Outstanding food, service and views! We came straight up to the cafe after arriving in Wellington early on a Saturday morning and were in for a treat. The team were lovely and the breakfasts delicious. Hubby got the big brekkie, and I got The Bene. This has actual ham off the bone, the most divine parmesan and rosemary hash, poached eggs, and the best hollandaise sauce I have EVER tasted! Highly recommended.

Hi, we ordered a 50-50 pizza, fries and milkshake and a coffee. We loved the view, the fries and the milkshake, but my half of pizza was a bit sad (prawn pizza). Also, our waiter was lovely, but his face mask was probably too big for him and was hanging by his chin all the time leaving his nose and mouth uncovered.

Cable Top Eatery at Wellington Visited on 31/1/2019 After our visit to the Cable Car Museum, my wife and I drop by the Cable Top Eatery. It has indoor and outdoor dining. It offers a range of local food and drinks, gelatos, pizzas, wine and NZ craft beers. We only settled for a cup of coffee.

Nice food, friendly staff and beautifull view of Wellington 😍 My partner and I had our brunch here on a sunny Sunday and we really enjoyed it. Will def be back.

So good! We're a vegetarian family of 6 (parents, toddler, three school kids) & we found plenty on the menu for us all to enjoy. Food was very nice & well-presented and the service fairly quick despite it being a busy day. Awesome views & easy to keep busy little people entertained with a quick stroll outdoors while we waited for food to arrive which is a huge plus! 😀

Went here for lunch and got a seat outside in the sun. Beautiful views, lovely staff, delicious food and great cocktails too! We will definitely be coming back! Pic of the pizza after I’d eaten some, it was too good to wait!

Our first time here. Really nice coffee which came straight away but they somehow forgot our order for which we waited a long time. Place was very busy. But the lovely waitress apologized & offered us free drinks for the long wait which was great. Enjoyed the ordered meal.

Gorgeous views of Wellington and a beautiful naughtical villa aesthetic inside Wellington right at the end of the cable car. Tasty food and very friendly staff. (but if you're asking for a tumeric latte or chai make sure to ask for sweet because mine ended up being super spicy)

Great views across Wellington harbour through large picture windows with doors to outside seating. Absolutely fabulous on s glorious day but you’d need to be inside in a Southerly! Boss man who served us was a character and good coffee. Right next to cable car for a quick trip to central city.

What an awesome team who took my class of 10 /11yr olds in on a cold wet day. So kind. Fast and efficient service -great food. Can't thank them enough.

Great food and excellent view of Wellington. Visited during lunch time on a Sunday. Ordered the french toast with bacon, smashed avocado on sour dough and caramel milkshake. There was a queue to order the food but the counter lady was friendly and fast. Food came quite quickly as well. Really enjoyed the french toast and the avocado toast (especially the cherry tomatoes!). Milkshake was not as thick as I would like it but still good.

Excellent service so friendly and accommodating. It’s difficult to find places suitable to take my Mum aged 103 we had a cable car ride and were delighted to be able to have dinner here afterwards

🍪Location - it is well settled on the cable car top and the view is fantastic. 🍪Afghan Cookie - it tastes superb with crunchy yummy cereal bites in it. Chocolate favored food is always my favorite. 🍪Flat White and Long Black - I have to say as a cafe it did disappoint me with its coffee quality. Plain and boring tastes. 🍪Service - staff is friendly.

Top view with drinks, cakes. Do not forget to take a photo with the stunny view next to exit of cable car and the stairs. Than jump in for a coffee with some delicious cakes.

Perfect view of Wellington. Nice coffee and nice menu . Staff very friendly . I choose the Avocado on 5 grain. Nice .

Average all over. Needs improvement. Staff were busy socialising. Ordered food came out piecemeal and not together. Milkshakes were forgotten completely. Food was ok, pizza a bit undercooked but tasty base. It's a shame as the environment is excellent and with a bit more attention to service it would have been a great experience.

Happy surprise how good this was. Expected a tourist trap but got great food in a great location with o e of the team members giving memorable service. The $10 bacon and egg panini was delicious and a good size and the banana smoothie was delicious. The outlook was grand. The only pitfall was accessibility. The cooler outside seating was only accessible via stairs

Had a Ruben. Disappointing. Fatty beef and pretty flavourless. Was told the bagel was good, so your mileage may vary. Perhaps find somewhere else to eat.

Good ambiance. Had soup of the day which tasted homely and cosy on a cold afternoon!

Great location with superb views. A selection of cabinet and board meals available. I had the home-made soup, it was very tasty and served piping hot. Friendly and welcoming staff. Tables were cleaned promptly. A bonus of live Jazz musician during our lunch. Also visited the perfumery which was interesting.

My first visit to a cafe in New Zealand. Ordered a delicious chocolate milkshake which was delivered to my table outside by a friendly and polite waitress. Great service and great atmosphere. Excellent place, coffee is of a super high standard, menu food & counter food options are plentiful and diverse. The staff were attentive and knew the menu options inside out, the place was super clean and what a great view of the city. I will be visiting again next time I’m in the city

Staff not friendly and long black is only half full but great flavour to the coffee.

Great to eat here, with stunning view of Wellington CBD and the waterfront. The staff is really nice and the food as well. I would suggest to go and check out this place, also the interior is kind of art.

This is a great stop on the way between Lambton Quay and the botanical gardens. It's a pleasant trip up the cable car and perfectly located for views and a bright atmosphere. We were in for morning tea, so choosing from the cabinet. The biggest surprise was the stunning scone, gluten free with bacon and haloumi. Great texture and taste. It also turned out that the toastie was made on a bread with caraway seeds, which was quite interesting and didn't put off the six year old. All our selections turned out quite well.

Pretty much zero counter food here now. Only went for a coffee and probably a scone or something if they'd had any. Looks like they are emphasising table service menus, which we didn't try.

Visited as part of a work dinner/social evening - friendly and attentive wait staff, fantastic location with a view of downtown Wellington and easily accessed via the cable car.

Nice view and good for a quick coffee, but hard floors and walls make for a distractingly noisy meal - you can eat outside tho'

The Cable Top Eatery is a really welcoming place to eat, with great brunch/cafe options and the added attraction of an after work venue for cocktails or a glass of wine after work. It is a great find and conveniently located too.

Great place for luncheon located at the top of the cable car stop. It is right at the exit of the cable car despite it might look like a short walk from Google Map. Good selection of cabinet food, fast table service, and good drink menu consisted of smoothies, juices, bottled drinks and coffees. High chair available. Kids friendly.

Caesar salad was epic. Loads of bacon, perfect poached egg and anchovies galore. $22 well spent as it was filling.

Great view, nice staff good service, a little pricey however it's a million dollar view so it's worth paying. Coffee was FABULOUS, I had the vegetarian bagel yum, kids had the milkshakes a blueberry muffin & bacon & egg panini ask very good.

Friendly staff always having a laugh despite the varying fullness of the cafe. Food always fills the spot and the vibe of the cafe if not to busy can be enjoyed for hours as you soak in the views the wind and the groovy cafe reggae.

We had coffee and a couple of snacks. Coffee was great. They also have a good selection of dairy free / vegan sweet snacks.

Average service and coffee. They use Emperio coffee. Also have gelato and a selection of tea. Always busy and bustling. Black coffee for $4, white coffee for $4.50. Good view and especially good on sunny days.

(Translated) The only restaurant on the top of Mount Victoria. The location is very good. The scenery is the selling point and is beautiful. Environmental maintenance is also very distinctive. Our hilltop tramway went uphill and tried to enter for a meal. At lunch, it rains again. The business is good, and the crowd is almost full. We waited for about 15 minutes before taking our seats. I do n’t know if there is no order service at the table because of full occupancy; you need to go to the bar to order separately. Even the glass of water is handled by myself. Could it be the store's rules? I think they should be too busy. Next door is a perfume shop with floral plants. The interior is very Victorian. All products will be detailed through the store, as well as smelling incense bottles. The store encourages smelling the fragrance, but after smelling one kind of fragrance, you must pick up the coffee bean jar prepared next to it to remove the former taste. It's not bad to come and walk around while waiting for a meal. The meals were very special. The method of curry noodles is different from Asian flavors. Noodles similar to Japanese ramen are air-dried and formed into fried chicken mouth. The salmon meal is delicious. I do n’t know if New Zealand ’s pure water quality is related. The salmon in New Zealand is more delicious than the flavor in Norway. It is recommended for visitors who take the Peak Tram. (Original) 位在維多利亞山頂的唯一餐廳。位置地理非常的好。景色就是賣點也是唯美。環境維護的也很有特色。我們座山頂纜車🚠上山去，也嘗試著進入用餐。午餐時段，又逢下雨天。生意還不錯，人潮很多幾乎客滿。我們等候約15分鐘才座定位置。不知是否也因為客滿關係，沒有桌邊點菜服務；需個別到吧檯那邊去點菜。連杯水也是自己處理。莫非這是店家的規矩？我想應該是他們太忙碌了。相連隔壁有一家花香植物的香水專賣店。內裝非常的具有維多利亞風格。所有商品都會透過店家的詳細介紹，以及聞香瓶。店家鼓勵聞香，但每聞一種香味後必須拿起旁邊準備的咖啡豆罐來去除前一種味道，很專業的作法。在利用等餐時刻過來走走也不錯。餐點很有特色。咖喱麵的作法不同於亞洲的風味，類似日本拉麵的麵條風乾成型在伴炒雞肉口，吃起來很像台式的放大版的科學麵。鮭魚餐好吃，不知是否紐西蘭純淨的水質關係，紐西蘭的鮭魚硬是比挪威那邊的風味來的美味。推薦給乘坐山頂纜車的訪客，不妨體驗一下。
