A.This place is unique. The tables out the back of the shop are built around some beautiful trees. The coffee and food is great too. A gem in Thames.
j.Came here for brunch. Most of the other cafes were closed on account it was a holiday and Chequers was quite busy. We were warned that the food could be an hour, but with few options we stuck around. Fortunately it was only a half hour before we got our food. The potato rosti was nice. There was a slight mix up on which platter got the bacon, but it wasn’t difficult to fix. I had the fish and chips and was pleasantly surprised. Fish wasn’t greasy and was nicely seasoned. Service was friendly, though seemed rushed, but that’s understandable given how busy they were. Overall a solid 4 stars.
K.Great food, yummy coffee and lovely and quick service. The outside area is delightful and has 2 gorgeous and friendly kitties. Enjoyed our quick lunch here greatly!
