C.I loved having breakfast here in Wanaka. Some great vegetarian options drew me to it! I had the Scroggin benedict and a chai latte. I will go back again next time I’m in town!

E.Excellent coffee – and love that they're using NZ grown and made Boring Oat Milk. Really good vegetarian options on the menu and super tasty pastries and cookies in the cabinet (would recommend the chocolate banana bread).
C.Beyond the fact that this is the most beautiful cafe I have ever been to, this place actually has something for EVERYONE! I usually struggle to find things I can eat, but I could happily enjoy my vegan/gluten-free meals alongside my father-in-law while he ate his bacon and eggs. We go to Wanaka once a year for a week, and we actually ate here 5 days in a row this time! The cabinet food is second-to-none… in the whole country (get the salted chocolate chip cookie, you’re welcome). Line was out the door most days but food and drink still came out in 15ish mins, and it is a BIG cafe. If you’ve ever worked hospo, you’d know how impressive this is. Well done Scroggin Wanaka team! You’re a much needed addition to Wanaka!!

This place has transformed into everything you want from a mountain town cafe in the summer.
The indoor outdoor feel is perfect, the big open space making the place airy and so pleasant to relax in.
The food is phenomenal. The menu offers such a variety of delicious well sourced produce. The portions meet the prices and the staff are professional and very friendly.
Probably the most impressive revamp I've ever seen in a change in ownership and branding.
One note would be that I'd love to see some comfy cushions or a couple of couches. A cosy corner for reading 🙂

O.Scroggin is awesome!! Brilliant fresh food, friendly staff and has a great vibe. Park up alone or with a group - this is the best place for any occasion. The fit-out is unique-based on a back country hut. I would highly recommend a visit to Scroggin!

A.Excellent vegetarian option for breakfast. If you are looking for something different to the usual breakfast menu offerings give this place a go. Can highly recommend their take on eggs benny - Potato Rosti and Crispy Kale... yum!
