S.Had a quick bite here on the way to Timaru. Wide range of cabinet food. Just like an old school cafeteria. Clean and tidy. Best Value for money. Lovely staff.

Great value and they really have everything. There cheese burger being priced only $4.50 was a deal with the combo for $7.50 very much worth it. This will definitly be the place for me to stop at when going through Taihape!
J.A ggod size bakehouse cafe on the mainstreet of our famous Taihape - with sidewalk dining option. Probably least expensive cafe break I have experienced in recent times. Large selection of eats. Very friendly owner operator.

Prices are value for money!
Nothing fancy but bacon and eggs for $13 with two slices of toast and chips! Feed two for $30 (2x cooked breakfasts - Bacon & eggs and the sausage meal which includes a can drink + 1L just juice to share 😁).
If you're on a budget and need a feed in Taihape, thoroughly recommend.
D.The pies from here are amazing. A great spot to stop for lunch if you're passing through.
S.Taihape has been known as a food stop for as long as it's been a town. The Crystal lives up to the town's reputation of great food for the traveller. Best sausage in region. Interior is classic NZ circa 1974. Awesome place
