The business is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. But service was very slow considering there were very few people there when I visited. The French Fries were extremely disappointing and should actually be called potato sticks. They weren't hot and lacked any flavor. The amount of milk served for a cup of tea, again was extremely disappointing. You not wanting enough for several cups, but atleast enough for two.

We stopped by for a quick drink before heading up the mountain. I had the hot chocolate and I quite enjoyed it. It had a rich chocolatey flavour and the right amount of sweetness. We also got some jaffas with the drinks which was nice.

Had the most amazing Chocolate waffle with vanilla ice cream and strawberry chocolate & berry sauce! One of the best waffles I have ever had. Staff also really friendly and love tye decor and atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop if you are in town

Called in today 18.10.20 craving a burger and chips. Oh my golly we got the beef burger and it was delicious. So tasty and great big meat patty and lots of lettuce, tomatoe, cheese and onion jam relish. The chips too were really nice and all served by a very nice young man. Highly recommend. Thanks heaps.

Amazing breakfast, came out quick, hot tasty and the mushrooms where we'll above what I normally expect. I also enjoyed the Earl Grey, which was tea leafs not tea bag and served with the strainer. Recommend to anyone passing through Ohakune. Set me up nicely for a bike ride up the Old Coach Road.

The cafe is clean . Was empty when we visited and service was slow. Had a smoked chicken, Brie and cranberry panini that wasn’t heated the whole way through. They do have a good selection of cakes and sweets and the coffee was all served in double shots.

Visited this village on a winter getaway and dropped into Utopia. They had a delicious black bean burger with smoked onion relish which hot the spot. Very cosy too, which was welcome after the cold on the mountain.

Ohakune is a small town but it was busy this day and several establishments vie for lunch trade. Chose this place because it was busy and looked friendly. This was soon borne out by the staff. Good selection of food and great coffee. Though the place is small, there is an upstairs section that was bright catching the sun. There is one able-bodied and one disabled loo both clean and stocked.

This might be the best café in Ohakune. Great layout with extra seating upstairs (although our favourite spot is by the window). Good coffee and yummy meals - with large portions for the kids meals. Would definitely recommend this place for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a cuppa.

Miss this place! Spent a lot of time there last year when I was staying in Ohakune for the Winter Season. The staff is very friendly and always dedicated to give their best in every situation. Unfortunately, our coffees were lukewarm, not hot DESPITE requesting and emphasising we wanted it hot. To be fair, when we pointed it out, waitress graciously volunteered to make another cup. Also, I noticed that there were no gluten-free sweets/cakes on display.

Beautiful and well laid out spaces at this cafe!Good coffee,attentive staff, quirky main cafe lounge with bespoke furniture, funky local art and community notices and events/ foodboard to keep up with the world.Then a separate,quiet and more private upstairs balcony style room past another room!This room is a bigger art gallery style functions and dining area near the fire place on the first floor.Will go back for sure to this chilled out cafe!
