3rd cafe I have been to in Ngatea and by far the best for me. Food was tasty and well presented. Cafe was very clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff are so nice and when the rest of town is closed you can get a meal. The altura coffee was drinkable but not great. Vaccine passes are not required which is possibly against the law and did not make me feel safe. However as most customers were getting takeaway meals I had the place to my self and the lamb, kumara and rosemary pie was perfectly nice if a little lacking in rosemary and kumara. The place was lovely and clean. There is a nice little outdoor area too and plenty of parking nearby when I went at tea time.

This is a brilliant place to stop and have a meal either eat in or takeaway. A surprising array of hot cold food some lovely cakes and great coffee. We had the special of pork and apple schnitzel with eggs, can come with salad instead of eggs, and a generous helping of chips, that wete by the way the best chips I have had for some time, crisp on the outer and fluffy inside. The service is welcoming and friendly, they actually seem pleased to see you! Would very much recommend that if you are visiting or just passing through that you check out this great cafe.

Nice small cafe located in the main road of Nagtea. Coffee could be better but I also ordered a carrot muffin with cream on the top and it's delicious. Friendly staff, fast service. Very good!

A small cafe and restaurant that provides breakfast lunch and cafe. Has enough seat inside restaurant and outside as well. There are so many varieties of dishes to choose from. Lovely view for outdoor seating and good place for small group.

We couldn't get a space at the blueberry farms cafe so we took a tiki tour to Ngatea and stumbled on this cafe, and I'm so glad we did. Our meal was fresh, delicious and large. And the price was very reasonable. Even when we broke a cup accidentally, we asked to pay for a replacement but the manager said because we had offered he was happy to let it go. If that isn't lovely service then I don't know what is. We'll definitely go back and highly recommended this cafe.

Stopped off at this little cafe about dinner-time. Parked right outside front door. Would describe the cafe as a Diner. Has a large menu selection for hungry travelers to dine in or take-away. Chose the pork roast - good size meal with baked potato, kumara, mixed peas & corn, heaps of sliced pork and pumpkin. Very nice dinner with a cup of tea. Good value, friendly staff and heaps of people coming in the door.

We were passing through on our way to Auckland after a full day the Karangahake gorge. We stopped here for dinner. All 3 of us got the lamb shanks and all three of us had well cooked lamb that was falling off the bone. It was a homey meal with peas and mash with gravy. Absolutely loved it! Will come again if I'm in the area.

I always call in on the way thru Ngatea. Always great food selection with coffee. It is what you may call a halfway house for travellers on the way both North and South.. public toilets across the road. You can sit and eat if you wish..

Absolutely the yummyest scallops and kumara chips in a while. Chrispy batter, well cooked seafood. Oftern I find at Fish&chip shops they over cook the kumara chips, but NOT here they were so scrummy. They even had orange and gold Kumara chips, way more tasty than the usual traditional Kumara Chip. Great service, got the food I ordered, well presented considering I was taking the food away. Staff were happy, polite and we'll presented even though they were busy when I went in. Will be making a point of dropping in again for lunch.
