G.We our family get together there last Sat 1st May for a while I thought we had overtaxed them but we all enjoyed ourselves thanks to their herculean effort for the huge variety of food that was ordered. We will most certainly be patronizing them again for the food was really good and enjoyed by all. Can't wait for an excuse to visit Tuakau again

Food is all made in-house e.g. ginger crunch, great relish.
Organic + free-range is not cheap so pricey.
Great coffee (Altura) - apparently they change the blend monthly.

h.Absolutely brilliant coffee, providing great food including heaps of keto, gluten free and other alergen aware treats. No one misses out with this selection. They also have small cubes of yummies so you have self control and be decadent 😋

P.Oh absolutely loved it defs worth my money the food was so on point my iced chocolate was perfect I reckon the outdoor seating may need abit more of a homely touch feel like deco plants etc heating for the winter but overall 10 out of 10 defs will always come here
A.We stopped for lunch here on the way from Auckland to Taupō. There is a good selection of food, the portions are big and delicious. The chips are amazing! Unfortunately we ate so much that there was no space for one of the many cakes. Certainly worth driving to Tuakau.

L.We took 3 friends from out of town there because we’ve always enjoyed the food & service. Not so on our last experience . Scones not warmed & so dry they were hardly edible :( Staff didn’t want to be there that day. Disappointed ☹️
C.I had the open chicken sandwich and fries today. It was so yummy! Nothing to fault on the taste but I do think that they should include fries with the sandwich instead of having to buy separately.
W.This is my favourite cafe in Tuakau. The staff are happy and the food interesting and delicious. I particularly like the scrambled eggs. Coffee is excellent and there is a good range of seating inside and out.

S.My wife Mary and I have been paying regular weekend lunch time visits for quite a while now, and we are never disappointed with what the Sugar Plum has to offer. It's not just the glorious menu (the Buddah Bowls are just one of our favourites) and cabinet selection, but the warmth and welcoming from the happy team that hosts us. We live in Waiuku so there are many lunch time options in the Franklin area to visit, but it's the Sugar Plum which we now regard as our regular 'local'. We've eaten in restaurants and cafes all over the world, but the flavours, variety and service at the Sugar Plum rate as high as any. Thank you all.
