Had the caprese smashed avocado. Great portion size. Was seasoned really nicely with lemon, onion, salt and pepper. The balsamic glaze paired well with the cheese. Also ordered a hazelnut latte. Coffee was prepared really nicely and not scalding hot. Would recommend as a great place for brunch. Lots of seating up front and larger tables out back for groups. Service always friendly.

A good little place for brunch or lunch. Make sure you book, as seats do fill up fast on a Saturday/Sunday. They do nice waffles, and a nice big breakfast. Most meals are Insta-worthy too (for those foodies out there!). The menu is small, so in about 3 visits you start to get a little bored. But, that doesn't take away from the nice food, good service and atmosphere.

Stopped for coffee and something to eat. Wow. Cabinet food looked amazing, it was hard to choose. Settled on a corn fritter that had kumara on top. Although I did enjoy the corn fritter, it had too many peas in it for my liking which is just my preference. But it was very hot at the edges and cold in the middle. I would still recommend this place and plan on visiting again when I'm in the area.

Checked out Town Mouse for the first time during lockdown. We tried the double smashed burgers and potato skins which is basically a larger and more delicious version of a big mac combo. We will definitely be going back try out the rest of their menu. Their snickers slice is also next level.

We enjoyed our Mothers Day morning cuppa while meeting a wonderful couple who share their table. They left before us and when I went to pay our bill, I was told, it was paid by them. That's a first for me,

Would say it's gone pretty average, been there a few times and today's visit definitely dropped the ball. And the cabinet was empty and they were still putting food in it around 11.30 which as disappointing. Every time I've been in its been full which you would expect at that time of the day.

Everytime I come in I immediately feel welcome with the at home atmosphere. This place is relaxing and so friendly. The coffee is strong and beautifully made. This cafe is an absolute jem. The cabinet food is amazing - I had a salmon potato cake and some carrot cake and both were devine. The staff are ultra friendly and the service is second to none. I highly recommend this cafe.

We bought a Ferero Roche slice which had rancid nuts on top, and the top part of the slice tasted as though it had been sitting in a fridge for a week. The ginger slice had barely enough ginger in it to call it a ginger slice. However the chocolate brownie cheesecake slice was a hit. I went twice to this cafe and both times the coffees were made by baristas who use coffee making as a part time job with no real passion. Lots of space inside and friendly staff, but don't make this place a destination cafe - sorry to be so harsh but sometimes you just gotta be honest.

We have recently discovered this place despite it being here for a while now. First the food. Brilliant! The food we’ve ordered off the menu is restaurant quality at cafe prices. So far I’ve not had a bad experience food wise. Top notch chef and kitchen staff! We’ve not ordered from the cabinet though. There are plenty of gluten free and dairy free options and a couple of vegetarian options as well. Coffee is really well made. Service is swift. The wait staff are really good and mostly friendly. The reason I didn’t give five stars is because although the wait staff are generally good a couple of visits ago we had a very grumpy waitress. We tried engaging in conversation or basic pleasantries, but she looked like she sucked a lemon the whole time. The food was perfect as usual, the coffee amazing, but that visit we were let down by the grump serving us. I highly recommend townmouse though. Very well run business.

Fantastic what more can I say, the quality of food and beverages as well as service, from prompt helpful friendly service to fresh great produce. Was great to see a minimal menu but the items are all made to perfection after a large group of us ordered freshly made spritz, to iced coffees to hot cappuccino then onto the food which was amazing from crispy chicken burgers (with home made crumb to die for) cooked perfectly right through to hand made fluffy waffles with local fresh fruits. Will highly recommend this cafe to anyone I know that either lives local or are travelling through on holidays just like we are. Many thanks

We have been regulars at Town Mouse for some years, usually having breakfast there, mostly on a Saturday, when we visit Pukekohe. We have always had great coffees, which we are very particular about, and staff are usually friendly. There is a very good selection of lovely looking freshly made food, from both the menu and the cabinets. Most times we visit, it is very busy, but we don't mind the wait too much, as they sometimes have a few magazines we can browse, however, when we visited there for breakfast last weekend, it was sweltering hot inside the Cafe and their Air Conditioning wasn't turned on. It came on for about 30 seconds, then stopped. I told a waitress it wasn't on, as other customers nearby were also feeling the heat, with a few feeling hot under the collar and chasing up their orders and she too agreed it was very hot, and said she wished it was working. She mentioned it to the man in charge, who was making coffees, but it didn't come on. Our breakfasts were great, but when we go back next weekend, if the Air Cond isn't on, we will likely go somewhere else for breakfast, which would be disappointing, as Town Mouse is our first choice.

The food is good, but they’re really behind in terms of their use of single-use plastic. Ordered a ginger slice to takeaway and was disgusted when they gave it to me in an unnecessarily large plastic container (I was expecting a paper bag). I let the waiter know that they should think about more sustainable packaging and received a really arrogant response.

Changed hands a while ago and it went down hill for a while BUT today all four of us, out for lunch, had exceptional food. I was blown away by my eggs benedict with pokeno bacon. A really generous amount of bacon that I've never had at any other establishment. My one friend had the waffles with crispy chicken. It looked amazing and he loved it!

I loved the range of cabinet food you have.The look of the slices and cakes made my mouth water. I loved that you have kept alot the original items and what you have added since taking over. I ordered the burger and potatoe skins and my friend had the waffles with choc meringue etc. My food was amazing! Highly reccomend. She enjoyed hers aswell except the waffle was super doughy and the popcorn was stale, the sauce and meringue were delish and both plates looked amazing. I was however so sad when my coffee arrived and it was not allpress as most of your bios state that you still do and may need an update 😣 to make the matter worse mine came with burnt milk, weak as and more like a flat white than a mocha. Coffee is my treat and a basic necessity of life and $5 for a terrible coffee legit ruined my day. Allpress was one of the best things about town mouse as they trained their barrsitas which meant it produced a consitant and great coffee. Service was also below average. We were not greated till we got to the till and even then were told " I'l be with you in a minute " after ten minutes of sitting waiting to be approached. the staff looked at us so I know they knew we were there and yet no one took our orders or checked on us during our whole visit. It was not even busy as most tables had either just started eating or finishing up. Do you not offer table service anymore? Or was it just one of those days? Offering table water would be a nice option also. I would have let yourself or your team know about our experience in person had anyone asked instead they had blank stares and looked to be flat and flustered and even non approachable, not one goodbye have a good day or thanks. Won't stop me from coming back just some feedback ✌

I popped into town mouse on a lunch date with my sister and mum. It has a lovely atmosphere and set up making it feel not too crowded when busy. We were sitting outside but the quality of service we recieved wasn't that great. The food was good but sadly my coffee had too much air in the milk, making it bubbly instead of the desired micro bubbles and silky finish.

On an adventure, first trip to Pukekohe for many years, a wander around town and where should we have lunch tour, we decided on Town Mouse. Airy, plenty of space, we went for a large table by the street windows. The food. I've got to say, fantastic. Having looked at the limited wine list and checked out the menu, someone said, let's look at the food cabinet. What a revelation. Variety, inovation, the wide range of food catering for carnivors , vegetarians and maybe, even vegans but don't hold me to it. Broccoli soup with blue cheese, yum! A de constructed chicken burger excellent, if not a little spicy for a tour member. My eggs Benni spot on and the huge fennel, pork sausage roll tasty if not intimidating! A couple of beautifully balanced salads were shared by all. Bottom line, you gotta make the effort and visit this gem and oasis of tasty, interesting food in the big P. There is a good food mind behind this place, so go check it out, OK!

Friendly staff and yummy food but they have a few things that would be nice if they improved on like having jugs/bottles of water bought to you at the table instead of having to get up to keep getting refills also having prices on the cabinet food but the major let down that keeps happening when we go is that one person receives their meal and is nearly finished before drinks a received ( or they feel they should wait for us to receive ours and their meal then goes cold) :(
