Our flat white and double shot expresso were tasty and just what we needed for our caffeine fix. BUT, the bacon and cheese scone was out of this world delicious.

This place is amazing! The staff are all so friendly and smiley, the coffee is always superb. I tried one of their cheese and bacon scones today. Cristian grilled it for a bit and topped it off with garlic butter and relish, it doesn't get better!

We ordered a cinnamon scroll and onion and cheese sandwich (toasted). Also a cappuccino and flat white. When we asked for double shot they advised this was standard. Coffee was smooth and satisfying strong. Scroll was the best we've ever had. Sandwich was creamy like a traditional Southern cheese roll. Charming simple place with efficient staff and great fresh food! Recommended.

Such a great place to stop at on the way through Matamata. Food was great, we had the hash stack, cheese and bacon scone and ginger slice. Portions were big and food was so delicious. Nice big mugs for our hot chocolate and mocha. Has a really nice feel to it.

Lots of choice. Not just pies. The fried prawn salad was fantastic according to my husband who would only share one. My frittata was great, as was the hot chocolate. The service is friendly and the seats are really comfortable by the window. Be there early for lunch as they close at about 2pm. Last winter they had sold out of soup which was obviously really popular. Just head to the end of the main shopping street. It is on a corner near the library with lots of parking.

We stopped in for toilet break between Rotarua and Auckland. Ordered a gluten free brownie and an egg on rye sandwich. Toilets were clean and food served promptly. Both were tasty. Plenty of street side parking. Free water available to customers just behind the counter was welcome as it was a warmer day.

8/10 I wasn't expecting much from this one-of-many cafe's in Matamata nz but I have to say I was pleasantly suprised. Lovely decor, pleasant customer service and good brew. The coffee itself was prepared in a timely manner which made me think someone went and tampered the milk wrong to hurry an order through but again I was wrong. The cup itself I would give an 8/10 on its own. No music but thats not a mark down and on a side note their cups are fantastic. It's a silly thing I know but they're a cool design that are textured for grip so you're sure not to drop it and great for insulating the brew. I wish more cafe's put this much care into their prep. Price-wise they're standard with the usual selection of café culinary favorites. As I passed through Matamata the one thing I noticed is just how many cafe's are crammed into this small town which makes choosing one a risk because you know there'll be plenty that are horrid but I guess it's my lucky day. Would I go again? Yes I would. Good job.
