I come here every time I'm in Wellington. I love it. Cool decor, friendly staff, good Havana coffee, and cheap tasty food.

A quirky and cosy cafe, central to everything but not encroached on by the hustle and bustle of the centre of town. Reliably good (though expensive) coffee - Havana beans, though the food is the real star here. The menu changes daily and you will need to inspect the counter to see what is available. There's a good variety of sandwiches, muffins, cakes, samosas, cookies, salads, filos and other sweet or savoury items, made on premises to unique recipes. The gluten free/dairy free/vegan options are clearly labelled and the prices are quite reasonable. The space also doubles as an art exhibition area - the displayed works are for sale, providing visibility for local artists.
Downsides: the inside space is tiny, so if it's busy you might have a hard time getting seated (they do have takeaway) and maximum at one table is 4 people. The queue can be long at busy times. There's no table service. The outside tables can be windy and noisy. Still, this is one of the cafes that shows the real Wellington and it's a treasure.

One of the best coffees I've had in a long time 👍

Excellent coffee and service. A Wide selection of homemade baked goods and foods. Friendly staffs. You can virtually see them cooking and baking.
The only downside is that wifi is not available.

I came here with my sister and loved the amount of vegan options they had and the PRICE! We're from Auckland so are used to paying more for vegan goods. We got an orange date scone and a Mushroom and pumpkin sandwich toasted.
The scone was the perfect balance of sweet from the dates and zest from the orange.
The toastie was... incredible. We were shocked. Perfect ratio of bread to filling. The fillings were pumpkin, red onion and Mushroom on brown bread with sundried and olive spread... and with vegan cheese. Pure heaven

Love deluxe. Great choice of food here, lots of vegan &vegetarian option, great coffee. Have never been disappointed. It's quite sink, limited seating inside, maybe 25 at a push. 4 bigger tables, maybe sit 4 and 5 little wall tables. Some seating outside.

Deluxe is a nice spot to grab a coffee and lunch after a swim at the beach.
Their cheesecakes are delicious and the bagels are really good.
Chill vibe and friendly staff.

The food is very good, always something vegan / vegetarian on offer that is delicious and for a reasonable price. Friendly staff make me feel welcome. I've become a regular.
