T.Edit: Updated review from three to five stars after the response from management (see below). Thanks for being responsive, it's great to hear that staff are following protocol now.
Original review: Not Covid-19 safe unfortunately, and I can't go back while this is the case. This cafe was my regular spot to go to during radiation treatment earlier this year, and the food, coffee and service have always been great. That's why I was disappointed that during my visit on the first day of Palmerston North being in Orange level, none of the three staff were wearing masks, and no vaccination passes were being checked. While I was there the customers who came in wore masks to their tables and scanned in, which was great to see. I'm sad that the staff weren't taking the lead from their (many of them vulnerable and immunocompromised) customers and sticking to regulations in order to help protect everybody. Hopefully they have a change of protocol - they are usually a bloody great cafe!

C.Amazing service! We ordered through ubereats with The daily grind for the first time, quick service and even though we were missing a meal, we rang them sraight up and the lady on the phone was easy to talk to and the boss even delivered our extra meal himself! The meals were a good size and very filling. We will be back again for sure
