k.A little gem located next to Aeroview Garden Centre on main highway into Thames township.
Cafe has roomy indoors and a terraced deck area outside to sit on in summertime.
Very friendly staff are there to help you select from either the blackboard menu or good choice of cabinet food.
We ordered poached eggs on toast with bacon (approx $13) and buttermilk pancakes with fruit (16.50). My husband enjoyed his and my pancakes were the best Ive had. Delicious with good sized portions they came with an extra jug of warm syrup.
Hung around the inside cafe walls is artwork for sale by local artists, all reasonably priced.
So if you're looking for a fabulous cafe with good food and great service then I recommend stop here.
J.Very pleasant cafe stop, nice outdoor seating, good range of food and tea, coffee etc.
Prompt service, wasn't too busy, two bathrooms, one was in need of some attention, the other was fine.
Ample parking outside.

Considering the price, i can understand them doing this, but they could increase their price by a couple of dollars and serve nice sausages and get 5 star rating from me.

S.Menu is standard fare. The thing is, they make the food well, tasty and on time despite the place being busy. Good place to eat and run! Not all the staff are friendly! Please smile, fewer fascial muscles used than to be taciturn. Also, please do something about the flies!
V.Open and airy Cafe, garden setting and rural outlook. delicious food my favorite is vegetable frittata, fresh salad with dressing and their coffee is superb;

G.I travel to Thames regularly for work and this is the place I stop for my ☕ coffee. When I travel to the Coromandel on weekends this is the stop everyone should make for a delicious breakfast and great service.

C.Just ok. Can't quite put my finger on it, just something which makes it not a good fit for me. The food and coffee is great, the service is good. It is a busy place and very noisy, maybe that's it.

A.Menu selection is pretty basic and limited, but they made me a couple of things off the menu, an iced coffee and mushrooms on 5 grain toast with 2x side of bacon. mushrooms were pretty watery but tasted ok and iced coffee was good. Girlfriend had a banana smoothy which was yummy. Extra star though as the waiter was friendly and he noticed I had left my sweatshirt on the back of my chair and brought it out to the carpark to find me . . Thanks that was helpful . Not much cafe wise that has decent food in Thames that I could find apart from this one?

G.Nice place to sit and eat, especially as a traveler going though Thames. Seating outside seamed tired and old, probably needs replacing and an over all spruce up of the place would be nice. Food came out relatively fast and was tasty however was surprised when extra ingredients were added which were not stated in the menu which I would of preferred to not be there. This was an ok place.

I really enjoyed my huge flag white bowl and the yummy short bread while waiting for my partner to pick me up after an appointment.
Friendly service staff. Not very busy, when I went there on a Monday at 2:30pm. Happy recommending it for a stopover connected with plant shopping or looking for gifts at the garden centre. Also recommended as heaps of parking space compared to Thames, where parking often gets tight. As open until late (5pm), when cafes in town are already shut since 3pm...
H.We met friends here for lunch on a rainy Sunday. We had a walk around the garden centre while we waited for our friends. We found a table for 4 near the window with a good outlook to the garden centre. Service was most pleasant and prompt. I had a vegetarian pumpkin quiche and loved it. My husband had a bacon toasted sandwich yum! Will return on our next visit to Thames.
M.Good coffee. Wide range of cabinet food. Hot meat looks very dry and appears to have been sitting for a while. Staff very serious and not chatty or welcoming.

A.SItuated on the premises of Aeroview garden centre (and sharing its parking lot) as you approach Thames from the South, this cafe has a good range of food. The prices are very reasonable and the serving size is very generous. They have a good selection of Gluten free meals, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I go through to Thames quite often but today was the first time I had stopped here, I will be calling in again.
J.Delicious soup, crisp buttered toast Mmmmm. And we had a lovely view of horses and their riders practising dressage.

C.We decided to stop by here enroute to Tairua and glad we did so! :) ordered couple of coffee, mini breakfast and eggs benedicts. Good portion and food was delish! Happy with the coffee as well. Cosy and casual settings we both enjoyed our time there.
