A bit of a rough gem that has the potential to be a little diamond. We had wedges, a muffin, a scone, a Long Black, and an Americano coffee. Couldn't fault the food or the hospitality of the staff, both were top notch, however the place was in dire need of a good clean and redecorating.

Place is for sale so stock is kept to a minimum. Place clean and tidy, not a lot of customer service. No friendly smile, just push us through and serve the next. People behind the counter looked out of their depth.

Dropped in on the way through, on the way to Nelson for refreshments just after the lunch time rush. The chips and hot dog were nice and what you would expect for deep fried food. The pies pastry looked looked like they had been in the warmer a bit too long. The shop was clean and the staff were hospitable. The toilets were clean. A wide selection of foods. My wife enjoyed the chocolate milkshake and we stopped on the way back through especially for another chocolate milkshake on the way back to Christchurch

Not to bad for a stop in for a quick trip meal, but unfortunately $6.30 for a steak n cheese pie bit steep for me, for that price i would want my socks to blown off, apart from that i would still stop in and grab a few items while traveling.
