we arrived early (before noon). Not crowded. This developed into a good swell of customers by the time we left, inside and out. We had a lovely table tucked into one side of the restaurant area. Faster customers could use the stool by the window (and they did)

We stopped in for lunch over Art Deco weekend and found it very nice. I had the Pork Belly Bao Buns which were tasty and my daughter had a bowl of chips which I thought at $10 were a little pricey. Nice decore and friendly staff. Thanks very much!! 😀

Haven't been having a good time lately and needed to get out of my house. Decided to stop in to this place while waiting for the shops to open and I'm so glad I did. Gorgeous little eatery, BEAUTIFUL food and coffee. And was lovely just sitting in the outdoor area and enjoying a sunny morning. Can't wait to come back 🥰

My son had the eggs Benedict and it was absolutely delicious!! I also had a taste of the mango smoothie, best I've ever had....theres something different about it!! The lemon friand was delicate and delicious!! Thankyou

Just discovered a stunning little place for breakfast whilst visiting central Napier - Kolachi was a last minute choice, but well worth it. Salmon eggs benedict with hash browns was pretty tasty. Staff are friendly and genuinely interested in how things are going. Good coffee too... will be back...

Awesome vibe. Great awesome. Good food. Decent coffee. Usually full and vibrant cafe. Have been in there a few times but most recent was on a cold day for some delicious warm soup. There presentation adds a good touch. Highly recommended.

This new eatery on Napier's Main St.. Emerson, is definitely worth a visit. A lovely modern atmosphere inside, even a couple of lounge chairs to relax in with your coffee or be seated outside and people watch. A nice selection of cabinet food and blackboard menu. I found the coffee really good and prices OK. So give it a go now.

This is a nice place to eat. The food is tasty, nice outdoor seating with umbrellas, background music, eco takeaway coffee cups and they are happy to change the menu a little to meet your personal requirements. You can also have a wine added to your order.

We stopped in here at midday on Sunday of art deco weekend for a coffee. The place was pumping so we expected a bit of a wait for our drinks. They came out super fast not much of a wait at all. Great coffee and presented well. Big thumbs up to all the staff for doing so well on such a busy weekend.

I had the big breaky here. It was excellent. The eggs were well cooked. The mushrooms were delicious. A substantial breakfast for a great price. Staff were friendly and the coffee was good. What more could you want! I definitely recommend.

Arrived for an early breakfast and were very well taken care of. Delicious eggs bene with tasty homemade style hashbrowns. Hubby loved the salmon and I loved the bacon. Will definitely come back for more!!!!

We felt so welcomed in this cafe. The service was amazing and food so delish! The breakfast options on the board are so fresh and tasty! Had smashed avocado 2 days on the row! Lol something about their smashed avocado yum! Also, I would recommend the creammy mushroom! Would not hesitate to go back there for the food and service! 😃👌

The staff are so lovely, they even gave my dog a treat. The coffee is delicious (especially the mocha) my favourite in Napier. And every thing I’ve had here is absolutely tasty. Couldn’t recommend it more 😊

Food was delicious, I ordered the Brioche French toast, it was a decent portion size however a couple of pieces were a little bit under cooked. However service was extremely slow and the staff were short with us.

Ordered Kolachi a few times via deliver easy, food superb and doesn't disappoint. Wife loves their bao buns so much I ordered a few extra for mothers day and she was pleased. Definitely recommend

The food was very , very nice. The pies and friands exceptional. The wait service was efficient but seriously overworked. The transfer of orders from the person taking the orders to the people executing them was fraught with mistakes and delays , causing frustration and unnecessary stress with the staff. The order chits were just placed on a desk behind the till when there should be a proper string and clip system. The wind and passing staff could easily create havoc among the orders. Whoever owns this place needs to hire two more staff to help the great ones already there and also needs to overhaul the systems for ensuring orders are filled in an accurate and timely manner.

Kolachi has been one of our favourite cafes but today we gave it a 5/10. We struck a reeealy rickety table with the vaneer peeling off. When I swapped it for another I noticed most of their feet which stabilised them were missing. Usually you get one that wobbles but this was ridiculous. Time to upgrade the tables I think. The service was slow and our favourite chicken & plum sauce filo was tasty but drier than usual. They used breast meat. Luckily I'd ordered extra sauce on the side. I'd also ordered a lemon friand with yoghurt. The young woman on the till didn't tell me they don't do yoghurt. I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew because without it it was dry & stodgy & you couldn't taste the lemon. We enjoyed the lovely sunny spot & a good place to people watch. Good coffee too.

I've been to Kolachi quite a few times - brunch, lunch and coffees - and have always enjoyed my experiences there. It's a stylish place to relax and the staff seem very friendly. Their eggs benedict is fabulous, served on the biggest hash browns and with plenty of hollandaise - it's gluten-free too, yay. I also had a delicious gluten-free cabinet lunch a few months back, sorry I can't remember what it was, but all their cabinet food looks good. Kolachi has the feel of being in a bigger city, which I love :)

What a vibe !!! Kolachi was just the right setting for a beer and some pre dinner deliciousness after an afternoon on marina parade - great setting in the middle of town, really well connected to everything , music was a lovely addition while we sat and enjoyed the Art Deco scenery on the street side , staff were well presented, attentive and friendly !!! Made all the difference when having our young son with us ! Food was quick to arrive and even quicker off the plates - washed it all down with an ice cold beer in the beautiful Hawke’s bay sunshine 🍻. What a treat !!! We will be back soon.
