I.Great location for a treat on the way out of Taupo. A variety of everything, coffee is very nice and fast for takeaway when it is busy. Croissants are delicious but we didn't like the almond one, it was so sweet we didn't finish it. Other food from the cabinet that we tried is nice. Will be back again when we are around.

V.Amazing service and food. My husband and I were on our very first roady from Auckland to Hastings with our 1.5 year old and our 2 week old. We stopped by this cafe for some late lunch and they were about to close, but they welcomed us in, let us sit down and eat in, re-opened their bathrooms to let us change baby’s nappy, and even gave us free goodies for the road.
You gave us such a great break on our first roady with two kids. We can’t thank you enough!

L.Friendly welcome. Outstanding cheesecake, but disappointed that the cream was curdled rather than freshly whipped. Drinks took a little too long to appear. Great location and a good place to stop after driving over the Taupo hills.
R.Don’t have a photo but the mince and cheese pie I just inhaled was amazing! Beautiful mince (no gelatinous jelly like cheap pies) and heaps of cheese. Nice flaky pastry. 👌

J.This place is so good we drive 1.5 hours to have breakfast. 5 starts on taste every time we have been here. 5 stars for service. The other indicator that this is a place worth coming to is that it is always busy. Try the bean cassoulet - mmmmmm

E.We used to love Industrie and it was always a point of call en route north. Recently, we've been disappointed with the menu food; it lacks the quality and flavour of before. The meals, aside from the burgers, also seem smaller but for the same price. Hopefully this is a blip and they're soon back to producing quality meals. The cabinet food is still fabulous.

M.Wow. Who would have expected a little slice of Paris to be nestled in between a petrol station and a hardware store?
The service was amazing - the queue went out the door, but they got through it quickly.
The food was divine. Plenty of options, all looked excellent and the options we tried were as good as, possibly even better than, they appeared.

Excited about Portuguese Tarts purchase , which proved disappointingly just too sweet ordinary custard rather than the real egg, subtle barely sweet delicious ones I remember from my past.
S.We ate here a few months ago and were BLOWN AWAY by the delicious food!!! Then my son visited for his favourite treats a week ago and was delighted to find that not only do they have incredible food but they don't discriminate against unv'd... and that meant the world. r.Hugh selection of tasty eye appealing treats. I have yet to find a cafe in the North Island up to the standard of this establishment. MUST STOP for all food lovers. Have called in on numerous occasions and never been disappointed. Only wish there was more cafes like this dotted around the country. On second thoughts maybe not if we are to keep an eye on our waistline.

R.I don't know what I was expecting from a bakery that shares a wall with a petrol station, but this place is awesome. The treats were extensive, beautiful, and delicious. The prices were good and, bonus, if you are stopping in while on the road, they have a few prebagged treats (such as blueberry meringues) that you can grab
S.Overall a wonderful place for a French delight. Huge cabinet option makes the life difficult 😃. Every thing on the shelves for not only feast full but was a delight to have one. The staff was spontaneous and welcoming. Overall service rating of 3.5 that, because we saw our cabinet food being sitting on a public area where people were talking around for almost all 25 min when they decided to send it to us. That was something not expected in the environment we are living today. May be just a small thought on this can make a huge difference. Overall very satisfied will come again to try the other delights.
C.Best cafe I've been too. So much choice and variety and can never decide and everything I've eaten was really delicious and satisfying. Even made the trip up from Tauranga today to have a nice Sunday breaky. Thanks Industrie French Kitchen!
P.My favourite thing in the world has to be the Kronut and this one was just heaven. Great coffee too, my latte was like silk! But management, please please please train your staff. They're all friendly with their service but I was surrounded by dirty tables for the majority of my visit, and not one of them seemed to realise it was their job to clear them. Knock that on the head and it would have been perfect. I am keen to pop-in when you open in the mornings to see your counter fully stocked!! Can't wait to come back and try more.

J.I dont know how they can sell their superb range of French sweet and savoury delicacies at the prices they do. I would expect to pay premium prices for premium food BUT not here. Tucked beside Z not far from Mega Mitre 10. Genuine French croissants, pies, sweet treats and the loveliest lady serving.

F.Amazing place, a little diamond hidden on the outskirts of Taupo.
The staff is very friendly and super attentive, great foodies environment where you “eat with your eyes” even before tasting any croassaint tart cake sandwiches or anything else on display.
The ingredients used are top notch ( almond paste inside the almond croassaint it’s a very nice detail you won’t see often elsewhere in NZ )
Coffee is balanced and full of aroma, definitely worthwhile to come and visit!
B.Friendly enough staff. Service was prompt. Suggest pastry based food be oven crisped NOT microwaved even if it takes a little longer for customers so that was disappointing. Maybe oven crisping could be made a feature? It would taste so much better! Also, please review your coffee making - ours had a slight "burnt" taste.
There was no separation for covid19 as required by government !!

This place is great. Got all of the above and more. Great food, great service and staff personality. The food was done to a high quality and good presentation. I recommend it to all.
J.Only thing to let this place down was a loud grumpy staff member who was rude to other staff members (to the point where you felt sorry for the rest of her team) and customers. The rest of the staff were warm and delightful.

A.What a great find! If you are passing through or not even into Taupo, this cafe is so well placed. We didn't want to brave with the main street as it's always so busy, so popped up here and were really pleased. Great food, amazing cabinet food and the pastries... yum! J.Surprisingly good little cafe tucked away beside the Z station where the Napier Taupo Road meets the Eastern bypass. You can choose from a huge range of tasty cabinet food which is all made on the premises and the coffee was excellent. We will be back.

A.AMAZING food - the hollandaise sauce was lemony and perfect creating the ultimate eggs bene. Coffee was superb. Service was efficient and friendly. Cafe was warm on a cold morning. Pastries delicious and we purchased chicken and avocado baguettes to eat later which was super tasty and simply perfect. The only downfall is they are not my local cafe here in Auckland.

L.When an absolutely decadent, gastronomic, delight Industrie French Kitchen is. The food and service is amazing. Lovely setting, nestled around the base of Mt. TAUHARA. Great cabinet good sumptuous blackboard menu . Definately a place to visit when wanting brunch, morning or afternoon tea when in Taupo.

K.I can't rave enough about their french-style cakes and pastries. Recently I had the choux filled with crema, and my friend had the melt-in-the-mouth pastry twist filled with cranberries and other goodies. Both of them were out of this world. I've also recently had the choux pastry filled with hazelnut cream, various brioche, and the almond croissant. I know - it's beginning to sound like I might have a sugar and carbs problem, but to be honest, it's just good quality food with attention to detail, and it never fails to please. I've never eaten anything there that wasn't full of flavour and reminiscent of France. Even a plain croissant with coffee is enough to make my day.
T.Good spot just off the bypass. Nice food, great facilities. Plenty of high chairs and to add to that, has excellent baby change stuff (a proper change table + wipes + bags etc).
