Stopped in for a takeaway coffee on our way through town. Amazing service with a greeting at the door and a barista who knew exactly what each of us ordered and personally delivered it to us. Coffee itself is tasty and hot.

Driving through at lunch time we spotted the Cow Cafe. The food was very good, prices reasonable and the coffee was some of the best we’d had so far. Well worth stopping here.

The Cow Cafe was awesome, we were greeted by the young manager, ordered our food, which was beautifully displayed, and drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch, he came around to inquire about our meals. Under new ownership and there have certainly been some improvements. New owner has a background in hospitality and it shows. Extensive menu and good selection of cabinet offerings.Well worth the stop when traveling through Putaruru.

This place is amazing, its extremely packed but for good reason the food is great! Definitely a good spot to get some food in between or after a long road trip. All I can suggest is more staff but considering the size of the place they probably just need a much bigger place.

Was a very busy lunch time in Putaruru. With apologies for a 20 minutes wait our order was taken. The food was worth the wait we will make a return visit. Dispite the business the staff were caring and good humoured.

Best on the road feed you can get. Quick stop on the main road awesome hearty food, don’t worry about stoping in taupo and wasting hours away. This is the place to stop

The Cow Cafe is the real deal - fresh ingredients prepared with love! The Eggs Benedict is classic and delicious, French toast is rich with fresh whipped cream and caramelizar bananas, and sandwiches made with fresh bread. Thanks for the lovely lunches!

This is the third time I've been here and there food is so fresh & tastie every time i love the shepherds pie it's so big and only $6.50 a real bargain great coffee as well staff are all well dressed in red tops and black pants. You make your order and enjoy being waited on at your table.

We came from the Putaruru Arms Motel looking for breakfast. At the Cow Cafe we found a Fat Cow Breakfast, Fresian Pancakes and Eggs Benedict. Dad is fussy with how his food is cooked but gave the chef a thumbs up! Delicious food. Coffee on point 👌 Would stop here again.
