C.Bit tricky to find at first, but worth the visit.
I had the gluten free sweet muffin which was delicious, hubby had gluten free savoury scone which he said "grew on him" It was flavoursome for his tastes but he enjoyed it.
Coffee was great and outdoor seating in the shade was welcome from the heat
D.Positives - Really nice staff & ambiance. Good setting & accessible for all. Reasonable prices. Quite a few Reduced Cruelty/Vegan options, which "The more the merrier" is very apt to say here 👍
Areas of improvement - Outside chairs get regular bird poop on them, so more of a regular check/clean could be achieved.
All in all, a very positive experience 🤗
I've been twice now, & my wife & I will go again. Definitely 💚🌍🌱

There were numerous gluten free choices. I thoroughly enjoyed the gf sweet muffin and hubby definitely liked the gf savoury scone even though he doesn't need gluten free food. Lovely coffee- just right. Great outdoor seating out of the sun

B.I had a lovely creamy Oat milk latte at The Kitchen. Being there in the nick of closing time, I did not eat, but the few items left in the colorful cabinet display looked fresh, wholesome and delicious. Looking forward to going back for a treat.

My husband and I have been regulars at The Kitchen Cafe in Nelson since it opened. To finally have a wholefood cafe in our town was most welcome and appreciated. Focusing on different eating preferences using local fresh produce whether its paleo, keto, or vegan there is something to please everyone who has their good health in mind. The loyalty system is, in our opinion the best in the country! Friendly, efficient and happy staff add a personal touch and the organic coffee is the best in town and consistently made to just how we like it the most. Cliff & Esme Hook

They are happy to swap things around ie gluten free bread for sour dough, or coconut mylk for dairy milk as well for those on unrestricted diets

F.Lovely Cafe, nice use of indoor outdoor space, modern tidy design, surprising amount of seating available for the space. As for the food itself very healthy and nice selection, cabinet food is available also. Was freshly made that morning for us. Delightful place will most likely be visiting again soon
M.My wife and I visited The Kitchen on a Saturday morning, and found the atmosphere very pleasant. We ordered our dishes and coffee and it didn't take very long to be delivered.
My food was great as well as the coffee and juice. However my wife's dish (eggs on bread) was cold. We called one of the waitresses who said she was going to take care of it.
She came back with a brand new dish, very warm and nice as well as offered us a complementary coffee and hot cross bun.
We thought it was an excellent customer services, the waitresses were friendly and definitely we will come back if we visit Nelson again.
Mistakes happen everywhere, however the difference in Customer Services is how these mistakes are fixed.

I drive in from Richmond just to pick up their famous keto treats 😋 I was so excited to see the vegan keto brownie in the cabinet as I’m allergic to eggs so I’ve never in my life been able to try one before, oh my goodness it’s so good! Love your work and always great service too!

A.As far as I know this is the only dedicated keto cafe in Nelson. I've ordered the keto breakfast several times. Consisting of salmon, poached eggs and mushrooms, it doesn't disappoint. The coffee is good and treats are similarly noteworthy for their freshness and healthy ingredients. They also have an excellent loyalty programme. Highly recommended.
A.At last! A place where I can order anything off the menu!! Being wheat and dairy intolerant has made eating out at cafes difficult for me but now I can go to The Kitchen and not feel like I am missing out on anything. Its all delicious food and the cream on top (dairy free) is that the coffee is amazing too!!!! Highly recommend going here!!!!

J.We come here often! If you have food intolerances, like to eat clean or follow a paleo diet this place is heaven! I love their salted caramel smoothie and their paleo rolls are amazing. The coffee is also superb with lots of non dairy mylk options.
