Nelson and self proclaimed coffee snobs was disappointed with surrounding coffee and this cafe blew EVERYONE OUT THE WATER ooooooosh the coffee and service was outstanding! Can’t wait to come back again already :) thanks for waking us up and satisfying our tastebuds :)

H.Great place to go on a cold day like today. I had a gorgous , large bowl of tomato, pesto and bacon soup with toasted cabatta bread , so yummy and a nice ambience at this cafe .
F.This cafe was a great find. Delicious coffee served exactly as ordered, plus a great range of gluten-free food options (not just the usual friand and a sad-looking frittata, but a whole shelf each for savoury and for sweet choices). Good vegan options too. Thoroughly recommend a break here if you get the chance.
B.Not enough cream in cappuccino, cake was powdery and didn't taste fresh. The sandwiches are all already prepared, so I just wondered if they were fresh. The Chai latte and pancakes were delicious. The staff is friendly. Expensive for the quality...
J.Tasty food, good coffee and friendly staff. Reasonable access for prams. We partook of the pancakes as well as the corn fritters. Coffee beans from Strictly Coffee out of Dunedin.
A.I just loved ypur real bacon. Lettuce and sauce in a toasty bun. Simply the best lunch followed by turmeric late. The other ladies had a taste and yes you had sold me the best lunch today. Well done staff.

We enjoyed hot chocolate that stayed hot for 10 minutes. Never had that before. Soft marshmallows also.
The food arrived quickly and looked as good as it tasted.
Eddgs Benedict with bacon was delicious.
Pancakes with bacon and bananas and loads of maple syrup is too.
Shame it's closed on a sunday would have enjoyed coming back again.
They have a loyalty card also.
Credit /debit cards and cash accepted here.

R.I think Shortblack does the best espresso/flat white in town (Whitestone Cheese Factory shop next best). Also, the food is fresh and excellent. Muffins are fantastic; breakfasts even better. Bravo!

M.Hmm. Food ok, but we had bad luck with the drinks. Our order got forgotten, left on top of the espresso machine. The barista then said she’d remake but clearly didn’t as they arrived shortly after luke warm and awful tasting. Shame. The kids liked the pancakes tho.

T.Really like getting our holiday drink treats here with the kids. However this time we got ice chocolate drinks and they were only "just" half full,😕 plus the mayhem drinks werent available for the kids.
