A serene and relaxing setting. Ducks chilling nearby and the sounds of nature all around. We had the big breakfasts - 1 vegan and one non vegan. I suffered a bit of FOMO when looking at the vegan breakfast. The food cabinet was full of delicious homemade goodies. Price? Pretty comparable to other cafes but you don't get this setting at other cafes. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Best cafe in the Bay area!

Awesome little cafe in the McLarens Falls park area. An old character building with some stained glass windows. The food was really nice, I had the quiche, lovely thin pastry which makes a change. Quick delivery to the table as well. Pleasent helpful staff.

If you haven’t been here before then don’t hesitate and go straight away. It’s well worth the short drive out of town. The views are amazing as is the food and the staff are friendly- everything you could ask for on a gorgeous sunny day.

Had vegan creamy mushrooms on toast - devine ! Never disappointed here. Usually have the vegan big breakfast. Aubergine bruschetta tastes really good. Plenty of other vegan options to choose from - even do a vegan toasted sandwich ! Good section of vegan cakes and ice creams. Well worth the drive from Papamoa. I come here as often as I can. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Lovely setting in McLaren Falls. Do visit !!

Amazing food with amazing prices for a Cafe out in such an area. The ladies were lovely and my coffee was the best I've had in such a long time. Steak sandwich was gorgeous and sausage rolls for my son he devoured! Fully recommend it was brilliant all round ❤

What a good part of the world. We were recommended to visit the park by a friend and were pleasantly surprised to find a full cafe/restaurant on the grounds. It’s perched on a lovely overlook of the lake and is beautifully maintained inside and out. My partner and I received nothing but the highest quality customer service, attention to detail and genuine care from the staff. They clearly take great pride in the work they do and we were happy to return again for a second meal. Top effort team!

We take special friends here as it always thrills. Wonderful trees around the lakes and picnic areas. If you want a snack and coffee the cafe is right there as well. Put aside some time, you will need it. Oh and the animal park is on the road in as well. What more could you ask?

Beautiful spot for a cafe and a lovely drive to get here and explore from here, right next to an information centre and ticket kiosk for camping, which also has public toilets. Impressive menu and the broccoli, spinach and cheese parcel as well as mango and coconut mousse we had were both very nice. Good coffee. Both indoor and outdoor seating, theres a ramp entrance at the back so wheelchair or mobility scooter uses would be able to have access. Our order brought out to us which is good. A lovely visit

Quick visit after a bush walk around the falls. Easy walk, beautiful setting with picnic tables along the water. Relaxing way to spend a little time in hotter weather. Cafe was lovely with a good selection of foods at reasonable prices.

This is a lovely place to visit. We often go for a coffee and lunch. The staff are lovely people, always friendly and happy and even remember our usual order. It's sad to see the hateful post below as we were actually sitting on the next table over from that family. Her review could not be further from the truth. She was incredibly rude to the owner who was nothing but polite to the family. We will never be put off by 1 disgruntled reviewer and will continue to visit and enjoy the hospitality of all at Falls cafe as well as recommend to friends and family. You guys do a great job!

What a brilliant cafe in an idyllic setting. The food is amazing! Great coffee too. Eating outside you have the option to buy duck food to feed the friendly ducks that casually wander around. The staff are really friendly and helpful, I would highly recommend this cafe. Set at McLaren's Falls it is a really great go to place when you want to chill and look at amazing scenery, not to mention going for a swim or kayak

Place is beautiful, definitely going through changes with environment awareness. Pro recycle, tasty vegan/vegetarian option, even if you not one, it's most certainly worth a try. And the large coffee is about the size of a small bucket. Good value. More options would be nice.

I was running an AIMS Games event at McLaren Falls and approached the cafe about providing food for our Officials. Although they were normally closed on the day of our event they very kindly went in and prepared 12 takeaway meals and coffees and drove them up to the competition for us. Above and beyond the call of duty - Outstanding service with a smile. The food was lovely and they'd kept it hot for us in foil and chilly bags until we needed it. Just fantastic!!! Thank you lovely ladies at the Falls Cafe!

Good food, nice atmosphere, and prices are about the same as most other cafes. The kitchen is open to three which is a bonus. Recommended if you're visiting the falls, otherwise in the area, or want to grab a bite somewhere with some nice scenery.
