A. L.First visit there today, as we were making our way home through Masterton and I seriously recommend the Iced Coffee and even the Milkshakes. Best Iced Coffee I have had in years.... mmmmmm

G. T.We pop in here every week for morning tea. My husband loves the cheese rolls and I enjoy the over-filled gluten free dagwood sandwich.
H. 1.First time here, recommended by neighbours. I can see why they recommended it, excellent selection of counter food and breakfast food. I just wanted a bacon buttie and I was pleased that I could get one which wasn't on the menu. I wasn't disappointed it was delicious, the flat white coffee was excellent, even complimented the barista.
Definitely will come back.

A. R. K. D.Been eating here since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Standards have always been high & never changed. I'd crawl over broken glass to eat one of those little savory pie things. If heaven made pies, that's what they'd taste like. Quality over quantity. Great Team who represents the business well. Thankyou Food for thought, still classy & putting other cafes to shame after all this time. 👍
L. N.Excellent old fashioned sandwiches - just delicious. Old style cafe, grab a tray and plates and fill up from the cabinet. Make sure you try the cinnamon scones. Yum!
B. P.Excellent selection and even more impressive service, they do a bottomless cup and its using good coffee not instant. I had a cinnamon date scone which was magnificent. 3 of us different choices and all very impressed. Great value great food and service.

O. G.Best "Old School Cafe" anywhere. Another '80s themed place but impeccably clean with just the most lovingly produced cabinet food. A cheese and onion sandwich that isn't full of mayonnaise! What a treat! Staff are friendly and when they get to know you, treat you like old friends.
C. S.Food for Thought is just the best. The owners are the role models of the staff, leading by example. I would never go anywhere else. There is very little staff turnover, which is great. When the cook brings out the breakfast, it is with the utmost care and courtesy. Everyone receives the same kind attention, the hospitality extends to everyone in the house. It is just whom they are, more than a matter of what they are trying to be, if that makes sense.
A. C.Great stop on our drive from Wellington to Napier. Lots of warm and cold sandwiches to grab and go for around 5.50NZD. At that price, you don’t feel bad about grabbing a dessert or cookie as well. Easy and quick! Large cafe with lots of seats.

Das Sandwich war nicht so lecker und der Kaffee schmeckte nicht, wie leider überall hier. Die Mitarbeiterinnen waren dafür sehr freundlich.
Schön wäre es, wenn die Vögel aus dem Laden fern gehalten werden. Sehr appetitlich ist das nicht.
