If you are looking for a nice place to have a coffee or work in a different ambiance I'd recommend Lashings. The WCF hot chocolate is tasty and not too sweet and the caramel slice is really yum.

I had the pleasure of stopping by for lunch during a stay in Wellington. Delicious food. Totally indulgent brownies. While not on the "beaten track", this cafe is worth hunting out (entrance down the alley, up some stairs). The atmosphere is light & friendly, & the food lip-smacking.

I've had the pleasure of trying a box of Lashings brownies delivered, as well as having morning tea in the Cafe. their cheese and hot sauce scones are delicious, just the right amount of heat for a mid morning wakeup. All the brownies were excellent - I really liked the vegemite while my more sweet toothed partner went for the PB and J, but honestly I'd happily have any again. Recommended.

Super friendly staff and delicious brownies. I walked past on Saturday and saw a sign outside that said dogs welcome so I popped in with my pup. They gave him a treat and a bowl of water. The brownie and ice cream was delicious, as was the hot chocolate. They are open late on sat night so I will definitely pop in next time I have a Kate night craving :)

Love their SoNuts - light, fluffy and delicious!!! Had their cereal milk milkshake and it was to die for! We’ll definitely be back again :)

I first discovered Lashings when I was visiting Wellington and the peanut brownies are so good that I get them sent to Auckland. Very delicious, and lovely people ❤️

Lashings has great service and even better food. A rotating roster of sonut and brownie flavour on weekend and a new brunch menu make it a great spot for takeaways or dining in. Excellent GF options including GF hot cross buns, will even ship some items nationally, check their socials.

Cute little dessert bar in the heart of Wellington. Brownies are always delicious and if you’re lucky you can grab one of their weekly sonut specials! There’s always new treats in the cabinet making you want to come back for more ☺️

Their Vegemite brownies are seriously the best brownies I've ever eaten. Hands down. Also their peanut butter and jam ones, and everything of theirs I've ever tasted! Only experienced via delivery so far sadly, but very much looking forward to a visit next time I'm in Wellington when I will eat all that my stomach/bank balance can handle.

Such a lovely place to go on your own or with company - well behaved dogs are welcome company too! Food is delicious, coffee hits the spot (even the plant based milk was steamed to perfection) and the service is super lovely. Definitely a place you must visit.

You can't hide good food. They say "let us make your belly happy". I think they are working very hard to honor that statement. Very clean bar and good environment. Love the brownies and other stuff. I can proudly say, wellington has got something very good to offer for sweet tooth.

This place is just ace. Great selection of delicious brownies, ice creams with sauces and toppings! Vegan and gluten free options too; portions are just the right size. The special hot chocolate is amazingly (according to my reliable companion). Limited seating upstairs where you can people watch, they do take away too. Staff were really friendly and chatty too.Total little gem of a place

The gluten free brownie looks great and tastes better. The weekend Sonuts looked delicious. Can’t comment on the taste. I’m pretty sure they would be very good. Just walk up the stairs. You won’t be disappointed.

Brownie is perfection in the mouth, the bun its bit dry and the ice cream goes pretty on the brownie side. I would say, presentation is 5/5 and taste 3/5. For the sweet tooth.. definitely worth it 👌

Afraid I have no pic as I couldn’t wait to eat what was put down in front of me from the ‘brownie bar’ menu option! My new favourite dessert place easily. VF GF DF. *edit: I had to take my other half there for a treat and got some pics this time; banana split very highly recommended!

Home of the $15 milkshakes - attractive flavours for sure, and mine was nice, but....I would have expected it to be served in a larger vessel instead of a gimmicky 2014-esque mason jar. As one might say in East London: you gotta be 'avin a laff incha?

Love this place for a treat! Every time I’ve been there I’ve always tried something new and recommended by the ever informative Jackie. I don’t leave empty handed either - they have a lovely selection of pottery coffee cups and teas available for purchase. Such reasonable prices for the desserts. Make sure you put Lashings on your list of places to hit up when you’re in Wellington!

Lashings was fabulous! The staff were amazing and the food was different from almost all other Cafe's but was sooooo good!. I had the chicken & waffles. First time I've ever had that but I would specifically go back to Lashings, just to have that. Our new favourite Cafe in Wellington.

Such a lovely company. I live in the UK and ordered some brownies to be delivered to my best friend in Wellington! I stupidly got the delivery address wrong three times! Jackie did everything she could at rectifying my mistake, she is so kind. My friend received her brownies in time for her anniversary and sent me a photo - they look delicious! Come here often. Always pleased. The menu often changes so there's always something new to try. Stalwart brownies are worth coming again and again for. Also dog friendly, which is a bonus. Heads up: it's up stairs so not accessible and there's no washroom.

I don't typically go mad for desserts, but their vegemite brownie does something to my brain. Absolutely delicious, I could eat it all day. Really lovely place and amazing team. I'll visit every time I'm in Wellington.

Chocolate.. tick! Brownie yummy-ness ... tick! Friendly-happy service... tick! Good supply of caffeine... absolutely a given (come on this is Wellys!) It is great to see that lashings are introducing cakes onto their menu and I can't wait to travel back for some (yum carrot cake!) While you can guarantee that when you visit Lashings, everything you have will be delicious. The customer service provided by the staff is always friendly. I have never felt anything but welcome and my custom appreciated. Many a time, I have spend a Saturday afternoon sat at the counter with many many cups of coffee chilling the afternoon away. For God's sake if you do venture in for some brownie yummy-ness please please please have a vegemite brownie for me! ESPECIALLY if you are not been much of a vegemite lover or if you have more of a savoury leaning, they were a game changer for me!

Lashings is my favourite place in Wellington! Perfect for a first date, some alone time to focus on my writing, or to chat with owner Jackie who is an incredible human. Lashings have supported me and my poetry since we met at the underground market. Support local business like they supported me! Also, the food is divine, but you'll soon find that out...

Lashings is THE place to go in Wellington for delicious sweet treats.... I still dream of their 2020 Wellington Burger on a Plate brownie burger with passionfruit jelly and raspberry cream. Brownies to die for! Gf and vegan, milk chocolate & peanut butter, 70% single origin, the list goes on. Other delishimo items in the cabinet. Karamu coffee as well. All to eat in or takeaway, or both. No complaints here 😶🙃

Really delicious brownies but just found that you don’t get much for what you pay, initially thought $12 for a brownie and drink combo sounded pretty reasonable but the coffee was only half full in the mug and the brownie was tiny even with sauces and toppings. Customer service was ok but could have been more cheerful. However I will say it’s a nice wee location in the sun and the baker obviously knows how to make good baking. Looks like more effort has been put into the image rather than the deliverance, I was expecting a lavish brownie experience but just didn’t really get that. Over all average just needs some slight adjustments to be the spectacular place they have the potential of being.

Finally, a place to get real brownies! Set in a lovely cafe space where the Six Barrel Soda shop used to be, Lashings does its one thing expertly well. Take on the Bougee Brunch Brownie. You can do it. You deserve it.

Well hidden brownie specialist cafe im Eva street just above Eva Beva. Some lovely people running it. The place itself is so awesome, comfy cool chairs, warm and bright room, nice to just have a coffee and enjoy the view. I could sit there for ages. AND THERE'S BROWNIES and oder good stuff.
