t. g.Had late lunch with the family last Sunday and the place is spotless. Food was served quickly and was tasty. So much variety my son actually recommended it and said it's like a buffet. He wasn't wrong endless choice something for everyone. Clean and fresh smelling toilets. Friendly staff and yummy food. Well done Lagonda
R.You don't know the prices of food until you're at the counter paying for it, and therefore you may spend a little more than what you'd expect. Prices were generally more expensive than other cafes or shops. Inside the building feels older, with a more traditional theme. A bit of a let down was the counter staff, who seemed a little bored or unhappy. Nonetheless, the sausage rolls were very flaky, hot and really tasty. The in-house cooking is very well appreciated and the chef ladies seem very upbeat and passionate.

K. B.We were recently on holiday in the south and decided it was worth extending our trip to Oamaru. So very pleased we did as this was our stop for a real old traditional Kiwi Tearooms. Their thickshakes are to die for and served in real mikshake maker cups, none of this plastic/wax stuff. Food was beautiful, prices very reasonable, service impeccable. Will recommend this place as long as I'm alive.

E.Absolutely love this cute diner!!! It definitely has big potential interior design wise not gonna lie haha.. maybe one day?? These guys do the best iced coffee and chocolate 100% the best in Oamaru period. Such q selection of food and desserts! The waffles are a must have!

P. B.Stopped in for a coffee and a some light lunch the other day. Really enjoyed it here. Friendly staff and an old fashioned cafe atmosphere. They don't try to be too fancy, just deliver great service and nice good tasty food. The value for money was excellent too.
M. M.Called in just before closing time to be met with definite lukewarm hospitality from staff focussed on cleaning up and getting away. We could have forgiven this considering the lateness of our arrival. However, the cost for soggy sandwiches and cold drinks (The coffee machine was already off) has put us off ever going back. No prices on anything in the cabinets or we would have walked before we got the nasty surprise at the checkout. Better value can be found elsewhere in Oamaru.

R. L. B.Good quick refreshment stop. Always clean and peaceful... owners are always helpful, but several of the staff have grumpy issues. Some of the hot food can be a bit withered if left in the cabinet too long.

A.The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The food is nice and the coffee is actually nicer than I expected too. I find the prices reasonable and I always look forward to stopping here when I take the InterCity bus.

M. E.Usually order from the cabinet and never disappointed, but today ordered a BLT $12, very disappointed 2 pieces of bacon, thin slices of tomato and lettuce between semi toasted sliced grain bread, should've stuck to the cabinet!
B. W.A wonderful traditional style tearooms and my favourite corned beef sandwich has been reintroduced. Full marks for that as it is one of the very few places in New Zealand where a corned beef sandwich is available for purchase.
L.Friendly service, great food! Was like going back in time to my childhood when mum took me to tearooms. Lamingtons with cream, egg sandwiches and awesome thick shakes. Will definitely visit again next time we are down that way :)

J. C.Jolly good for big plate full of meat and vegetables, then again small snacks too, good plentiful seating, serves crowds off buses, quickly. Clean and comfy couch. check that you can plug in devices. Friendly staff. Has a good solid clientele. :-)
A. L.This is what you always want tearooms to be, but they never are. Well look no further. A real, golden slice of old Zealand at its best. It starts with the amazing decor - red booths and chairs, slide-along trays, but have no fear - the food, home-made goods, is delicious. My yo-yo was to die for, melt in the mouth, and my club sandwich was an absolute delight. The tea was also excellen. Also, the staff are super friendly and lovely. Hope it stays this way forever!

J.Been here who knows how many times on the bus. The foods good and they've got quite a range. Annoyingly they're one of those places that doesn't list the food prices. They have some budgies and toys to entertain kids too.
l. h.Had a great breakfast on the way home from Ed Sheeran. They were even able to cater for our daughter who has coeliacs. Amazing milkshakes and great coffee, friendly staff and nice and clean too. Looking forward to stopping in again.
