R.Nice Cafe in this area - has nice breakfast, cakes (berry custard tart is yum yum) and hot chocolate. Very pleasant staff.
Just be wary of the Chicken waffles (which i thought would be savoury, it was sweet waffles with a chicken patty in between).

d.Not easy to find, we happened across this cute establishment part way between Ruakaka and One Tree Point. It was worth the departure off the road. Lovely cup of tea, we didn't have the usual coffee, and the muffins were soft but not crumbly.
Great helpful service on a cold blustery day helped lifted our spirits.
C.Went to Two Birds Cafe Ruakaka, Today for Lunch, with Family. Beautiful Food. Really Great Flavours. Had the Vegetarian Big Breakfast, AMAZING. Also nice Hot Chocolate with ( Melted Then ) Frozen Chocolate on My Spoon, a Really Nice Touch. This Cafe is Up there with the Best Restaurants that we have Visited. Also Nice, Polite and Friendly Staff.
G.We (GRIT Engineering) highly recommend Wendy and her team! Two Birds have done catering for our end-of-year Christmas function, as well as team lunches at the office.
Christmas catering included salads and dessert platters, there was so much food and it was all well received. The desserts were as lovely to look at, as they were to eat! Lunches have included sliders, pizzas, wraps, sweets platter. Great way to share lunch and the food selection is very popular. Wendy is awesome to deal with, food is always delicious, allergies are never a problem, and catering is always delivered on time.
B.You have to try the mushroom stack and lemon cake amazing food. Great service will come again

Was a quick lunch on the road heading up north, the amazing waitress been checking on us during our lunch to ensure that we got all what we need and if everything were going right. E.As soon as you walk into Two Birds the staff are greeting you with friendly comments. The food cabinet is always full of fresh delicious food that changes regularly. There is also a menu plus the Blackboard specials...so much to choose from. The coffee is good and there is a good range of fruit juices, beers, wines. Katie’s loud laugh rings out from the kitchen often! The locals often call in for a coffee or tea and soon there is a table of people catching up.
You will not be disappointed with the staff, food and drinks!

It is a deservedly popular local place in a small shopping centre. You will find a warm friendly atmosphere and a range of food choices. On a wet day when the highway was looking dismal it was a welcome stop.
H.Nice food, lovely staff that knew a lot about the local area. Stopped in from some lunch. Food was a little expensive but not too bad, still reasonable. Would go back again.
