Came here tonight with my husband and friends and our expectations were blown out of the water! We all got different flavours, the brisket, fried chicken, vegan and mexican... everyone LOVED theirs and couldn't rate it highly enough. The portions were so generous and the flavour was next level! Shout out to the staff who were really lovely and even popped a few lollies in our takeaway bags :). We will definitely be back on a regular basis! Hands down the most tasty Mac and cheese I've ever had! And my vegan friend said it's definitely the best vegan Mac she's had! Thanks Wholy Mac 🧀

Hearty and filling. The service was some of the best I've ever experienced too! Couldn't resist some fried chicken with my mac and cheese.

If you like Mac and cheese this is the place to eat. So many delicious choices and so filling.

This place is fantastic. Such a brilliant simple concept that executes perfectly. Have tried a variety of flavors and sides will definitely return. Great value for money and fantastic friendly service.

Lovely staff & great service. The food is so good. Crisp sweet potato fries are to die for. Excellently cooked brisket. A burger with a Mac & cheese patty? Next level. Cannot recommend enough!

After having a lot of woap burgers lately The Mac Daddy was still up there with the best of them! The awesome mac n cheese patty w Brisket and gravy drippn. The sweet Potato Fries were freakn delicious too

OK...so I don't normally eat mac and cheese of any kind, its not my go-to, I never had it as a kid and I certainly don't go out of my way to have it now...BUT, I do like to try new food ventures when they arise. Wholy Mac falls into this category for me. At the recommendation of a fellow "fussy" eater, I went into try it out...WOW. I had the Wholy Cow (beef brisket) and it was great for $14.90. The portion size had me full at the halfway mark, so you could easily have some leftover for dinner too. Such friendly staff too, helpful at letting me know to order extra sauce to truly experience the flavour next time. It was packed when I first tried to order, which is a good sign, so I tried back 40mins later and was able to have my order in my hands 5 minutes later. Takeaway or dine in are the options here, but be in quick if you want to dine in, as it only holds 10 people max. Great for a quick snack for the kids too. I shall be back to try the whole menu. I had the mac-garita. Oh my God, this is amazing. Perfect pesto, semi-dried tomatoes (incredible for a semi tomato hater), and of course the best mac and cheese, Plus the service was great 10/10

Delicious! The regular portion is big enough for two! Also, the staff is amazing! We had ordered food for takeaway, and didn't even realize I had accidentally left my camelbak water bottle in the shop, till one of the staff came running down the street after us to return it! Definitely going to be on my rotation of takeaway places :)

Best vegan mac and cheese I've ever had and staff are so lovely!

Such a great little find, it was hard to make my choice, the Smoked Fish won. The portion size is generous, 3 out of 4 of us took leftovers away. Worth a visit, we shall again when in town

We ate here today and could not have been more thrilled. We had the vegan Mac burger and it was delightful. The service was amazing and the lady who served us went the extra mile to ensure our visit was exceptional which we totally loved. Wish I lived closer but I'm totally willing to travel for this epic Mac!!

Pretty good, decent pieces of well cooked meat, but the gravy and cheese are a bit bland. Plenty of sauces on the tables to add to it.

I strongly recommend the Mac Daddy burger :)) Never before had the brilliant idea to make a burger pattie using deep-fried mac cheese crossed my wildest imaginings... until tonight! What a combination... mac cheese pattie fried to a perfect crisp, served with a fresh bun, slow coocked brisket rounded off with a crunchy slaw. Five stars 💖

If I could give more than 5 stars I would - most INCREDIBLE Mac & Cheese I've ever had, tried the vegan dish as well as it was phenomenal. Lady that served us was lovely and personable, looked like she absolutely loved her job. Will definitely be coming back!

Staff were friendly. Portion was huge. Frankly a little disappointing.overcooked bacon pieces.salty bacon pieces were hard and gritty. Concept great. Another day it will be better I am sure. Not cooked with care when I visited.

The mac burger with the brisket, gravy and slaw was so yummy along side the sweet potato chips next level delish! I ordered the southern chicken mac and cheese aswell but i was so full i couldn't even try it my sons really enjoyed it though.

Good service and yummy food. The cheese sauce was yum but a little bland, probably a good base but they should offer extra cheesyness for people who want it. The southern fried chicken was tasty. The mex x one was just a spoonful of sauce on top of the container of mac - definitely not enough to mix through or flavour it.

Really loved this place. They throw a lovely spin on your age old Mac n Cheese. I tried the vegan and vegetarian options. Both were great. Lovely service. The inside could do with some more attention to make it prettier and a place you want to stay in but it's fine considering how new the company is. I'm really hoping they manage to stick around on Jackson.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So I went in today to try something from the menu I hadn't had before and to also give the new "Wholy Spring Roly" a go... Man was I surprised (well not surprised surprised, as it is Wholy Mac after all) how good they both were, especially the Spring Rolls. I had to go back and give the owner a thumbs up! 👍🏽😂 What was surprising about the Spring Roll, was how easy the outside was to chew through. I lot of the takeaway shop ones are quite hard to chew through, because they've either come from the freezer or the outer is too thick? Well these went down a treat. The filling was epic, good chunks of what I think was smoked bacon or ham, macaroni, cheese and all those great flavours we all know and love. I got 3 Spring Rolls thinking it'll be a good entrée before I smashed the Mac Daddy Burger...well I f**ked up, because I could only half finish the burger, partly due to the entrée and also due to the size of the Mac Daddy burger...if you love the Wholy Cow, you'll love the burger version, be warned thou it'll get messy if you try to drive and eat at the same time!🤦‍♂️😂 I said it before and I'll say it again...this place is great and the staff, especially the owner are awesome. Their Instagram account is hilarious too, they use real words to describe their food, their day, their lives behind the counter to service you! They'll greet you, your friends or your family with a smile and that's one thing that lacks in cafes and restaurants these days imo. Only bummer is, its not close enough to my house or workplace haha. You know I've had some friends & family say "ah I could make better macaroni and cheese at home", but they're the same people who reckon that during level 4 lockdown they could make KFC chicken at home that was just as good and yet I still saw them in the car infront of me in the drive thru at KFC as soon as level 3 hit! 😂😂 $3.90ea spring roll or $6.90 for 2 $14.90ea Mac Daddy Burger. Ps sorry no photos, this food made me forget all about my cellphone lol

Heard great things and had very high expectations. Sadly the cheese sauce was bland, too liquid, didn't taste much like cheese. Use better better&more cheese. Southern fried chicken ontop was nice but it doesn't work well together.

Fantastic new addition to Petone. Staff are amazingly friendly, food portions are big and really good value. I ordered the pasta of the day and was very impressed, southwest chicken was a yummy addition. Will be coming back for more, the burger looks great!

Real good. Great customer service. Friendly staff. I had the southern style chicken mac and cheese and it was great, it actually had some heat! Sooo good.. But don't get it if u don't like hot food.

I had the smoked fish option. This is the best Mac and Cheese I have ever had. Delicious and big, generous serving. I will be trying a different once each week then I will start at the beginning again!!!

Amazing the burger was absolutley delicious. Great for kids as well my daughter loved the plain mac. We also got the smoked fish which was yummy

i appreciate the presentation of the food at wholy mac, but this is my second time eating here and I'm quite disappointed. Just a wee bit too bland flavoured and overpriced for what it is. This will be my last time eating here :(((

Awesome mac and cheese and the 2 ladies working Saturday the 30/1/20 were absolutely lovely and are a credit to the business.

The pasta and toppings were great. Good value for money, overall pretty good. Expected a little bit more from the cheese sauce though.

Hot or cold, the Wholy Macaroni meal is delicious and tasty, a real kiwi classic. Very nostalgic. The service is on point coupled with tu meke kiwi music. Thanks team!

Oh my god the food here may literally be to die for! Unbelievably delicious & expertly cooked, I absolutely cannot recommend it highly enough & we will DEFINITELY be coming back for more!
