What a great cafe. Superb selection of healthy and delicious food. Kids loved the smoothies and the mushroom tart was absolutely divine!! Coffee was also excellent. Courtyard is sheltered and is indeed cosy!

January 2020. Well this is our favourite place for brunch here in Taupo. We even bought friends! And came back twice in the week... Here are our photos from this visit. Previously. This is the second time we've been to this delightful little cafe that's tucked away in Taupo. Food is absolutely delicious and coffee hot and amazing!

But no fear if you’re in Taupo. Delicious foods options for vegans, vegetarians, keto dieters and non-dieters alike! The menu details everything... it’s so easy! And the staff were very welcoming and super friendly! 😊 For me the keto cheesecake took the prize ... amazing! 🥰 We’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Taupo.

After doing a quick online search looking for allergy friendly cafes and reading good reviews about this place we decided to give it a go. My 2 year old has multiple allergies and dining out can be a mare. This place is amazing. I'm in love. From friendly and helpful staff, to an extensive menu with lots of options for my little guy, to some great toys for kids to play with, this place hits every mark. Thanks so much!

New FAVOURITE cafe in Taupo!!! @thecozycornertaupo is even better than the reviews. There are SO many nutritious and delicious options for those with dietary restrictions. I enjoyed the Cajun chicken salad and subbed avo for the corn, onion and tomato. My daughters enjoyed their dairy-free, gluten-free meals, too. And to top it off they serve incredible beverages, including @ripecoffeeroasters divine coffee 😍 (had the DF bulletproof option), and @mistydayplantpotions amazing brews (my fave being the Shroom 🤗). Oh and don't forget to try the complimentary chlorophyll 💚water.

This cafe definitely lives up to its name! Amazing atmosphere, and the staff was lovely. I ordered The Happy Camper and a vanilla latte, and was so happy with both presentation and the quality. A must go place if you're in Taupo!

Appropriately named, this is a really lovely spot for breakfast! Good for small, quiet business or study meetings or any smaller rendezvous. Fantastic variety of cabinet food as well as a big breakfast and lunch menu. Good value for money, wonderful service. Delicious well made coffee and food options for all diet needs/choices.

If you're wondering where to eat... Go here!!!! Oh man. It was so good. So this was breakfast number 2 for me, I'd been to Dixie browns and had the most rubbish toast, I think it actually made me more hungry. Had a little wonder, and found this place. It's beautiful, cute and quirky. The staff were awesome and super friendly. Menu is really great, the cater for every dietary requirement, and with great options rather than the standard vegan alternatives. I had the acai bowl and it tasted incredible, like literally perfect! It was definitely made with love and attention to detail, and you can taste how fresh every was. The Cozy Corner is extremely popular and probably rightly so as it has lots of vegan and vegetarian produce. Unfortunately we ordered 3 coffees with coconut milk and it tasted burnt. On another day it would probably have been fine but you also could not taste the rice milk as the heat destroys it.

So good - we went back twice in 3 days! SO many vegan options, the tofu scramble was so good, and that was the best iced coffee I've ever had! Staff are awesome and very helpful. Would highly, highly recommend this place!

The food is dangerous! Start up breakfast was delicious. Cinnamon spirals are diabetes waiting to happen, but are so nice that 1isn't enough and 2 is overload.

Great food and drinks and friendly staff. We have medical dietary restrictions and they make a lot of things we can eat. Lots of delicious options for everyone. No comprises necessary! Not exclusively vegan like The Little Bird bakery and cafe in Auckland (which gets a lot of hype), but I think even better in execution. More balanced flavors and textures. Not overly sweet but bursting with all the right flavors. Fun place to hang out but also can order to go. A great find! Worthy of its own recipe book!

If you are traveling to Taupo and wanting to have fantastic delicious and nicely presented food..this is a must. Experience the seating outside table chairs and sofa with comfy cushions. Grab your menu📃 from the stand before you go in..and the staff will come to your table.🖊 I just ordered the breakfast and it was just mouthwatering 🙂 Wanting to use the restroom🚽 grab a key hanging up on the wall ..inside a folding baby changing table how convenient. It's a cost relaxing atmosphere. Try the (free)green chlorophyll drink amazing. I'm definitely stopping in again when I will be traveling through that way again.🙂

Cute little cafe, but unfortunately I was dissapointed by the Nutella Crepes :( they we're basically just 3 small pancakes with maybe a teaspoon of Nutella. I think I just expected french Crepes with Nutella..(kg would be fine, but in my eyes they we're kinda too pricy for that) but the coffee was pretty good!

Great location, central but tucked in a great covered courtyard with plenty of seating. Incredible range of food, rare for me to be able to find so many things I can eat to choose from (gluten free, onion, garlic, milk free etc.). Awesome friendly team and coffee at a standard I'd feel lucky to find in Melbourne or Sydney. Kid friendly too.

Myself and our 3 year old boy just had brunch at your cafe...The mushroom, spelt slice was delish, we both enjoyed and half each iced chocolate that was suggested by Perra, what a brilliant idea of hers and I would like to say she was most helpful, thanks Perra and also Jerri she was amazing too! When ever you are in Taupo make it your mission to visit The Cozy Corner Shop The 35 minutes myself and my Italian Whanau experienced at 730am Friday morning was start of any day you wish for. The owner (Camilla) was setting up the outdoor furniture and getting ready for another stunning day She was genuinely welcoming and was patient with our early morning indecisiveness The menu was a great size with options for all eaters (gluten free/vege/dairy free/vegan/meatatarians too). We eventuality ordered a mix from the cabinet and kitchen ... All were delivered promptly & were delicious. My coffee was just what the doctor ordered. The community togetherness and generosity was the "surprise and delight" that blew me away....a local lady sitting by herself encouraged me to sample some chlorophyll infused water from the counter. She was charming and also very genuine in the few words we exchanged. Before leaving, she made the effort to walk across the small cafe floor to wish our table a GREAT day! We reciprocated to her friendly gesture and then she left. Camilla came over shortly after her departure to inform us that the regular customer had paid for our drinks and that is not the first time her generosity has been seen. NOW , PLEASE .... DO NOT MISTAKE that this review is written because we got FREEBIES. IT'S NOT! People being people, and not being afraid to say hi, BUT WANTING to say hello is the ultimate definition of hospitality..... And she didn't even work at The Cozy Corner Shop. The experience from walking in to leaving The Cozy Corner Shop will be one I will remember for all the right reasons I love this industry called Hospitality! Thank you Camilla for the best Friday I have had this year!

Fabulous cafe with epic vegan options. Was in Taupō for the weekend a month ago and went there for breakfast two days in a row. Olivia (if I remember the name correctly) was super lovely, chatty and just offered beautiful customer experience two days in a row. Coffee was great, and I had hash brown stack with Tofu and avo both days. Actually I went there for afternoon snack too and had vegan banana bread too. So good, it's a place I definitely would go back too. Oh yeah, and chlorophyll water is such a nice add-on, loved it. Thank you and hope to see you soon again.
