A.Very nice place. Scones and smoothies we're really nice. They had this amazing pork, cheese and gherkin toasted roll/sandwich that was amazing (went back a couple of days later to have it again)

C.Great little cafe, excellent cabinet food, prompt service. Well situated next to Martinborough Square, indoor and outdoor seating. Delicious quiches and slices.
K.Really great atmosphere here - busy but the staff were really efficient and we didn't wait long. Had an iced latte (which was divine) and a chicken pasta salad. We also ordered a pie and beef sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their food and we had a great seat by the window. I'll definitely keep this place in mind when I'm back in Martinborough.

A.I'm living in Martinborough for three weeks and I've been trying to find "my cozy place" and I discovered that here, 'In the Hood'. The decor is quirky, cozy, and the music good. The windows on two full sides are a delight. The flat white was done nearly to perfection (could've been slightly stronger for my tastes tho) and the cheese scone was a rockstar. prices are typical. I'll be back here many times before I leave. ♥️☕️🦕

A.All I ordered was a coffee which was good. There was a consistent queue of customers the whole time I was there. I managed to knock my cup over and spill most of it over the table and floor. The very friendly staff gave me a replacement coffee (I didn't ask for one) and the mess cleaned up immediately. All with good humour and a smile!

4.Fabulous staff and service. Always greeted with a friendly smile no matter which staff member it is! Love their beef and red wine pies! Coconut lattes are also 10/10!

We chose to drop in here because of a vague, and possibly fabricated memory that Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2 in the UK rated cheese scones at In The Neighborhood as the best in the world. That and the fact were hungry.
Not only did they not disappoint they actually filled us with smiles as we enjoyed the decor that has been put together with a great sense of humour. Mona Lisa with a Maori face tattoo, a table that is made of a door (complete with handles) and order numbers that come with an impaled dinosaur attached were our highlights.

S.Dropped by while visiting recently. Really liked the summer atmosphere there with the outside seating. The prices are good and about average. Got some bagels with generous fillings on the side. Cheese scones are amazing! The only let down that day was the flat white. Milk didn't mix and floated on top and shot was very diluted. Have no idea how that was bungled. But still a nice place overall.

B.Oh my goodness their cabinet food looked amazing! We were gutted we had just eaten, people around us were talking about how delicious everything was.
The coffee was not great though, very weak and bitter. FANTASTIC range of milk alternatives for someone who is dairy free though! Will be back again to try when they are not so hammered with the public holiday busyness!

J.Great coffee, great hosts. Lovely part of town, if you are ever in the Martinborough neighbourhood then I suggest you drop by and try one of their many tasty treats. Staff are friendly, place is always clean and tidy and they are open much later than other cafes in the area so it makes it very convenient.

A.A real great surprise in the middle of Martinborough! These guys roast their own coffee beans, make great coffee, have a cute little shop and an amazing bakery all packed in to the one location.
In my opinion it's the only place in town worth visiting for a coffee! Great job team.
A.What a gem! Food was excellent - salmon & brie quiche. Staff are warm and friendly. Relaxed atmosphere, good high chair available, table numbers are painted dinosaurs a.k.a convenient toy to distract child whilst sipping tea! The perfect break spot needed by all parents before taking kids to the playground across the road

T.A warm atmosphere with plenty of natural light. The service is prompt and the staff are friendly and cheerful. A great location looking out across the square. The food is top notch with plenty of healthy options. There's also a fine selection of cakes if you're looking for a delicious treat on occasion.
P.We just stopped off for a coffee and something sweet. The coffee was excellent and our piece of slice was fresh and yummy. We had a nice spot to sit and look out over the little town square. For what more could we ask?

C.We stopped in on the way from Napier to Wellington. We picked this place for the buzz that was coming out and the reasonable prices. We ordered a calzone, pie and a smoothie.
My chilli bean pie was crispy on top and moist in the middle. I loved the flaky, pastry on top. It was perfectly paired with their signature homemade table relish.
The smoothie was the hero though, wow! Refreshing, huge in size and delicous. Worth every penny.
We loved the baskets of toys for the kids. Our 2 year old had a ball. Thank you.
