R.Really good food, quality ingredients. Their relishes, sauces and such are top notch! Staff were really friendly. A huge improvement from the last time I was there. Its a very small place, and quite popular, so expect small tables and maybe even waiting a couple of minutes for a table to clear.
J.Great local cafe, top notch service, food, and coffee (including succulent allergy free options), and if you can score one of the three parks out front then you are in for a treat. Low key but classy... just right.
S.I'm a regular at Dunshea's because its location is convenient. The vegetarian food is good, and they have vegan options. Dog friendly sidewalk seats.
N.Always get great coffee & food here! Best scones in Wellington I'll also add - especially the smoked cheese ones <3. Friendly staff too. Be prepared to share a big table with other patrons on busy days (sat/sun brunch mostly). They also sell their amazing tomato relish and piccalilli by the jar.
A.Great little cafe - not a lot of indoor seating but the outdoor area is covered in and there are blankets available to keep you warm. My favourite gluten free caramel slice is found here! They also do a delicious gluten free frittata and amazing scones on Sundays.
B.Best gluten free scones, a treat for Sunday afternoons. Fantastic gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options. This is our go-to and would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a bite to eat at any time of the day.
E.Every time I go here the coffee is good and the food delicious. A lovely selection of cakes and amazing pies. The service is friendly too. This place is very popular which is not surprising. It is well worth a visit.

L.Dunsheas is such a wonderful little cafe! I have been frequenting this cafe for years, despite living closer to other cafes. They make fantastic breakfasts/brunches and always have a huge assortment of goodies in their display counter. They also have a partnership with Micro Origin's bakery who will provide unbelievable sour dough breads and other baked goods!
The friendly staff will eagerly make a wonderful chai latte or a good cup of coffee, and always take the time to ask you about your day.
Seating is fairly limited inside, but they do have heated and wind protected seating outside. Still too cold, they also provide nana blankets as well.
This is a popular place, even on weekdays, where parents will visit after dropping the kids off at school, so be sure to get in early.
P.Always excellent food and well made coffee. Love their Picalilli and relish. We are definitely regulars.
N.First time I have visited and actually had no clue it existed until I turned up for breakfast at automat which was closed but dunsheas was open next door .
