We stayed at the Best Western just round the corner, so this place is great for that morning coffee. Really good coffee too, and I’m quite fussy! Huge place for children to roam. They can play on the playground or grass, whilst you savour that coffee. Feeding the deers too, such a bonus. Lovely converted barn, modern and a great space for events and groups. Perfect for a Mum’s hangout even.

We enjoyed a childs Birthday party. The food, service and facilities are wonderful. We fed the many deer and enjoyed the large grounds...perfect with shade trees...at Heritage Park.Parking was plentiful. The staff are lovely, cheerful and very helpful. I highly recommend this cafe for functions or just a cuppa with friends.

Just LOVE LOVE LOVE the menu, the food is PREPARED & PRESENTED with such STYLE & FLARE. We'll be very surprised if you were not a 💯% satisfied with everything, from the VIP welcome, to the service and clean premise and menu that's a cut above the rest and to the staff that are happy & friendly... We have eaten at some awesome places and given 5 star ratings but FARMSIDE BUFFET is a "FORCE TO BE RECKON WITH"

Lovely variety of delicious food. They had sushi, cooked mussels, variety of salads, chicken, different meat and yummy soup on offer, see pic for preview. Enjoyed my Sunday birthday lunch!

The staff are so lovely and happy, the cafe was so clean and nicely set out and the food is amazing! Hands down the Best Eggs Benny I have ever had! The big breakfast was demolished by my partner who loved it and my son hoovered down his cheeseburger and chips. I would drive the hour or so from my home just to eat here again 😊

Must place to visit Ambience There are many animals at there farm, like deer, ostrich, and cows. If you want to have a closer look, this is the best place They provide farm tours too The interiors inside is great. Lots of space you will not feel clustrophobic Food Their buffet is fantastic. They have both vegetarian and non vegetarian options The one with truck is a salad counter having 12 types of salad Followed by sushi , with chilli and wasabi sauce. The the wasabi is authentic This is followed by soup with lots of bread option, then we move to Italian, with spaghetti and pasta, followed by raw meat section where one can taste an assortment of meat This is followed by vegetarian and non vegetarian main course. And then finally deserts. From mouse to tart to jelly, each row is a heaven for sweet tooth. Food quality There food quality is fantastic. All their dishes are tasty. But deserts is their biggest plus point

Fantastic service from welcoming staff, who assist you to make your visit most enjoyable. Lovely facilities, delicious food at reasonable prices and the coffee is great as well. Caters for children with books, scooter, games and an outside area for them to run around. Lots of animals to see and feed.

Came here today without knowing anything about the Cafe and had a great lunch. The Cafe and its surroundings are beautiful with playgrounds and animals around it. The staff were friendly and fast and our meals (the big breakfast and chicken burger) were huge and tasted great. I even went to thank the chef.

I bought the voucher through Grabone and went there with the whole family. The venue was clean, modern, neat and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food (Korean BBQ buffet) was good quality and generous in portion. I definitely recommend the restaurant and will visit again next time we come to Rotorua.

Had breakfast today, well what can I say, amazing. I had the full breakfast and my wife the French toast. Quite possibly the best breakfast we have had out in living memory. The staff were all super friendly and we will definitely return. 10/10

Me, my daughter and grandchildren went there for a quick brunch, after visiting 3D. It’s a great place to dine in and / or relax. Our quesadilla and other bites were awesome and well presented. I have served in hospitality for more than 12 years and with my experience, I can very responsibly state that the staff was very attentive and had a sharp eye for their patron’s (possible) requirements. The word WELCOME was felt in practice from the very moment we entered the premise. Good work and keep it up.

Lovely lunch. Served quickly and efficiently. I was a little skeptical because the Xmas buffet had some exotic sounding dishes with expensive ingredients but our expectations were exceeded. Sashimi in two styles. Lots of condiments. Salads that were different and delicious like strawberry asparagus feta and mint. Yum. Everyone ate and left promptly but no pressure. Xmas lunch 11.30 sitting. Well done. Plenty of staff attentive and polite. Tables well spaced. Very happy with our choice. Merry Xmas.

Classic ham n cheese burger with Angus steak disappeared in my 11 year's belly in no time! He is a very picky eater. My Butter Chicken was in perfection! Everything for a very affordable price. Nice cosy buffet interior with impressively shiny old truck. We loved this place.

Went for Dinner tonight with family. Reasonably awesome place to visit. It took a while to serve our food but I understand we are a large group, acceptable. I ordered butter chicken but cannot appreciate it. I found it tasteless and couldn't finish it. However Lamb Shank were awesome. Anyways I will repeat this restaurant.

A great place to have a bite. Staff is very friendly, food is good and well presented. Although wait was there but we were kept informed and looked after all times. Portions are large and very generous. Certainly visit again on my next trip.

Family of 9 went there for dinner to celebrate a 3 year old birthday and couldnt of been more pleased. The staff were amazing , surprising our little boy with a cake n candle just for him. The food was yum yum yum and even big portions with a price to match. We all left full paying under $150 for 8 mains and drinks. We will be celebrating future events here :)

Great place for kids. Food was also very good except the avocado on toast which tasted really really bad (I guess you guys are using frozen avo. I suggest you don't do it.If you don't, please check your avos). Coffee was okish. The barista did a pretty good job with those beans. Service super firendly.

Had my first visit today and it is somewhere that I will go again. It was for a 70th birthday lunch and was an excellent choice. The place was very clean, light, airy and cool on a hot day. The food was tasty with enough variety so everyone got something that they liked. The staff were ALL very pleasant and helpful and the price was very reasonable. Looks like they can take large groups too and the setting is very pleasant with plenty of parking. Although not part of the restaurant there were deer and Ostrich in the farm paddocks next door which the kids found fascinating. Well done Farmside Buffet you are doing a great service and we will come again.

Amazing food and amazing service. My wife said it was the best eggs bene she has ever had and the big breakfast was delicious. There's a playground just outside so the kids can play while you wait for food.

It's a pleasure that I have been visiting some very awesome places now a days and Farmside is one the loveliest place. The restaurant is surrounded by a very quite Farm environment and covers a huge area. Excellent food and attentive staff is a bonus. They never let you run out of food on the table.

Went on New Year day. Great place, great service, great food, great ambiance, very friendly staff. Went without reservation, but the staff arranged us sitting. They were very busy and yet they had time to play with my grand-children. Children enjoyed the natural farm side culture. A DELIGHT...

Went there for lunch with the family on a rainy day. There were almost no one there but it was an absolute 5* experience. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We had lamb, a burger and a kids menu. Everything was delicious. Hamburger came with a drink, I had just water and they even offered complimentary drinks for the kids. Thus all the drinks came for free. Since we were going to 3D trick art gallery they offered 10% discount eventhough we didn't even have the tickets yet. Only afterwards did I realised that they didn't charge for my coffee either. Thus 2 adults + 2 kids had delicious lunch with drinks and one coffee and we just paid for 2 mains and one kids menu AND that with a discount. We were really happy. Before going had read some of the reviews that complained about service or the food. On our visit that definitely wasn't the case. Highly recommended. Give them a try! Where is 6* on this thing??

Can I say OMG!? WOW just writing this makes my mouth water. I was there about a week ago with my husband and breakfast was so good we had to go back! Not sure where you poached Cilla from but you keep her. She’s amazing and invested in her patrons. She bent over backwards and nothing was ever a problem.

Had lunch here with 2 other people on the Monday of Anniversary Weekend. Yum yum yum. Good selection of food. Good value for money. Great to have another buffet style place situated out near the tourist attractions on Fairy Springs Rd. Staff were attentive and polite throughout. Dishes were continually replaced promptly. The venue was stylish, clean, and airy, with a good farm vista. It was very busy when we were there, but this volume of people was handled well. Want to try the Farmside BBQ experience next, as there were alot of people at that outdoor venue too. Am hoping they expand to include a dinner buffet experience very, very soon. If I had 1 recommendation, it would be to erect a canopy of some kind over both the dessert and sushi bars to deter any flies on a hot summer's day. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back.

We had a family anniversary here. Very enjoyable dinner, immaculately clean and nice lounge area. Nice food selection and desserts. This is the best venue for our event ever. I score five stars out of five.

We came in today as a group of about 50 from an unveiling & the service was excellent, I had 2 children with me & they enjoyed the space outside as they were able to play with their ball. I also would like to thank the manager for his help in searching for a lost item, over and above. Great customer service. I would highly recommend to anyone wishing to visit this establishment.

Nice, clean and very spacious restaurant with huge sitting capacity. Amazing and friendly staff, good food. Although my children found some food items spicer, but were compensated with a treat of ice cream. Will certainly visit again once I am back to Rotorua.

Dined here for Saturday lunch. You are immediately surrounded by beautiful farm view and in, then your eyes will drawn to their amazing interior. The staff were very accommodating and prompt, even if the restaurant was very busy. Food are nice and fresh. Definitely worth a visit

Came here as we were hungry after our visit to the 3D gallery as well as Farm tour, we got a discounted price of $20 pp due to the combo we purchased. Our tour came from Australia, Taiwan and Auckland. For the price we paid I reckon it's super reasonable with a good variety of cuisines, salads, tea and coffee and dessert. There was a customer who like us came in relatively close to the closing time and there weren't enough sushi left, when she asked for more the staff seemed reluctant and unhappy to provide more, which came across unprofessional. The lounge area by the restaurant was really interesting though.

Was great! All that's missing is a seafood bar, and it will get 5 stars 4 sure, be nice to access the bbq buffet too one day. Nice staff, clean and tidy place, good variety of food.

I just want to thank Faside Buffet for taking such wonderful care of me and my friends during our visit the other day. The restaurant interior design was impressive and restaurant staff were very accommodating. We really liked verieties of food and the food at Farmside was delicious.

The desert selection was limited, the cakes were dry, they offered no cream, chocolate sauces. And were told they had a great selection of seafood, this was not the case!, food was was not great!!!
