Had an amazing lunch and would highly recommend Zippy. Love the ambiance and food. Such a great place, fantastic service and local which is such a bonus. Coffee was fabulous and the Mac & Cheese was to die for :).

Zippy is always my go to place in Rotorua. It has a nice atmosphere, is warm in the winter and the food is good. The coffee has gone down a bit in my last few visits. It used to be great, now it's too bitter, and the presentation is really lacking. However, I dare say most people are used to bad coffee and won't notice.

Love this place. Its cozy, people are friendly and the food was healthy. Loved how everything was presented including tje little flower in my salad. Great views while you have lunch and amazing menu when you're hungry or just want a light snack on the Opp.

Don't be fooled, the service is not as Zippy as perhaps suggested by their name. However, the Cafe is cosy, meals have always been generous and delicious and the coffee is pretty good too. Smoothies are nice as well, although a little pricey for what they are. Worthwhile if you have a little extra time on your hands.

The place is a bit hippish and seems to attract backpackers. They knew exactly what ingredients were used in the foods they offered when asked about dietary concerns. The food tasted very good and gave us a healthy boost for the day.

So pleased to find a Supreme coffee sign out the door! Coffee is great, food was worth the price and staff were lovely. Also cool 50s/60s theme coming through with the tables and chairs! Definitely will go back next time in Rotorua

Clean place, funky design, well priced food and large portions! OMG the apple cake was so delish that we have 2 peices lol. My 3 year old had a little tanty and the person serving us was super awesome and got her all cherry again. Totally recommend and my feedback is you could totally charge more for your yummy food and service. Def will be back when we visit!

Coeliac's will be impressed!! They don't charge Coeliac's xtra $$$. What a great little cafe. Good prices and a relaxing atmosphere. Food is beautiful and most of all they cater for Coeliac's and menu has many option, Staff will discuss any concern you may have with the chief's and even allow you to read the food labels. They have a great understanding around Coeliac dietary requirements. Just let staff know.. Would like Zippy's to cook gluten free frys in their own oil to stop cross contamination. Will definitely be back.

Great music and atmosphere. It seems hard to find a cozy coffee place in Rotorua, but this one met my requirements! The coffee is well made and strong. Reviewers say bitter, and I can agree it has an edge to it but it is still is a quality coffee.

Food was great. The service was friendly. The atmosphere was a cross between Moroccan and bohemian. Tables not so comfortable. But, again, the food was great. I had lamb and mint pitas. I would definitely go back.

Fantastic food and a great casual atmosphere. A favourite amongst the outdoors crew, you'll see plenty of muddy legs under the tables. Kid friendly too. Highly recommend the smoothie, burgers and bagels. Wedges weren't memorable though

This cafe is a part of Rotorua, having been around forever and standing across from McLeods booksellers you can grab a book and then head over to Zippys for a delicious coffee and cake or a feast of nachos, bagels or pasta while you disappear into a story.
