Delish food. Roast comfort food! Beef was terrific but lamb a little fatty. So busy that we had to wait for more roast veggies which was not a problem. Latte came out just as ordered. Has a ‘A’ listing for hygiene.

Lovely fresh food that is tasty. I'm often disappointed when buying a filled bun as it's either stale or built up at the front so it looks big is the display cabinet but it ends up being empty at the back. This wasn't the case at all here. The food is honest, fresh and delicious and I wasn't the only one complimenting the staff on the food. Everyone seems very pleased with their food.

Dropped into this cafe on a road trip up to Auckland, they have a very very extensive bakery range - possibly the largest I have seen. Fresh roast meat sandwiches, drinks galore along with fantastic bubbly service. Try this place when you drive through - absolutely fantastic.

Fantastic place to stop an unwind, good seating, great coffee ...the food is a selection of cafe style sandwiches ,filled rolls , cakes ,pies etc , hot chick & chips plus they do a all day breakfast. There is a roast meal selection as well as, all the food looks fresh an yummy... the hot chips are perfectly made ,you can even buy a large piece of pork crackling for only $2 , lovely friendly owners too .

Absolutely one of the best Roasts I've ever had the pleasure of Eating On the Run oil passing through not on the run with the lamb cooked to perfection I will be back I highly recommend stopping in for a meal at this roast shop the Bakehouse cafe and roast well done five stars from me and my partner A++++++

It's not the best of the best and it's not the worst either, so it's somewhere in the middle. The time of day can make the difference between a fresh bite vs a slightly aged bite. Where they do excel is in their availability, open long after all the others have closed and their selection is usually never depleted to the point of saying no thanks. I sampled a roast quite late one evening, I was just a little too late and it had started drying out, so not the best, but half an hour earlier and it would probably have been OK. Consistency is the key point in this bakery. One other thing, they're not a hot bread bakery, more of a cafe.

Consistently delicious food and good service. Great place to stop and eat at any hour of the day or evening when travelling through Paeroa. Superb variety of food suitable to all tastes. Fresh and clean decor and no waiting queues. I especially recommend the roast dinners.

Some of the food is dry, chips have the scarcest amount of salt on them. It's a good restaurant, only the cooks don't know how to use deep fryers.

Good selection to choose from but the bread is quite sweet in all the baked products, I suspect there is quite a bit of sugar in it. Hot chips were fresh and crispy, a nice change from some other places

Best service cafe in town. I absolutely loved my meal from here, not only was the food well priced for what you got, but it was also delicious. My favorite cafe I been to in a long time, the staff were also lovely and helpful. If you are traveling through the famous LnP land then I recommend stopping here for a bite or even just a cup of coffee, trust me you will not regret it
