes and the big breakfast. Would go again, so I can have the French toast this time! Crepes and French toast had options of different fillings, coffees were perfect. Some cabinet good available too.
A.Our first time here, absolutely blown away with how delicious these crepes are!!! I chose the cheese, mushrooms, potatoe and chive (usually with bacon) and asked for blue cheese instead - amazing!
J.Bought two big breakfasts and coffees. Although food order took a while, it tasted good. They use Cafe La Farre coffee beans and made a good coffee. A bit of background music wouldn’t have gone astray. We later found out that there was more seating in shop extension next door.
S.Food was nice, though took ages for what was just 2 simple sandwiches. But what was really bad, none of the staff were wearing masks and the QR code for the tracking app was really high up on the window. Felt passive aggressive. Won't be back after the flagrant disregard for the masks.

R.I liked this place. The premises are in a very old wooden building, which is part of the unique charm of Petone. The staff are French that adds to the total immersion eating experience. The food is very flavorsome and very French. Good coffee.

The scrambled eggs were tasteless and the French toast was below average. Absolutely no love or passion went into making that food. Staff were ok. It only just makes 3 stars for me.

C.If you are looking for a quite place to meet a friend and chat over lunch then The French Larder is recommended. Unlike many of the other cafés in Petone, the background noise is kept to a minimum which means you dont have to shout at each other over a table.
Regarding their menu, whille a little limited, the dishes are delicious and their macaroons are great. The cafe has recently changed ownership but they have kept the original menu and the quality is still great. Top it off with some friendly staff, this place makes a great escape from a busy day.
