M.Best cafe by far in Porirua. Eaten here multiple times and always get THE BEST results. Staff super friendly and quick to serve/seat you - ensuring you get ur meals/drinks on time and leave before the ever growing queue that lines up. I'm sure out of towers love this joint to. Food - delicious! Breakfast menu is full with choices and flavors that my kids love. The food cabinet - an array of great selections. I honestly can't fault Peppermill for anything other than trying to get in some days due to always being full. You guys should be proud of the service, hospitality you deliver👏🏾😄 thank u so much! we are always satisfied and happy whenever we dine in here. Highly recommend.
J.I just searched for deli near me that day for work lunch and this cafe popped up. The vibe and food is very similar to the earlier cafe that I used to work Bordeaux Bakery at Thorndon Street.
I ordered the petite lemon tart, spinach and feta quiche with a fizz lemonade because it was such a sunny day that day.
My husband ordered scone with butter, salmon and potatoes and coffee.
The service was smooth, our food came on time and the staff were following all the covid protocols too.
Yup would love to go back again for some brunch.
Good place, very busy though.
M.Have lived in Porirua for years and today was the first time coming to this café. Really enjoyed the food. Truffled scrambled eggs and garlic mushrooms was so good! Customer service wasn’t too bad either. Definitely coming back again.
K.We waited 10 mins at the front door for the Manager to scan our passports as said on the sign by the door...in the end I had to ask if we could come in. That one staff member was so lovely but the rest didn't even talk other than to tell me how much my meal was then pointed at a blackboard that said there is a 20 min wait. It was busy but come on there is such a thing as customer service in the hospitality industry busy or not. We had come from Wellington for a work lunch otherwise we may have left. Food tho on a good note was lovely.

N.Good if you are spending a few hours catching up. Service is slow and not great, though when you do get the attention of the staff they are friendly. It is quicker if you go to the counter to order your food. 45 minute wait for food (was advised 30 minutes when we arrived), quicker through the week days. Food is good, though they forgot the topping for my waffles and ignored the special order for the second lot of waffles. Coffee is good here.

YUM! The food is always delicious, even the savory muffins are some of the best i have ever had. The coffee's are great and the tea is nice. Salads are super great, ice creams yum, definitely worth a visit, weekly or daily if you can.

K.Yummy waffles. A bit pricey but I thought it was worth it. At first I thought the waffles were a bit small but then I realised they were stacked on top of each other to create a nice presentation.
I.Although I'm not a fan of the price, you will find it difficult to find a full breakfast or vege breakfast similar to what they offer here at Peppermill. So many different elements on both meals that you won't find anywhere else! It may not look like you get a lot, but the meal as a whole is very filling so can definitely justify the price. Great flavors throughout and the staff were very friendly

S.Amazing food. I’ve been looking for great breakfast and coffee around the Wellington region. This is top 5, if not the best I’ve found. Try their “Three Little Pigs” breakfast special (only on selected days, it’s not on the normal menu), it’s amazing. I can’t rate it highly enough. It’s a shame it’s not a permanent item on the menu. You will need to call them up or check in on the day to see if they have it on the specials menu for the day.
H.been going here for brunch since i could remember, could be a wait sometimes but it’s very understandable considering how busy they are, food, staff and service is excellent. I love the eggs bene they do

K.Great food and good coffee. Service could be improved. They often take a while to ask for our order and food is not quick out of the kitchen. For some reason, the coffee takes even longer, often turning up after the food does. When it all arrives, it is good!
j.Lovely food, although my Bulgur leek and chicken salad from the cabinet only had 3 small bits of chicken in it. A saucer with the cup with the herb tea would have been nice. Lovely staff

A.I usually love Peppermill, we frequent this Cafe. However, today I went in around 2-2:30pm, (it wasn't busy) I was seated with a menu and water and then forgotten about for over 30minutes. I ended up walking out after that. Pretty let down today team.
M.9 of us tried our luck without a booking for coffee and brunch. The wait staff were lovely and accommodating, despite the big ask.
Coffee and food came quickly, with all of us enjoying the mix of cabinet and menu food.

S.I felt the menu was not very inspiring - all day breakfast / lunch! Variations on eggs, tomatoes, bacon and mushrooms - what else can I say.
I had two poached eggs with two sour dough bread slices. The bread was sliced very thin and my poached eggs were good. I felt it was over priced at $12.40
Wouldn't bother going back again - went about ten years ago and sadly this cafe hasn't changed much.

N.Come here a few times. Always a tasty meal, enjoy particularly the breakfast options. Nice to sit and relax, although can be a little loud with the music playing causing people to talk louder. Plenty of tables available, good coffee and nice counter food.
N.Ordered a chicken schnitzel burger. Arrived at table fast by a pleasant waitress. The presentation and portion size was adequate however felt the price of $23 was a little steep for what it was. The chicken burger and chips were very salty mind you which was disappointing, couldn’t eat all the chicken due to this. Nice sunny table and relaxing atmosphere to the places credit. Would be happy to return and try a different dish next time.

J.All was very good and enjoyable at this eatery... our grand daughter loved her milkshake. After making a real mess spilling most of it all over the table and floor, the waitress still treated her superbly and even offered a top up.
A.From the first minute we arrived to a very friendly welcome, to the last when we paid and left, this cafe more than reached my expectations. The food was delicious, a great choice, the service was good, and I cannot fault the staff. This is well worth a drive out from Wellington. I'll definitely be back. Thanks Peppermill!

T.Lovely service and lovely food. We were looked after well, even when I asked for my coconut mocha to be remade due to being way to hot and undrinkable. (I hate to complain so was very hard for me to ask for a new one, especially because I understand how hard it can be to make barista coffee with alternative milk) but they handled the request extremely well, and checked with me to make sure the new one was okay. I left a very happy customer! 🤩
T.went there for a Birthday Lunch on a Wednesday and the place was full- always a good sign of how popular this cafe is. Food and service great. Waitress took our orders including coffee without writing anything down, a great achievement.

N.What a great place!! The true hospitality people appear to be happily work there. Gorgeous lady taking our order using her happy voice and lovely smile , the place is clean and well manage, the food was as ordered (runny poached eggs and bacon), good music.... I am very impressed.
A.We visited the Peppermill a few weeks back when our fav spot Kaizen was closed for renovations. It was super busy, in fact the host advised us right at the start that it would be a 40 minute wait for hot food and a 15 minute wait for coffees.
The food was excellent. I ordered the scrambled eggs, hash brown, bacon and sour dough toast. My daughter and sister in law ordered the waffle with bacon and bananas. They were both very good, although one of the waffles seem to have much more bacon than the other which was a little blue.
What impressed us most was the service. There were clearly some issues in the kitchen, but they were quick to take our orders to get it into the kitchen, managed our expectations well on when the food would arrive, came back to our table a couple times during the wait to let us know our meals were on the way and topped up our teas with hot water.
We'd recommend them.

I.Yes well it was a absolutely scrumptious meal, then the service went rather slow.. as we ordered dessert after dinner which was a tiramisu from refrigerated cabinet, (they took it out as I ordered it and took it to the kitchen), so all they needed to do was add icecream, sauce and serve. But no we had to wait 45mins for it after asking 1st after 20m then again 15m later. It too was nice but spoilt by the delay if it all.
H.Had breakfast, coffee and juice here yesterday morning. Inviting interior with a fully stocked display cabinet, a hearty breakfast menu (big breakfast with poached eggs and added hollandaise was awesome!), delicious coffee for the cold morning (soy mocha with a wild mint shot) and my first feijoa juice in over a decade... delicious.
The young staff were all friendly and well presented, I didn’t feel out of place dining alone (travelling alone) as others were too.
Everything also came out together, which was nice to experience. As an ex-chef, it’s always nice to visit an establishment that has organised itself well.

J.Have had nice dinners here before; but lunch today wasn't as good, annoyingly. Whilst delays at busy time are unavoidable; we were told 30 wait on food; which turned into 45 before it finally arrived. Long delays on drinks too; which considering they were just cold from the fridge was a little weird. And I had a 'salad' - aka, a pile of baby spinach leaves. NOT a salad in my opinion; a salad should have a little more variety...

V.Peppermill has delicious, easy food, There is a lot of bread based dishes though. Atmosphere is casual, pleasant but still contemporary. House wine is good enough, not enough 'bubbles ' options. Service is great. Recommend as best place to dine in Porirua CBD

M.When we want a lovely brekkie, we travel from Lower Hutt to Porirua to have our Eggs Benedict at the Peppermill where not only is the food great but the customer service is excellent as well. One thing, wish they still served the hash browns with the eggs benedict.
