Great spot to stop on our way up north. So good that we stopped again on our way back South after our vacation! Great service. Enough space to be comfortable and excellent food. A definite winner for families, a couple, if you are staying in Taupo or just passing through. Highly recommend it.

Fabulous service from the minute you walk in the door to time you leave. The food is great. All of our group thoroughly enjoyed their brunch choice. Two of us had the pancakes and thought it would be good to be able to choose 1or 2 pancakes as they are big and extremely filling. Lovely cool setting with a choice of indoor or outdoor. Worth the visit.

Thoroughly recommend. Came back the next day. Buddha bowl and eggs Benedict the best I have tried for a long time! Hard to find a good Coffee these days but both days amazing! Yum. Put it on your bucket list when travelling through Taupo

Really nice place and good atmosphere. The food is a little on the expensive side but the quality is definitely worth it. I had a mix up thinking the wifi was paid for so I bought a voucher and the owners offered to refund me because they have free vouchers available. So I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a really good breakfast and coffee.

Love eating at Victoria's, couldn't come to Taupo without stopping here. Today while my wife ate a spinach roll I had Reuben sandwich. No disappointments. Great service too. My iced chocolate was incredible.

Friendly staff and food came out promptly (even though we went at peak time on a public holiday). Coffee was great and the 'Perfect Pancakes' lived up to the name - fluffy and delicious with the apple and blackberries!

Great lunch stop.Free 60 minute parking nearby. We had excellent coffees and a “rolled omelette”. It was fluffy and generously filled with chorizo, potato cubes and caremelised onion.

Great spot in frond of the lake, nice outside patio with solid wood tables and bench with blankets to cover your leg while watching stunning lake and mountain few. Food very fresh, I don't Know which one I could choose , I had spinach feta roll delicious. Coffee excellent. Staff very friendly. I recommend

Super friendly staff. They offered a couple of vegan options. The vegan Buddha bowl ($20) was great but was a little light if you're hungry. Regardless, it tasted great :)

I'm so disappointed. Ordered a salmon eggs Benedict for $25 and received hard-boiled eggs instead of poached (see photo). The meal was below average and overpriced. As this is my last meal in Taupo I feel it has been wasted. Staff were nice but inattentive, 2.5 stars because the coffee was good.

Went to this place two mornings in a row for our morning coffee... one of those mornings being the day of the 10th anniversary for the Taupo summer concert with more than 20,000 people in town across the road. It was like musical chairs. One got up and left, another one filled the spot immediately. With around 60+ people wining and dining, the tables were clean, the food was flowing, and the smiles were plenty. We didn't wait any more than 15minutes for our bowls of coffees and 3 meals. So impressed with the way the staff handled such a crazy amount of patrons without any delays. Would recommend this place and trying the "energy salad" and the mac and cheese. It's to die for

Gorgoues wee cafe. Good pricing and delicious food.

The food looked good, very average and lacked the wow factor you would expect when your paying that much for breakfast. I had the pancakes which was very average, my wife had the poached eggs which were overcooked. Coffee was ok For 40+ we paid for the breakfast I really can't say I was impressed.

A great place for a breakfast or lunch. We came here for a quick bite in the morning, and everything was delicious. Coffee was amazing as well. There is a lot of different choices that could suit any taste.

Ambiance is very beautiful with stylish decor. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I would rate this place higher however i had an omelete which was 21$ which in my opinion is worth max 14$. After the omelete I am still very hungry. The omelete was tasteless and plain. All ingredients were added at the top not inside the omelete. Coffee was nice.

Very friendly staff and beautiful food, I was also pleased to be served a real spiced chai latte. Scrumptious, certainly recommend as reasonably priced.

Delicious drinks, cozy environment, kids drinks were presented amazingly! Good for kids some toys and colouring equipment to keep them busy, and overall a great cafe.

Little bit disappointed that there was only 1 gluten free option in the counter. And it was actually keto a little bit tasteless. But apart from that the staff were friendly and the service was fine

Excellent place for têtê a têtê! Warm and personal with great selection on menu. I've been here before many times and it always surprises me. I'll come more often.If you don't want Lake views but a great coffee etc when heading south or North then this is the place! AND ITS NOT NOISEY. Back again today - I like you - see you on Friday! Friday I brought my wife and she loved it. Look at the meal. Best mushroom & chicken I've tasted in NZ! Except my wife's cooking! Such a yummy and lively place to eat! There were plenty of gluten free options that weren't just eggs and toast such as this yummy kumara gnocchi. Extensive choice of cabinet food as well.

The place looks nice and has good atmosphere. The food was average but the presentation was well. The menus are leaning towards on the pricey side. Just came here for lunch.

Great food! I had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and it had a potato cake underneath and was quite tasty. Nice coffee but the bloody Mary seemed to be just tomato juice and vodka, so not the best. Fast, friendly service. They have high chairs.

Gorgoues setting and food delicious and well priced.

We had brunch here when we saw how popular it was. We weren't disappointed. Hubby had poached eggs and toast and l had the pancakes with spiced apple, walnuts and pistachios, blackberries, freeze dried raspberries and 2 generous dollops of creme fraiche. The pancakes were big and super light and fluffy. The best l have ever eaten. We will definitely be going back. Very friendly staff and clean and tidy cafe.

Highly recommend!!! We came in with a child who has food allergies, the kitchen and main staff were absolutely accommodating and provided us with a gluten and dairy free meal that was delicious and carefully prepared. Thank you so much.

Wow! Busy but place full of delicious food and coffee is wonderful

Was fine, everything was ok. Place was pretty busy, but not all the tables were full, and there was a significant stagger in the arrival of our table of 4½ people's lunch orders. So much so, that our 3 year old had finished and was bored before my meal had arrived. Appeared to be sufficient wait staff. Probably look for an alternative lunch venue

Best club sandwiches, arguably, in the world. This has become my fav place to stop for food on the way to Wellington. Every meal I've had from here has been delicious. Great service and setting

A really great place and it would be our first choice by miles when we come through Taupo again. The atmosphere is great, the food is varied and has healthy choices. The coffee is excellent and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The place was humming by 12.00 and I am really happy we went a bit earlier. There seemed to be as many locals as visitors which to me is an indicator of a good cafe. Service is quick and the items in the cabinet were worth having as much as those on the menu. Don't expect everything to come at the same time as they are busy. Hot and fast is better than slow and co-ordinated.

We booked to have our friends wedding anniversary here. We were not disappointed. The venue was perfect for hosting 110 people. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our guests were very pleased with the venue

Wonderful staff and service. Then food delicious. I had poached egg on cabriata bread lovely but they have big selection in cabinets and on menu. . Coffees nice americano but very strong so needed good amount of extra pot of oiling water

Fantastic food, coffee and service.

Very impressed. Friendly staff and nice food. Got a simple eggs and toast for breakfast at a very cheap reasonable cost, when others charge far too much for the same. One thing I was also impressed with was the option of mousetraps on the kids breakfast menu - a great idea! Highly recommend this place.

Nice atmosphere and decor. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a wide range of food available from the counter plus a selective menu. I had a small quiche the filling was tasty but the pastry was not cooked completely. The coffee was great. All up it was a pleasant visit.

Friendly staff, incredible food (gf too), lovely decor, beautiful restroom and great prices. It's a total winner for me. Meant to take a photo before eating but the cauliflower dish with spinach, chilli, coconut yoghurt and paladins was just too delish to wait that long!

Probably the best omelet I've ever tried, obviously after my wife's, fluffy, flavorful, good looking goodness, loads of ham, and I added extra bacon, totally worth it. I haven't even finished my meal and I'm posting this. Soooo good! 😁

The place is nice to spend time with friends or families. Coffee taste is balance and fancy. The creamy mushroom is suprised me, as it used Chinese white mushroom, this is so different to others. Special but I prefer button mushroom or brown mushroom or portobello flat mushroom than this white mushroom, as the white mushroom doesn't have flavor from mushroom but with good plant collagen when under a slow cook. The squid taste is good but a bit soft and the dough is not crispy enough.

I had a lovely soup, served in a huge plate with a normal sized serving. Expect it would catch the drips. Other couple had cake. One said his slice looked bigger in the cabinet. My friend enjoyed his two savories and salad. Really busy.

It was disappointing the girl who served was really busy and forgot how to provide customer service. Husband had spinach toastie from the cabinet which he loved. I got a partially burnt bagel which I had to scrape. Coffee was amazing and served by someone who smiled.

Food was over done, eggs benedict - eggs over poached and minimal hollandaise that had dried from sitting under pass lights for too long. Coffee was exceptional tho. Nice decor. Will give a 2nd go when not so busy.

Awesome food. You can see the love and effort they put in the dishes. Cooked with fresh herbs, Chicken cooked “a point”, nicely balanced acidity. Everything here was top notch; food, ambiance, decor, service. I can't say enough nice things! Their scones are a treat that I would come back to again and again, tried the big breakfast and the pancakes. Lemme tell you these pancakes are rich and fluffy and thick. The coconut, passion fruit, and raspberry work so well to create a truly mouthwatering dish. Also they are so beautiful. I hardly wanted to eat them, but for the sake of your taste buds you gotta dig in!

If I could give this place more than five stars, I would. This was definitely our favorite meal of the trip, and it was just brunch! We took some take away with us on a hike, and even cold three hours later it was amazing!

Our favorite Taupo cafe. Excellent coffee, food and service.

We always hit this place up when we come to Taupo and have yet to be disappointed. The food is flavorful and beautifully presented and the coffee is above average for sure. The bakery items in the case are often better looking than tasting, but take a chance anyway and try several different things. We often come for brunch and have ordered both savory and sweet items. The eggs benny and bacon as well as the pancakes are all worth it, so feel confident in your selection.

Have always had excellent food in the past. Maybe it was because we ordered cabinet food, just wasn't as good. Salmon roulade was cold in the middle and salad/coleslaw was dressed in what looked like gravy and tasted pretty unappetising. Will order off menu next time.

Victoria's Cafe is one of those classic cafes that do not need to reinvent themselves!. The food is always great and the coffee is good. The staff are friendly and helpful and they are very accommodating to any requests you might have. i would recommend then for their classic decor and awesome inspirational signs.

Lovely cafe, beautiful look to it and comfortable environment! I really love the pancakes! So much so that im now known for ordering them :o havent been in a while! Will have to when back from south Island, due a pancake fix :)

Normal food which is overpriced. Nothing special about the food, but the vibe and atmosphere of the place is good. Parking can be a problem at peak times. Good staff and customer service. Need bit more variety in menu than just traditional breakfast. Really overpriced for just an ordinary food choice.

The back wall is covered with old newspaper prints, mostly from the 60s. Could have stayed for hours chatting with mum and dad about all the people, places and events contained in them!

Victoria's is a great spot able to accomodate small or large groups, without being to big or small. They are available as a function facility at night time and change the menu seasonally. The slogan is Life Is Good & owners seem to run it with that attitude in mind!

Overrated. Pumpkin risotto was average and “mushroom magic” less than average. Plum porridge was great though. Someone from the staff filled 4 bottles of water looking at me waiting to fill a glass for myself.

Excellent food. You can tweak the menu and make up you own breakfast like this bagel with fried and bacon, delicious! My husband had the eggs benedict with bacon.
