Nice vibes during summer and chill place to hangout if you can grab a table under the umbrella. I had their chicken sandwich which was $7 and lemonade. I am always in the hunt of trying new lemonades and they seem to have a good variety too. My husband had the bacon bap, he was not truly satisfied because they didn't heat the bap and it felt like it was from yesterday and was very chewy. So make sure to ask if their cabinet food is fresh. From Ala Carte my friend ordered their omlette which was very nourishing and he ended up sharing some with us which means good size. We will be back but will make sure to order from their Ala Carte menu instead. Coffee was also nice 👌 Good day :)

Beautiful decked outdoor garden environment tucked away amongst ponga trees & hydrangeas. The cafe is set back off the road & remarkably quiet given that it's on SH1. Our food arrived very quickly, and was delicious. My chicken schnitzel burger meal was tweeked to make it Keto and they added an egg for good measure 😋. Best meal out that I've had in ages. I thoroughly recommend Riverstone Cafe to anyone.

Feels like Home. ❤️ Often visit for Office meetings for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. This is truly a local kiwi business. The nice and chilling atmosphere in the cafe with beautiful paintings hanging on the walls (you can buy the one you love), kites 🪁, Crafted Caps, T-shirts etc. Must visit place for quick bites if you are in the Sunny Otaki. One more thing, the Outdoor Party area as well. Chill and have your drink. 🍻 Thanks, Cafe Riverstone team.

Great place to stop for coffee, the barista is a very friendly fellow who was happy to make my partners drink the way she likes it, either tho they usually make it a different way. Will definitely come back!

Best Cheese & Ham toastie I have ever eaten in New Zealand. Amazing coffee and customer service (Alisia..i think) that rivals Air New Zealand. Be sure to visit this wonderful cafe and have a good chat and wonderful food here. Do IT, you wont be disappointed. Thanks guys 🙂

Had brunch here with the family yesterday. A really good cafe! Friendly service across the board. Great choice of cabinet and menu food. Lots of seating options inside and out (we'd heard it was small but not at all!). Finally the coffees were great. A good coffee makes or breaks a venue for me). Will certainly go again when up this way!

Our favourite cafe in Otaki, lovely outside area too enjoy the weather or plenty of indoor seating to get out of the weather. Coffee is always great, plenty of food items to choose from in the displays along with breakfasts and toasted sandwiches.

Food was expensive and it was a little annoying that the people who ordered after us got their meals before us when it was similar food ordered. And my order arrived maybe 15 minutes after everyone else's and they were almost done so that was annoying as well as we were in a hurry. So I didn't get to enjoy my pie.

Late in the day for NZ cafe's, not too sure they were entirely happy about that, however service was available. Wonderful slice, coffee was good, and hot. No surcharge so cost good. Although slight precipitation, we were able to sit outside with our little dog. Bonus for the day, they had magazines to look at. Its a 12 out of ten for me, and I think the staff member melted a bit , and was very nice after all. After cabin fever with the holidays, it was a welcomed respite for us. Thank you.

This is our must do when passing through Otaki. Great coffee and the carrot cake is devine. Have had lunch there many times over the last few years and always enjoyed the food. Staff are friendly and most obliging.

It is a hot day and it is lovely to sit outside under the umbrellas. There are few seatings outside on the court yard that is also surrounding by trees. Next door is the market and few outlet shops in the area. Today I ordered panini with bacon and chicken with canberry sauce and its delicious. My coffee was served with a bar of whittaker chocolate and it tastes great. The price was average just like most of the places I have been to. I lost my handbag due to the changes of table and the wonderful staff looked after it behind the counter till I came to ask if they found it. Great service and friendly staff. Thank you.

Amazing food, a little pricy but great value. The staff are friendly, and it's very cosy and has abundant shade. The food is amazing. Great soup and nachos, some of the best I have ever had! An amazing brownie, iced chocolate and hot chocolate also. I would definitely recommend and would come back again. Well worth it, great value.

Had the most delicious mocha with a piece of yummy chocolate melting over the mug, and also a creamy filling seafood chowder. Such a kids friendly place, toys to entertain them, and one of the ladies saw my kids fighting over their shared meal, brought out each a fork and tomato sauce without me asking to stop them fighting, thank you! For any travelling parents like me and hubby, this was an awesome place to refuel with the kiddies. Cafe open 7 days all year round with no surcharge, that's pretty unheard of, got to appreciate that for a local small business! 👍🏻

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch today with family however, one thing did leave a sour taste. I was at a booth table for 4 in the corner and when the girl brought out the food I asked for water to which she just pointed to the fridge somewhere saying "there's bottles of water and glasses over there" and proceeded to tidy plates off a table. One of your earlier reviews says water was brought out for their dog without them even asking. Seriously
