What an awesome surprise! Delicious gourmet burgers and a large craft beer selection in the most unassuming of places. Highly recommend stopping in for a bite. We will definitely be returning!

A great location for travellers and tourists. Nice garden in the rear with tables, some under cover. Long drop toilets are a bit smelly but his on them for trying to be environmentally friendly.

excellent experience, well worth the drive out of central rotorua - lots of lovely extra drinks and organic food to purchase as well! excellent kombucha selection. There was a lovely male chef who came out and gave us our food, however the asian lady at the counter was quite rude and did not even know what was in the cabinet. We had to repeat our order a few times, and when she didn’t know, she sighed, went over to the cabinet and asked to us point. the cabinet was not even very big so i’m not sure how you would not learn what’s in it. however, everything else was amazing!! love an eco friendly, vegan friendly cafe whose conscious about the future of dining out:D

Good food and beer. Great setup out the back, nice outdoor area to eat and a play kitchen for the little ones. However was let down by finding broken glass in the grass where my one year old was playing and the staff were a bit rude if you didn't already know that there were two counters to order, one for food and one for drink. God forbid you try to order food at the drinks bar, the wife got told off, shame it would otherwise have been a nice place to stop.

Without a doubt the best strong tea! Normally you ask for strong tea and get some weak attempt. Not here! Made my day. Food was awesome too. Lovely setting.

My partner and I have been coming here for quite a few years, it’s our favourite spot to visit for breakfast on our days off. I always get the eggs bene and the food is always so fast and always delicious. Great service and such a nice relaxing place to visit.

We had a birthday lunch for 13 there yesterday and the staff were so lovely and very attentive making sure the table was kept as clear as possible. We brought our own cake along and they were more than happy to provide us with side plates and cutlery. Thank you for the lovely lunch and service

This is a very quaint place, with very nice Staff. We ate a "Reuben" toastie which was delicious. I would have awarded 5 stars but I didn't like the birds eating unfinished food on plates when guests left; clearing of plates could have been attended to in a more timely fashion. I hope they use hot water to do dishes.

Have driven past this place many times without realising that they have vegan options. Wife and I both had Nachos and kombucha on tap. We sat in the beer garden which has a lovey vibe to it at dusk. Vegan options on menu and cabinet was clearly marked. We got some dessert to take away since we were so stuffed at the time.

The coffee here is great, and the muffins are even better (especially the whites chocolate raspberry one). The food selection has lots of German inspiration. Beers are great and German as well. Tons of outdoor seating in the back. Staff was super nice. Overall, this place is great!

Worth the drive, as a vegan I found basically nothing to eat in rotorua! This place is unique with a wonderful selection of eco friendly products! I never thought kombucha on tap was a thing. We had the vegan kickstart breakfast which was wonderful, a fantastic combination of flavours but not overpowering which is perfect for breakfast. (The homemade baked beans are outstanding) The vegan pulled pork burger didn’t look impressive to start but upon digging in we found the jackfruit with kimchi was absolutely wonderful, really though the charcoal bun was something else, crunchy outside and but soft inside with a subtle taste of charcoal, yum! Our taste buds had a real treat today, thanks guys 😊

An unexpected find! I saw the sign for Beer Garden and turned around the car and stopped in. Very modest and unassuming place, under cover outdoors, playground for the kids. Their Nachos were probably the best Nachos I have had! It was just so pleasant that, if I wasn't driving back to Auckland, I could have stayed there all afternoon drinking wine and eating nachos!

Such an amazing cafe/bar/store! Literally everything you need under one roof. The food and coffee is always outstanding and plenty of vegan options. It has lots of outdoor and indoor seating so prepared for all seasons. The staff are super friendly too :)

Stopped in for brekky with my girlfriend and enjoyed some of the best vegan-friendly food I’ve ever had (and I’m from Melbourne, so that’s saying somethin’). We had a lovely chat to a group of locals who eat there every morning. Would definitely recommend to stop in the mornings for a coffee and fine chat, or on a Sunday night to see some awesome live music. 10/10 would go again!

Lovely location, great staff, awesome coffee.....TERRIBLE PIES!! . Change your supplier.. Hi again, no it was not a vegan pie, it was steak. I called back in today (15th Sept) to try another pie. once again, great people, awesome coffee... terrible steak pie. The pie is filled with black type jelly with the occasional piece of meat. The base of the pie was rock hard, probably due to the heat of your pie warmer..... jeeeez.... your pie warmer could melt gold!! You have an awesome location, great staff, a really nice ambience, but you are let down by the quality of your pies. You really need to consider another supplier. Cheers,

Arrived at 9am Saturday morning to find the place absolutely brimming with people. But, we got lucky and managed to get a table. Coffees came within 5 mins of ordering and were great. Breakfast came to table within 10 mins of ordering, and were fantastic. Staff were good about allergies. Service was really good, I felt welcome and there was generally a good vibe. It's not just food and drinks, theres heaps on the shelves to explore. Would totally go back anyday!

Probably the best cafe that I've been to in the Rotorua region. Awesome service. Everyone seems happy and they are nice to each other and customers. Menu is exciting with awesome vegan options. An exclectic range of vegan, vegetarian and alternative foods (along with more conventional fare) is available from both the store and cafe. The venue itself is a kind of rystic cottage with an outdoor garden and eating areas. It is a very interesting place to visit and a good place to for a bite to eat while checking out Okere falls. It is very popular, finding a park can be a bit tricky, but it is worth it.

I have to be honest, my history and nostalgia from this place goes way back to when the gas station was pumping and we would go across the lake to get gas for the boat and an ice cream. Gas is gone and now there is a great cafe, good beer, ice cream and a bunch of interesting food. A nice garden out the back to enjoy and even composting facilities ;) so green!

After riding the new trail from Paeangaroa to Okere falls Store it was a good pitstop for a coffee and eats before the return trip We met some fellow bikers who also stopped in for refreshments.The trail itself had a small percentage of true bush trail ,a third metal road and half tarsealed so very doable in both directions if you parked up at the entrance from Ridge Road Paeangaroa end

Okere Falls Store and Cafe, Rocket coffee, rich, roasty, strong perfect decaff. Crepes, blueberries, maple syrup...send me to heaven. Finishing with another decaff Latte and a huge lump of lemon cake...shared with Janet. But wait there is more they sell Burinator Doppel Bock German Beer, smooth, dark, rich, I am in Heaven. Staff are lovely, store is packed wth goodies. Can I recommend this place...yes,yes,yes, this is an incredible oasis.
