K.Had a nice lunch here. Staff were friendly and attentive. Was able to bring my meal out before the wife and kids as I had an appointment. Fantastic eggs bene and good coffee. No complaints on the day.
J.Ordered the avocado on halloumi and a coffee before work this morning, was super delicious and the staff were great! The girl (who I think was new) who served me was friendly and very good under pressure :)
L.Stopped in for brunch. One member of our party ordered eggs benedict with bacon and received two poached eggs on toast as can be seen from the photo. We then asked where the hollandaise sauce was and they brought it out separately. That's not exactly how I imagined eggs benedict to be like. We also ordered Americano coffee and it was rather watery. Don't think I'll be going back there especially given eggs Benedict, a chicken filo pastry and a toasted sandwich with three drinks came to $54.
A.Upmarket ambiance, friend staff members, with good food to match. We tried the baked salmon, and Chicken potato cake with side salads each. Very happy with what we get. Unfortunately, although the interior is nice with old/old-school ornaments, such effect/design/concept has been in almost every café and restaurant we visited; hence, it start to lost its appeal.

P.The Dixon Street Delicatessen used to have a national reputation. I don't go to Wellington often these days but when I went there 20 years ago it was excellent. Recently I had to arrive in Wellington about breakfast time so I went straight there. I wish I hadn't.
The website pics show a good selection of counter food. Ok it was only 8 am but there were only a few scones. The display was barren. However the kitchen menu was very good and well priced. The food was worth it if not outstanding. Then the coffee arrived. It was watery, lacking flavor or creme. On the few occasions I have had coffee that bad, I don't complain, but I don't go back. The coffee wasn't worth a star so I rated the place a three. Life is too short to waste on bad coffee. Very disappointed.

I know a lot of people who describe this as their favourite cafe in Wellington. I don't know if I would go that far but it us definately the complete package and we'll worth a 5 star rating.
The last few times I have been in have been for a work meeting so we have stuck to coffee (excellent) and counter food (ditto). I really want to come here and get something off the menu outside work hours and without the kids in tow. So watch this space for an updated review in only 10 years time.
I.I'm old enough to remember when the Dixon Street deli really was a deli and a grocery store too. If you couldn't get what you wanted from here you'd have to go without. Now those imported foods are everywhere and the deli of old is now solidly a cafe. But its still a great location and for me a trip down memory lane with the photos on the wall of the old days
J.Pricey but worth seeking out for breakfast as the food is very nice. I was feeling adventurous so tried the pear, blueberry, and ginger smoothie (non-dairy) and it was good. Nice to see them using paper straws.
L.Great selection of delicious cabinet foods. Didnt try anything from the menu, but will god back to have a look what else is available. Coffee was good and strong. Staff were lovely and professional. Plenty of seating.

Day 1 I walked in the door and was greeted so warmly I thought I would come back the following day, day 2 I felt like a regular as the lovely guy that works there alot remembered my coffee order. Excellent front of house team. I also have a slight savoury muffin addiction now...delicious! Keep up the great work team it doesn't go unnoticed!

F.Popped in here for a late breakfast. This place is a Wellington institution but we hadn’t been in a few years. I had the big brekkie and a chai latte. My other half had a burger and long black. Both drinks came with a little bit of delicious lemon cake, the coffee was good, and both meals were large, good value for money and beautifully seasoned. Plenty of seating, lots of cabinet food if you’re in a rush, good atmosphere, clean loos, and friendly lovely staff. My only quibble? The option of a half size big brekkie would be great, as I’m still mourning the food I had to leave behind, it was so good. Loved the variety on my plate, couldn’t fit it all in!

D.I remember visiting this deli as a child and it was a really authentic bustling New York style Jewish deli. These days its pleasant enough but seems like a pretty generic cafe diner. Good coffee though and clean and tidy.

G.We popped in because we know that it would be a better option for the kids than some of the other nearby options. The staff were happy to make a custom smoothie for our dietary needs, split to make child sized portions. My only issue was the lack of space for the buggy. It ended up being somewhat out of the way, but only by virtue of not being a very busy time.
A.A very bustling cafe with a comfy and clean decor. Visited here on a Sunday mid-morning and even with the busy atmosphere we were delivered our delicious food very promptly.
We ordered a butter chicken filo which I highly recommend. Very meaty and filling without shortage of flavour.
Also, a tandoori chicken roti wrap, quite nice but not as great as the filo.
Price is very reasonable for the standard of food you receive. Would happily revisit this cafe.

A.Went here for breakfast twice and got a simple toast, avocado and bacon. Mum got something with halloumi twice as well. It was very delicious.
There were options to get salads and savories takeway, so I'm sure you can find something for your needs.
R.Great salad selection, free WiFi and a pleasant atmosphere. Worth a visit for lunch.
There are also plenty of other bunch and snack options available but I went straight for a soup and a salad. Both really hit the spot. Service was fine and prices are reasonable, I'd go back.

N.Havent been here for awhile so thought I'd pop in for an omelette, service and staff was really nice and helpful even when it was busy. Had a banana berry smoothie aswel which was really nice and thick. Overall great atmosphere and music.
