We've driven passed this pub for years, but having stopped last week, we'll certainly stop again. Wonderful, welcoming atmosphere to a range of areas both inside and out. Stayed fir for an evening meal and were delighted with our food. Basic, tasty pub meals at a great price, making for excellent value for money. And take a moment to explore the historic displays throughout the pub.

Excellent food - we had the lamb shanks and fish and chips. The lamb was tender and falling off the bone, and the batter was perfectly crispy and the fish so moist. Delicious accompaniments. The barman was great and it was a friendly welcoming place.

Brilliant place friendly locals if in motor home can stay in small paddock next to tavern and if you dine at tavern your stay is free. Meals were excellent best we have had in some time would return to this place no hesitation Really nice rural pub

Arrived as they were closing, chef had already left, but they still offered to cook some fish and chips to take away so that I didn't go hungry. Great service. Friendly team.

Thankyou Lucy and Mark for the amazingly unexpected service in delivering our delicious takeaway meals to us at our nearby camp ground! True country hospitality and all during a Friday night "rush hour!".

A great wee country pub, friendly publican, meals are outstanding! The best fish and chips ever, the whitebait patties were divine and the beef burgers were fabulous, we ate at the pub for the 3 nights we stayed at the holiday park, the highlight of our stay in Millers Flat.

This place and town is the best! A fabulous tavern with lots of history and wonderful hosts. You won’t get better fish n chips anywhere - beautiful fresh battered blue cod and perfect chips - I sure will miss the meals when I leave.

Great patrons, friendly pub with great atmosphere and history on the walls. Fresh scones for afternoon tea were still warm and the lamb shanks for dinner were yummmm

There are a few reasons to stay at Millers Flat Tavern (inland Otago) : - grassy area for certified Self Contained Vehicles - friendly publicans and locals - wonderful atmosphere - the drinks are cold 😝😁 - conveniently located to the Clutha Gold Cycle Trail - the food is amazing

Arrived just after closing time - so thanks heaps to the owners who reopened and served up the most delicious seafood chowder accompanied by a good beer and conversation. It made my day.

We went here for our evening meal after a day on the Clutha Gold Trail with our bikes. It was a perfect ending to a most enjoyable day. The drinks came promptly and as we slaked our thirst we made our choice from the variety of meals on offer. The Lamb Shank and the Beef Salad were both delicious, and the coffee afterwards just hit the spot. My wife's Latte may not have had the artistic topping which has become fashionable, and which often tops a second grade coffee, but it tasted excellent.

Fantastic food, best place that I've been to in a long time. Friendly owners too.

Wow. What a great little country pub. We where meet by some great friendly people and couldn't be more helpful. The menu was great and the food, tremendous. While we waited for our food we enjoyed a couple of drinks outside. Our food arrived and boom. Great flavours wonderful presentation and fatastic enviroment. If you ever find yourself passing Millers Flat in Central Otago. Don't forget to pop in say g'day and even just enjoy a cold drink and soak up the country feel and quietness.

This local pub served me well on a wet Sunday around 4 returning by motorbike from Invercargill. It's fire warm, it's host hospitable to a non drinker, (the tea was great) and fed good tucker to journey on. That mid afternoon hospitality did me all night. Stop. You just gotta do it!

A proper, NZ country pub. Amazingly cooked food and a few good beers on tap. If you get the time of year right, there's a huge wood burner roaring away, too.

Nice friendly owners. Good food, good portion size, Eating area separated from the Bar, relaxed atmosphere, children allowed, outside seating too.

A good country pub with great food

Had our Christmas Eve dinner here. Good staff who clearly work very hard. Had the classic burger and beer. Was pretty good for sitting with the sketchbook and watercolors.

Lovely place to stop by for a meal. Had the burger, beef wraps and, lamb shank. All really tasty homely food that isnt greasy. The wrap had an interesting curry twist to it that was really nice, burger was a solid feelgood meal and the lamb was tasty.
