A very well run Cafe. Excellent staff Great menu. Visited twice whilst visiting Masterton . Highly recommended.

Great coffee, ooh really tasty toasties, cheesy and served with delicious chutney. I noticed many local cafes have cut this out since lockdown came back. Not cool.

Wonderful coffee. The vege stack was passable, but would go again solely for the coffee.

Busy busy Sunday morning. Had creamy mushroom n salmon breakfast. Surprisingly no eggs 18$ . large flat white 5.8$. This is expensive I will definitely say. Also the lady wouldn’t change the garlic mushrooms with salmon instead of bacon as I don’t eat bacon. Not sure why she was so adamant on that. Taste was ok 3/5. Value for money 3/5. Didn’t try their cabinet stuff; the sweets looked nice but maybe for another time. Just another typical kiwi place.

Service is fast, efficient and friendly. Highly recommended. Luuv the Smoked Chicken & Leek Pie, with side salad and beetroot relish😋😋

We had the smoked chicken and Leek pie which was excellent and tasty. The food is old style home cooking and suits the location and Cafe type. Friendly staff and fair prices and portions. Overall a great place to eat if your hungry!

Beautiful coffee, lovely food. Had the BLT, the tomato was raw which is how I like it. It had plenty of bacon, just the right amount of lettuce and a delicious chutney.

Really nice coffee, and jam packed which is always a good sign. Not the cheapest food in town but....and here's the big BUT....everything looks to be well worth the price....everything looks amazing!!!

Food was average, received incorrect coffee order twice and overpriced disproportionately food and coffee to the quality items received. Disappointing and we wouldn't return.

Got a great breakfast and good coffee. Friendly and efficient staff if inflexible menu options. They need to do more substitutions and consider people who have dietary issues as lot of the select had bread as part of meal. 3 if my party have cealiacs so it made for some careful considerations

Went on Sunday morning 4 of us, meals came out at very different times and I had ordered waffles and extra bacon at $6.50 and bacon was cold time management needs reassessing coffee was good.

Scone with jam and cream was amazing. Those who love good, strong coffee. This is the place to go. Neat, clean and cozy.

Lovely place, loads of young staff around. There were a few learner staff around, which we were made aware of when ordering. But in saying that, they maybe need to listen to orders in full before looking away. And not question you if you query something that doesn't come, when you have ordered it.

A rare but return visit did not disappoint. Smiles all around, hot tea, extra water without asking (a standard with tea often missed by modern day servery practices) oh and a great scone, maybe slightly too much baking power for mg personal liking but generous cheese......great. as I did this time, I'll automatically return. Place was full at 1130 on a Monday says it all

Well it started with fantastic service couldn't fault the lady's they were awsome and then a delicious hot chocolate made a cold Saturday morning all that much better and to top it off the food was superb all round a wonderful experience

Fast friendly service. Ordered bacon and eggs. Eggs cooked perfectly didn't have to wait forever. My latte was beautiful. Definately will come again next time I'm in Masterton.

Lovely friendly place with a variety of seating choices. Large cup of latte was called 'medium.' Quick service. There is a lovely bookcase of modern novels which are there to choose one to take away for free - awesome.

Thank you Jo and girls for the wonderful snacks for our mid-winter work drinks at Oldfields on Friday. The men just loved the savouries and paua fritters! And my husband and his manager popped in for Steak Sandwiches last week and they just raved on about what a fantastic meal it was. Well done!

The mac and cheese was delish! Filled me up for $10. Also have huge sausage rolls for $7.5

Village Grinder is a great place to go and have a coffee with friends or family.

Really top quality service. Great food and free Wifi. Toast was delivered a little bit late but the staff were really generous and refunded my purchase. Milkshakes also good.

Fabulous morning in the wairarapa, out here from welly to pickup a trade, chore done and we are ravenous! We enter "village grinder", ravenous wolves we are. Thankyou lovely girls at the desk and waiting our table, special thanks to the chef, my eggs bene to challenge any welly cafe! We leave happy full little lambs. Highly recommend tucker, service and relaxed decor of "village grinder".

Amazing iced coffees... Once they get the order right (in the hour we were their, they messed up 3 iced drinks orders, maybe just someone's first day).

Breakfast muesli was the best ever tasted with fruit made of fresh berries a banana with honey and yogurt all beautifully prepared and a large serving. Friendly staff in a nice sunny location. The place was clean and generally nice to be in. We noticed that it was frequent by groups of cyclists and families, busy but not noisy. I'll be back!
