S.Awesome food, clean premises. Food was served promptly to all 6 guests. Will happily return. We ate off the menu, the food in the cabinet looked great too - we will be back to try the cabinet food soon.
H.Booked for lunch which turned out to be a good idea. The Cooperage Cafe was almost full
First meal arrived but there was quite a few minutes before the second meal arrived. The fish was well cooked and the chips were crispy.
C.We have been regular customers but our latest visit was probably our last.All the prices have increased. $5.50 for a flat white that was notably inferior to previous visits was not good. To make matters worse $5.50 for atea bag and some hot water was the last straw.
V.Excellent range of pre-made and made-to-order items. Friendly staff and great eating areas. Try their feijoa and apple smoothie!
K.Ordered eggs benedict and a coffee. The coffee was good, eggs were cooked nicely but the hollandaise was bland. The staff were not very cheerful either. May have caught them on a bad day.
C.The Cooperage has friendly staff and an enjoyable atmosphere. They offer great food for very good value!
Three of us enjoyed a meal there today. Their 'Potato Dippers' are delish and they have flavoursome and filling Gluten Free mains.

C.Food is better than average (I wouldn't say great but on the whole good) and the staff are very nice. On the other hand the service from order to table is very, very slow.
Another reason for the 3 stars is the state of the high chairs. The one that we had, had food hidden away on the folds and as you can see from the picture the straps are in an awful state. And as anyone that has, or has had, kids will know there is a better than average chance that the first thing a child will do when being strapped into something is to try and eat the straps.
C.Always great coffee and a great variety of foods! All this plus great friendly service - it's hard to beat!
S.Went to The Cooperage for the first time today for lunch. Absolutely yummy!!! I had the Potato and Chorizo meal with caramelized onions, wilted spinach, cherry tomatoes, bacon and poached egg. Just spicy enough to warm me up on a cold day, filling and I like how they didn't smother it with hollandaise sauce and pesto. Perfect proportions. Husband had beef burger and he was happily satisfied too. Will defininately be back to try many if the other yummy things that were on the menu and what I saw in the cabinet!

T.Its been pre-lockdown since our first visit, and the Main St breakfast and quick attentive service is definitely worth returning for.

T.First time I had been here , very impressed, ambiance is lovely, plenty of places to sit (book first though). Waitesses were lovely, welcoming and friendly. Food was awesome, very tasty and reasonable prices too. Two of us went for lunch, we both had hot food, a dessert and a drink, all for under $40. We will be coming back for sure 😊

C.Busy cafe but no ambience or theme sandwiched between 2 retail stores.No artwork adorning the walls very plain interior.Brochures on fireplace don’t know why that is it cheapens the place.More floor staff required as tables not being cleared and queues at counter.
Scones and bakery items looked pale so decided to give them a miss.A good selection of cabinet food and reasonably priced .The meals were served in good portion considering the price.
Flight coffee from Wellington not my favourite but this time it didn’t taste too bad.
There is outdoor dining which is a plus as it is noisy inside.
Staff appeared flustered but friendly considering being run off their feet.
Nothing outstanding to warrant me making this my go to place.

C.Been here for brunch /lunch a few times. The food is pretty good and well presented. The coffee is variable though and can be lacking in flavour. There's a nice atmosphere and good to have the outdoor table option. Their vegetarian options are very limited.
M.The food, service and ambience in the Cooperage Cafe is excellent. Prices are very reasonable and portion sizes generous. And the salad on the side of meals is always delicious.

Very busy, always lots of cars parked outside. Can be a bit noisey due to polished concrete floor & no soft furnishing. No table service, order & pay at counter.
Attached to a lovely homeware shop, can enter via the shop or directly from street entrance.
d.Usually extremely lovely, I visited there on 16th December 2019, not sure what went wrong but food that two of us had was really terrible and not at all edible. When we told the staff they were very unhelpful, it was a disappointing visit.

K.Ordered an iced chai which they don't normally do, but they made it for me anyway and it was delicious! Then I had a problem with my meal and the staff handled it perfectly, with the chef even coming out to apologise and giving us a voucher. Delicious food, awesome staff, will definitely be back!

T.Great food, but they need to realise that thick china teapots absorb a lot of heat and they need to be pre heated with hot water, then tipped out and put tea and hot water in. Warm tea isn't nice.
I.Bright and modern cafe attached to furniture store well outside the CBD, very busy place, good selection of food and beverages. They have a separate room suitable for a conference or special event.
