If you're a coffee lover, outstanding! Eggs bene was yum too. Lots of variation to the breakfast & lunch menu. Nice looking cabinet food options. Quick efficiency service clean and tidy. Well done Moxi whanau 🙂

Awesome set up here, would call it more an eatery rather than an a cafe as you can sit down and eat a full meal. The southern fried chicken burger I had tasted great. Crunchy and tender chicken. And the fries/chips are perfectly cooked and tasty. Coffee is also good.

Hi I arrived late right on closing time I didn't realize Moxi closed at 2.30pm. Anyways I was able to order a delicious coffee and yummy Brownie square with cream while I waited for my friend to arrive. The staff were friendly and patient and had a not a problem attitude, while working around us. I recommend The Moxi Cafe as a great place for food coffee and atmosphere

This Corn Fritter Stack was delicious 😋 highly recommended but be prepared for the wait if it's busy!

Great atmosphere great service,but coffee luke warm. As was the food . If your paying good prices you don't expect chips that are full of fat . And what look like the broken bits and pieces included. I also felt the chips had been left standing and reheated when ordered.Chunky chips would look nicer. Sorry guys.

So impressed with this cafe. They were so busy but their personal, friendly touch made it a great day. They found me a seat, my eggs benedict was served so quick, tasted great and the coffee was perfect 👌 So good I got a 2nd for the trip home.

If you wanna go out for great Eggs Benedict with salmon, enjoy an nice atmosphere, have a good coffee and you are close to Whakatane or around (I don’t mind to come from Opotiki) you have to come to Moxi cafe. Absolutely the best place for your brunch.

Our favorite cafe in Ohope! Quality food, drinks and service from the team at Moxi's. Their blueberry & cream cheese muffin is amazing, along with the green kale smoothie! Definitely worth the stop if you're passing through Ohope Beach.

After reviews we were looking forward to breakfast here. Got there 20 mins after they opened and they were out of french toast so had second choice of avo on toast with a side of bacon. Plenty of avo but was disappointed in the rasher of very overdone bacon. Service was okay given they were busy with large groups.

Nice food and good service. Reasonable prices. The table we had rocked around a bit which meant we had to try and prevent the table from knocking over... But apart from that it lunch was great.

Came here for morning tea. Half pint had the chocolate chip banana muffins and hot chocolate the muffin got the double thumbs up and was inhaled. Hubby got the scone and flat white both were “good”and the coffee was “strong”. I got the sausage roll and mocha. This was due to them not doing flavoured shots sadly. Both were good but my latte and shot would have been better. Four stars due to lack of flavoured shots and not enough air circulation in the place. But if you are in the area then I recommend coming here!

Yum yum yum. They know how to do a salmon and cream cheese bagel. Thanks for being so generous to show me the tourist areas too! Lovely and will definently be coming back

We had an awesome breakfast here. Delicious food. I had a green breakfast and my wife had something else (I can't remember what) and they were both very good and not over priced. Nice trendy cafe atmosphere (not too big). Yum 🌞

I like the atmosphere. Staff are friendly and provide great service. My husband and I have breakfast and lunched here, often. 3 stars for this alone. My last dining experience was very bad. The fried eggs were very overcooked, upside down, under the bread, under the grilled halloumi. They have carpet mites/bugs in the dining area. As soon as we sat down my open-sandled feet were attacked. It stopped when we left. The experience was all the more disappointing and difficult because of the great meals we have previously enjoyed.

The food was good but the staff didn't listen closely and messed up my order twice.

Hubby and I had coffee here on a quick trip to Whakatane after a HUGE rep from our son who was in Whakatane for work. He went to Moxi two days running for breakfast and for him the food and service were exceptional. Great atmosphere and interesting use of containers for the cafe, we found it great, freindly and good coffee too.

Cool place, fine coffee, a focal point of beautifull Ohope near Whakatani, north island, NZ. We strongly recomend.

We had a great experience! My green salad was imaginative and delicious: a 10/10. I'm looking forward to going back to try the vege stack... My son enjoyed the chicken burger and my hubby said the avo on toast was "ok". Coffees: hot and good.

We had a fabulous lunch at Moxi today. After a long hot walk from Whakatane via the Nga Tapuwai o Toi track we were thoroughly parched and well ready for food. Moxi's staff were friendly and the service was efficient. The food, Veggie Stack and Hangover breakfast, was delicious and was served very quickly after ordering. The helpful staff also ordered us a cab for our return journey. Highly recommend this eatery.

Bit pricey but good service

Great local spot in Ōhōpe. Right by the beach and built from a shipping container this is a cool place to hang out. The customer service is fantastic and they remember their repeat customers. Genuinely the best green smoothie I've ever had is from here. I've been recommending it to everyone! The other food on the menu is creative and refreshing.

My new favourite breakfast cafe! Sadly leaving Ohope today so won't get chance to come again! Food is super fresh and delicious...lots of options for vegetarians. Great service too. 😊😊😊😊

Nice vibe to the place, with lots of outdoor dining. Eclectic furniture makes for a trendy setting. Food and coffee was good, prices are pure Auckland. Service was friendly and quick, oddly some confusion with them asking to pay after we already had. Quickly sorted out without any drama.

By far my favorite cafe in Whakatane. The staff are lovely, the coffee is always spot on, the food is made with love and tastes delicious, and the relaxing bach type atmosphere is fantastic. They are child and family friendly, dog friendly, and a stones throw from the stunning Ohope beach, in case you want a coffee to go so you can enjoy it on the sand. Couldn't ask for better 😊☕🥗🍰🍽

Having arrived at Moxi Cafe after the rigours of the day, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who was very accommodating of our general indecision. Options were helpfully presented with none of the pressure or haste you might expect in some of NZs larger cities (definitely looking at you Auckland). The coffee was beautifully extracted and the triple shot was simply heavenly. A quizzical eyebrow was raised at the closing time - 3pm during the height of summer - so keep that in mind so you don't miss out. The outdoor area was faultless, the kitchen visible (giving one a sense of confidence in the food) and the atmosphere remained relaxed despite the flux of patrons and staff. Recommended with sincerity and thanks.

Thumbs up to Baristas that make a good wake ya up coffee. Shout out to the cooks for fabulously delicious brekky. Great atmosphere here.

This is our coffee stop on our way to Opotiki. Good coffee and friendly staff. Recommended for morning tea. Not sure if they do takeaway meals but the do coffee. Nice savory scones too!

This review has wrongly been posted against us & not the actual cafe across the road from us who serve Salmon Bagels. Moxi Cafe in Ohope does not serve any bagels let alone Salmon Bagels. All our cabinet food & menu is fresh daily! I am saddened that public can post harmful posts incorrectly!

Located in the middle of Ohope town is this bustling beach side cafe. Dine inside or out -casual wear is expected. The food is great yet a tad slow on delivery but good food takes time.I was disappointed in the coffee wait 30 mins which I find unacceptable.

Our party of 7 (without a booking on a busy Saturday) was accommodated smoothly and efficiently by the very friendly barista, Sam. The latte was excellent as was the food. The only downside was that our food appeared in dribs and drabs.
