Had a lovely breakfast for a group of 8 here. They were very accommodating for our large group and straight away ensured that we were seated. Coffee came very quickly and tasted great. Food was slightly smaller portioned for the price but it’s expected at a tourist town. Service was friendly and welcoming.

This place was on!!! Absolutely loved our meal, the caesar salad is out of this world, thought I would try it with shrimps for the first time and no regrets here was divine! Ice chocolate was also delicious, thick, rich chocolatey and icy, hubby loved his eggs benny too we will definitely be back.

This cafe is located right near the busy downtown area of Rotorua and, to be honest was our second choice for breakfast. As our first choice was closed we landed here and we were so very pleased. Our experience was awesomely delicious. All four of us were so satisfied with our meals and the service was stellar. I would definitely be interested in going back if I'm ever in Rotorua again!! Yum.

Managed to get one photo of the Fluffy before the chocolate was attacked. Very cool way of doing it especially in the cute wee cup & saucer. Didn't manage to get a shot of the food as it smelt sooooo good we tucked in straight away. The special was the char grilled chicken which Mum loved, my sister & I got the Chicken Pappardelle which tasted as good as it smelt the kids shared an omelette which you could choose the fillings they gobbled that up. Wish we had known how good the bread was that accompanied the omelette as we would have ordered extra for us. Great service, fabulous coffee, couldn't have asked for a better treat out.

A lovely little cafe just around the corner from. Eat Street. The staff were so friendly. The breakfast was amazing. We had the best French Toast, actually the best we've tasted ever & we've tasted a lot! We liked it so much that we went back the next day, whilst staying in Rotorua for a couple of days.

Beautiful alpress coffee, we had a piccolo and a almond flat white. I am not dairy free by choice so when I get a great almond coffee I am happy! And the service is outstanding! The food is good too, we had eggs Benedict, croissant (proper ones!) And kiwi breakfast with harsh brown/egg/bacon/bread with a delicious fresh orange juice for $2.5! Absolutely loved it! Best cafe in Rotorua!

This is a quite small joint to breakfast or brunch. Staff is really friendly and have good coffee and food options. Cozy place located at a corner where the food court ends. Having breakfast here will really kick start your day for further travels. I tried pancake breakfast with bacon and banana.

Nice local cafe with delicious food. Friendly staff. Great options from the kitchen as well as takeaway options from cabinet. If you drive be sure to pay for parking (yellow meter out front), only takes a minute and $1 for an hour - better than a $40 parking ticket. Huevos Rancheros is excellent as is the freshly baked gluten free bread.

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch where our dog could be with us, sitting outside. Picnic cafe was such a find, no sooner were we sat down and they brought a bowl of water for Luigi. The food we ordered was fantastic too, Picnic full breakfast, pancakes with bacon, banana and maple syrup and a chicken pinini from the cabinet. Our coffee’s were particularly nice too. We’ll definitely be visiting again.

Staff helpful as we had our friend who was in an electric wheelchair and opened the doors for her to have a coffee inside. Saturday night at Ambrosia the staff made a mistake in our meal by giving half to our table and the other half to another table. Then when the meals arrived 3 people had finished and I then found a hair on my steak. The Matridie did redeem himself but would not go back again, so would rate them a 1 STAR

Very very rarely do I give any place a 5-star rating this is being my favourite place to visit every time I go to Rotorua for many years there meals high quality and you always get more than you pay for all one feels that way when leaving as my 80-year-old mother lives very nearby and visits quite regularly they know her by first name and always have a warm welcoming approach to everyone that arrives

Great service. Group of 9 of us arrived and they promptly shifted tables and provided wedges for the table feet so the table didn’t rock and sun umbrellas. A great first impression! Drinks were great and food was delicious. Thanks a lot :)

Greeted warmly as soon as we entered. Menu was enticing - all the standard breakfast options as well as more exotic (and very tasty!!) ones. Delicious food, great coffee, and impeccable service! Relaxed, warm atmosphere. (Our kids were treated very respectfully when ordering their food - not always a given in cafes). Walked away from lunch feeling better about the world in general.

Amazing! I came in Thursday for lunch, the two girls at the front were so welcoming and bubbly asked about how our day had been so far which you don’t really get most places you go. Coffee was really good and super quick to come as was the food. Cute cafe with a good vibe to it. Would definitely recommend.

Once the awkward service got sorted out at the very beginning, things went smoothly; we ordered and things came out quickly and accurately. Portions are smaller than one might expect in NZ, but that was actually a pretty welcome change. One of us had an omelette which was tidy and straight-forward. The other one had the pancakes, which resemble crepes more than proper pancakes. The taste was good, though, so who's counting? One plus was the incredible pure maple syrup that accompanied them. The fruit smoothy was refreshing, too.

Walked into this café as Google had it as one of its suggestions when I was looking for a place with WiFi. The staff were very welcoming the moment I walked in, greeted me with a smile, and handed me a menu. As soon as I sat down, water was placed on my table. They proceeded to tell me they'd take my order in a few minutes which they did. I asked for their suggestion when a person came to take my order, I got the "Picnic Breakfast" and a cappuccino. When the food came, holy hell was it massive. Safe to say I am truly well fed after that meal. Coffee was great too. The vibe of this place is also magnificent. It definitely has a reputation as being one of the best in the area as people constantly walk in and out, either to enjoy a cup of coffee or have food. The playlist playing in the background was also brilliant, playing a mix of old and new songs, as well as classic Spanish music. I definitely recommend visiting this place.
