D.This is one of my favorite Cafe's in New Plymouth. Location is great especially when you see the waves coming over the mole.

J.We visited this place for brunch on a busy Sunday morning, yet got our 4 meals and drinks very fast. The waitresses were smiley and helpful despite the high number of customers. Highly recommend this place for vegetarians/vegans or people with dietary requirements as there are plenty of tasty high protein options.
I got the 3 egg scramble with haloumi and tomato. It was very filling, but rather bland. I would suggest getting a sauce on the side with this meal.

S.Highly recommended place. We ordered breakfast and the service was quick and staff was very friendly upon ordering. When we took our seats and was admiring the view still we already had our drinks brought over and soon our food followed. It was a busy morning aswell and The place was packed with customers. O.Local sustainable ingredients cooked in a creative mindful manner. What's not to like about the slightly dusted squid aka kalamari by the sea? It was a light but nourishing lunch with a great view. A perfect place to showcase sustainable #kiwicuisine.

C.Varied menu and reasonable choice for dietary requirements. Very busy, and we had to figure out for ourselves to get a menu and find a table, then go to the counter and order. Being greeted and having this explained would have been appreciated.

C.Nice location. Not enough parking. Fast service but paying by credit card is a rip off and an illegal overcharge. Seems pretty popular. Got a reply from owners. Not sure what you are on about re council charges in town. What's the relevance? Who else charges 4% for a credit card fee? If you provide a credit option, you pay the bank, if you dont want to do that, remove the option.

B.We dined at Bach while on holidays and what a treat it was. The variety and selection of tasty options is obviously a hit as the restaurant was buzzing. The vegetarian and vegan options are impressive. The service is friendly and fast! I could have eaten here for all my meals and highly recommend as a must if you're in New Plymouth.
V.Never fails to provide a great meal. The food is delicious and despite the amount of customers, the wait time is always reasonable. Seating options include a more open room with a great view of the sea for cold days when you feel like looking out. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly. Would definitely recommend.

g.On a Friday....got there in plenty of time at 1:30, Sign said closing at 2pm. We were still offered the menu. A quite nice but over priced meal for what it was but hubby wanted a dessert so he went up after he had finished his main. The dessert was served to him in a takeaway box with disposable utensil. On returning to table go eat it, it was made abundantly clear that we were to leave as they were stacking chairs on tables and we were told sorry but they closed half an hour ago!! We are constantly told these businesses will not survive post covid. We spent $60 for this kind of service! We also would not go back here!

We were celebrating my in-laws 60th wedding anniversary.
My only complaint is that we took our own cake for the anniversary and was told over the phone that we would be charged a fee which we understood but when we went to pay the food bill we were charged an extra $25 dollars just for the privilege of using their facilities
I feel this is extortionate and recommend that you don’t take your own cake

P.Couldn't fault the food or the service, lovely meal, but we had "special " of the day, we weren't told the price. gurnard nice salad chips with 1 egg each and a cuppa worked out to $74 for two of us a bit of a shock lucky we don't go out too often
L.Great place, be yourself and enjoy atmosphere with whanau and friends, relaxing and service was friendly and happy, the staff knew about the about menu and specials, answered questions there and then, very helpful, the meals came without delay, great experience for me who hasn't been there before.
P.Great brunch with a view. Bacon and banana stack, and the muesli granola were excellent. Cabinet food selection looks fantastic but maybe next time!

The modern rustic style of the building has many great spots for a variety of sun levels and party sizes. Add to that the fantastic view out to the ocean is so calming and very often spectacular.

P.Whether eating inside or out this is a great place to eat or stop for an excellent coffee. We love it as we can eat outside with the dog (after or during a walk). Water bowls provided for fur friends. Food is excellent and excellent value for money. When really busy they send a staff member out with an ipad to take your order while waiting in queue.

T.The coffee was ok... Not the best in New Plymouth but acceptable. Was surprised at the low number of seafood dishes available considering it is right on the pier. Service at the counter was good but the waite staff seemed rushed even though the place wasn't that busy.

Interior is very rustic and quirky and the staff all wore funny aprons that must have belonged to someone's great grandmother. Coffee was very nice and we'll made, my slice was exceptional only topped by the view on an otherwise rainy summer day.
If you like to be surrounded by old artifacts and like seeing re-purposed things in a bach like surrounding then make time to visit here and relax for a while.
