Very popular cafe in Mangonui, especially breakfast time. We had to reserve a table for lunch instead. Staff were very accommodating, as we had a large group. Food from the menu was tasty and you could also order from the cabinet inside. Coffee and other drinks available as well. Watch out for the seagulls

Most definitely my favorite place to eat 😋 😍 spicy noodle 🍜 bowl is most definitely 1 of my favorites and the cheesecakes are to die for... The staff is 💯% awesome 👌 Thanks Lk 😊 🫂 🍻🍜🍮

The food was amazing.. nice place. Very fresh salmon and well cooked.

After a disappointing breakfast at The Waterfront Cafe yesterday which is our normal go to we decided to come here and were not disappointed. Ordered an extra side with my scrambled eggs and bacon and our normal coffees and came in cheaper. Staff were attentive and friendly and the meal was delish with generous portions .

Always enjoy Little Kitchen. Relaxing yarn with friends outdoor under the shade sipping their great cafe. And as an added bonus you get to shoot the seagulls for free with their water guns!! 😄🤣😂

Great location with lovely staff. They weren’t kidding when the signs say that the seagulls will eat your food - you have to actively distract them from getting your food. In saying that, the staff have aptly placed water guns on outdoor tables which provide a formidable defense for patrons. The pie and carrot cake were particularly nice and overall it was an enjoyable lunch.

Nice little cafe just across from the waterfront. Good range of food and nice coffee. Good value. Would be nice to see prices on the items in the display cabinets though

Enjoy the lovely views with a wonderful cuppa! Coffee in this place is really good and nice choice of snacks to go if you are in a hurry or else have a nice relaxing lunch. They have some nice healthy options and staff are polite and friendly.

Great for healthy lunch. The Thai soup with prawns was delicious. Lots of choice for pies and cakes. great coffee. fast service. Portions and prices are smaller than places but leaves room for desert.

Beautiful spot in one of the historic buildings in the heart of Mangonui. Treat yourself with a good range of delicious meals or hot drinks. Expect some waiting time on a nice sunny day.

Absolutely amazing. The food is wonderful, I had the venison burger and it was to die for. I am both Gluten and dairy intolerant and it was no problem for them, they changed the burger bun to gluten free bread with no problem. The service is amazing and the staff are very welcoming.

Great venue with a great range of cabinet savory & sweet options. I had the sticky pork belly with cress salad and coconut rice and my partner had the vegetarian stack well presented and good range of flavours. After ordering 2 medium size takeaway coffees, we waited for 15 mins for them to be made, they were what we would call small, and were definitely not as hot as one would expect. We have had a lot better quality and value.

We had breakfast here. Savory mince on toast & scrambled eggs and salmon on croissant... Both delicious. Nice atmosphere staff very helpful. Prices about right we thought.

Delish food in the cabinet and on the menu! Iced coffee took a little longer than I would have liked to arrive though—it arrived after we received food from the kitchen. However totally appreciate the use of metal straws!!

Without fail the staff are consistently happy, welcoming and working hard to make your visit a great one. Excellent coffee and scrumptious food to cater to all needs, highly recommend (and never mind the gorgeous view!)

Nice location, staff and coffee. However, the custard square was horrendous.

The food here is fabulous. The spicy coconut wonton soup was amazing. The seagulls do get a bit carried away here when diners leave the table. We witnessed one heck of a mess, that four staff avoided until a fifth made a new line straight away to tidy it up. Whilst they share the outdoor area with a real estate agent, the huge real estate hoardings are a bit off putting. However for those with an interest in property, it could be seen as a bonus. Would definitely eat here again

I enjoyed a tasty kumera filo & beetroot salad with lime milkshake sitting outside under the umbrella on a sunny day while overlooking the harbour. Very picturesque, food and staff were great and reasonably priced, all for $17.00. I recommend Little Kitchen as a great place to meet for fresh food year round

Little Kitchen Cafe has delicious food and good outdoor seating. I had originally planned to use it as a place to work on some weekdays, and they do have good wifi, but unfortunately I didn’t feel super comfortable working there. Inside seating is limited and I didn’t see any power outlets outside, plus no one else was working either. I have read it can get quite crowded on weekends :)

Little kitchen has it all - interesting things to look at, lovely friendly service & amazing food. We had the mushroom dish & the fish & all the dishes were great. The coffee was also very good. We are 3 very critical eaters (& 1 not so much) & we left very happy we'd chosen little kitchen for our lunch.

Awesome spot to watch the world go by situated in the stunning Mangonui harbour. Very nice food & great milkshakes... Friendly welcoming staff. they even have water pistols to shoot birds, I enjoyed more than the kids....lol Returned for breakfast 3 out of 5 days i was visiting.

Food was amazing! And I absolutely love that the cafe cares about the environment as they encourage people to bring keep cups and don’t offer soy alternatives. The straws were also environmental friendly so this cafe is definitely heading in the right direction which is a so cool. Food could be with bigger proportions but everything else is perfect

I was served by a person who seemed to struggle, but we got there, then it turned out she was the chef. It was hilarious. The ladies were all very nice, the coffee was good, the unfeasibly large mug was perfect. We had a really good salad (the wife) and a glorious bacon and mushroom pasta which was the pasta of the day. An epic visit to a place that is the whole package, good food, lovely people, amazing views.

What a sweet spot, friendly staff gave attention to dog, dog friendly, great food the way u ask for, lots to choose frm the cabinet or on small menu, great coffee, history, big signs to b aware of seagulls , water guns available to “shoot” them what a laugh, but dog is a repellent;) lol. Will go back hete;)))

This has to be one of my favorite cafes in Northland, looks nothing from the outside, but the flavours and sizes of meals is excellent for the price, love it.

Id give little kitchen a 20 star rating if i could. Staff are awesome. All of them. They are actually there to help and are obviously happy to be there. The food is awesome. Everything is. I wish i could eat here every meal. Serious. The new dinner menu is insanely good. Coffee is bang on. Its not often my wife and i agree on coffee but we both love it here.

Really nice little spot. Quite crowded but still enough space to sit and relax. Great location overlooking the harbour. Staff were really friendly and the tea and cake were very nice. Nice clean toilets. Would go back again.

Most Saturdays I go to the Little Kitchen for my lunch. I receive a very warm welcome by their excellent front of staff. They had a good range of fresh food at reasonable prices. If you are looking for a nice cafe with a fantastic view of the inner part of the Doubtless Bay give the Little Kitchen a visit I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Couldn't fault Little Kitchen. Super service, fresh, tasty food. Happy to make alterations to keep the kids happy. I loved my "Jo" thick shake with a shot of espresso. Oh, and a pretty good view to boot!

Just got my order in, in the nick of time as there was a steady stream of people after us reflecting it's popularity. Good coffee. Excellent food selection including cooked to order, cabinet & fresh baking to choose from. In door, out door seating. Magazines to read. Service good. Pricing OK. Would go again.

Very much enjoyed our meals - warm chicken salad, prawn salad & bowl of curly fries could have had a bit more chicken therefore 4/5 stars. Coffee reasonable. Pricing good. Lovely service.

OMG their carrot cake is next level. What a lovely little gem on the waterfront of Mangonui. Definitely 5 stars ;)

Food is good. Lots of variety. Staff could be friendlier. They seemed nice to the locals but very cool to tourists.

Friendly service from our waiter, sunny spot, nice food, popular breakfast location for locals and visitors alike. Just should maybe look at requiring dogs to be quiet if stopping at the cafe - over excitable dog spoiled atmosphere for other dog owners and families who had to watch those in their care. Not peaceful for the rest of us.

Love the Little Kitchen! My favourite spot to go for a coffee & a yum salad of the day all while enjoying the beautiful views of Mangonui. Staff are always happy & helpful.

We didn't use the camp facilities but we want to go back and camp soon, we swam and enjoyed the sun and clear skies, nice little settlement.

We had been recommended Little Kitchen for our Breafast meal in Mangonui by a couple who were also visiting the area. We weren't disappointed. Absolutely awesume Cafe.

Nice food, great setting, good coffee... a little disappointed they don't do All Day Breakfast... brekky menu closed at 11.30am and we were hanging out for Egg's Benedict at around 1pm... otherwise highly recommend...

Probably one of the best places to eat in northland. The menu food is definitly the reason to go but the pies and slice are also amazing. Good friendly staff. Good wholesome food that has clearly had alot of time and effort put into it. You'll be driving along way to find a better cafe

An enchanted place to have a nice breakfast, and even a healthy one. You can have good vegeterian variants like avocado smash or black rice with fruits. Friendly Service , and seaview. Watch out for the seaskulls ;-)
