R.Stopped here for morning coffee and something to share. Having a nice day off in Waihi and found this nice little cafe. Highly recommend especially if coffee is important to you and you value Good coffee. The muffin was excellent as well. Personally I would cost as $ because I come from Auckland. However most people might cost as $$.
V.Absolutely delicious! I have the Pork Bao Buns and they were so tasty I had one of them before taking a picture. The staff are super friendly, the courtyard is very cute and not overly cramped and there is plenty of shade! Even though the staff were being run off their feet, they still took a moment to find the owners of a dog that was in a car outside in the sun (with no windows down), amazing!
R.I love this place. I ways stop there when passing through the town. The meals are interesting, tasty and the portions generous. There are lots of gluten free and some healthy options too.
The staff are helpful. The atmosphere and decor is quirky but I love to sit outside under the sun umbrellas.

R.This is a little gem of a Cafe in an old cottage. The garden has been converted into a shady outside dining area. Great food to suit all budgets. The staff were everywhere. Highly recommended.
M.It was a charming cafe. Great service with homy and soulful atmosphere. They are serving short order meals and a la carté foods. It is close to other shops in town so it is very convenient for a short walk to grab a nice coffee and other refreshments. The dining area is decorated with vibrant and impressionistic paintings from local artists.
P.S. I wonder if those grapes in the front fence might be ready for picking when i come and visit again this lovely cafe.🤗
D.Hype not justified. With such a high google rating we looked forward to our brunch here but were rather disappointed.
Expensive for mediocre food. Wife enjoyed the avocado on toast, kids weren't fussed with pancakes (which had that McDonald's flour and water cardboard flavour) and my steak sandwich filled a hole, but with no lasting impression. Outdoor area needs some work. Gardens overgrowing, steps and ground was uneven, watch your step, and table/chairs needing repair and maintenance.
The outdoor rustic theme has been done much much better elsewhere. Would benefit from a fresh menu and investment of profits back into the business

C.Ordered an iced coffee & an iced chocolate & it took 20 mins to come out. If these people want to survive, they’ll need to focus on customer service. I needed to ask where my order is which is unacceptable - won’t return on this basis.

M.We hadn't originally planned on going to this cafe but lucked out when the one we had picked was closed. The actual building is pretty neat and on a sunny day, it was quite nice and relaxing to sit in the garden. Inside also looked pretty neat. The food was good though I wouldn't recommend this for a cheap meal. A great experience and start to our day!
P.The service was quick and friendly. The ambience is great a mixture of olde worlde charm and architecture with food as good as you will get anywhere in NZ. A good menu and prices that were appropriate. Lunch for two Eggs Benedict with Salmon for me and Bacon and Eggs and Hash Browns for my partner, a superb flat white and a cold drink that cost south of 60.00 was great value, the food was delicious. The cabinet selection whilst not extensive (it's not a huge venue) is interesting.If you are gf/ Or Vegetarian no problems, possibly vegan as well as keto friendly options. Not too shabby for a small town cafe. Coffee culture in Waihi, absolutely.

R.We all have bad days and unfortunately I arrived for my virgin visit on one. The scones were incredibly doughy I couldn't finish 1 half. My business partner crunched down on a date pip so hard (in the scone) that i thought he'd broken a tooth. But all's well that ends well. The coffee was great and the lady looking after us refunded us the cost of the scones with a sincere apology. She also mentioned what happened to the chefs so that it doesn't happen again. So not a great start for me but a happy ending for you. We all get things wrong sometimes... Definitely go to Ti Tree Cafe. They look after you.

B.Today I purchased a complete salmon filo for a few friends lunch. We all thought it was absolutely fantastic, five stars are not really not enough to express our appreciation. Well done, and the coffee was excellent.

L.Had two amazing vists here this weekend. On both occasions we sampled the breakfast ( eggs on toast and avocado smash on a personal note only found that the amount of Basil in the smash a little ott )
loved all the little touches with the meals - sauce with eggs on toast. beetroot relish with the Avocado smash.
On both visits we would the standard of the coffees very high.
The staff both days were friendly and very helpful.

J.Popped in today, had a coffee, orange date scone. Missus had a hot chocolate and scone, kid had a fluffy. Fast and friendly service in a cozy style cafe. This cafe is awesome and has heaps of little hidey holes for you to find a quiet corner to sit in. Nice discrete back seating area as well. It was a welcome vista on a chilly and rainy day. The long black I had was nice and the scone was very well done, heavy on the dates and light on the orange. 4 stars as is a bit too cozy for my liking.

J.Such a wonderful Cafe with a lovely garden to dine in. Every time I have been there I have got fantastic service and the food is very good. I think if this place was local to me I would get very fat. Great coffee too.
M.This was a lovely cosey place - nice garden atmosphère. Very accommodating staff ... however really disappointed with the baking. Not sure if they had problems with the oven or something as I ordered a plain scone, but it was a bit raw. If you picked out a piece and squeezed, it was like dough. The lady was really nice and offered money back or replacement. I decided to try the blueberry muffin, but that too was doughy and very heavy. However, my husband had the date scone and that was fine, but his other baking, i think à brioche was very heavy and solid as well. We noticed on another table they had ordered 3 baking items and they too were left. Not sure if it was an off day ... don’t want to discredit this cafe, as other aspects were really good, but I can only review on my experience.

L.Lovely brunch location and menu. Our food was lovely, and piping hot to suit the cold weather. We were fortunate to be able to sit outside, even though it is now winter, as the sun was out. However it was a bit cold in the shade. A lap rug would have been nice ( I notice some other places now provide this). The café is a busy one, being the only proper café open on a Sunday. Portion size was good. My husband had a cheese toastie and fries off the children's menu and was happy with the portion. My vegetable frittata was delicious.

L.I got the ti tree famous seafood chowder and my partner got the big breakfast. Seaafood chowder was full of flavour and the bread it was served with was delicious. Downside was there was abit of sand in my mussel and I don't think I got any smoked fish. Otherwise it was really good. My partner thought the Big breakfast was good, but there was nothing stand out about it. Quick and friendly service, would go back.
S.The coffees, particularly their Vienna (do specify how you like it, without being a wan..) and Iced Coffee/Mocha are exceptional and pales the few alternatives about town.
Admittedly their food (particularly their cabinet offerings) is a bit pricey yet very delicious so I guess that depends on YOUR wallet.
The variety of seating areas offers nice change on subsequent visits and the general atmosphere of friendliness is inviting and unobtrusive.
Recommend.
C.Nice surroundings, people & opens early but too expensive. $27.30 for an eggs bennedict (salmon) & coffee (bowl). Food and coffee was fine but probably $20 all up would be more realistic.
Would consider going in for a coffee only next time.
But if you have money to burn... go for it! ;)
R.We have become gluten intolerant with advancing years. This place works hard on delicious GF options. Their character shop is indoors/outdoors, central, and parking is never a problem.
